Most likely not. Plot trophies are given out as soon as the prize shop opens, but that wasn't the case this time, so there probably won't be trophies.

But still, it's weird. I think this is the first plot without trophies. Maybe they just forgot and we'll get them later? This is Jumpstart we are talking about.

Oh my, it turns out the new weapon can also heal your pet! Apparently people just found out today, and Jellyneo's IDB updated its stats:

It's basically a cheaper version of Illusens' Staff.

This changes things drastically... Now that it looks like the prices will skyrocket, I might consider spending my points on the weapon rather than the background

Who knows. People have been saying that Neopets could shut down at any moment 2010, but it's almost 2020 and the site is still functional. Granted, it's a complete mess, but the fact that it still exists is quite an impressive feat.

Anyway, with so much discussion about the death of Neopets over the years, I've honestly stopped caring about when it'll happen. Maybe it'll happen ten years from now, or maybe it'll happen tomorrow. Either way I'm prepared.

How would that work though? I can understand archiving the site, but hosting and keeping it alive would be kinda hard, wouldn't it? There would be no way to retrieve user information, so players would have to start from zero, and even then, a fan-supported site would be kinda sketchy.

Oooh, I hope we get to pick the site theme perk again.  I've always wanted to have those old site themes from past plots.

As is usually the case with these prize shops, I'm not gonna spend my points for a while. I'm probably not even gonna spend them at all 'cause a) I'm too indecisive b ) the more time that passes the more expensive these items get

Huh, my guess is that the Light Faerie would like "something diet" 'cause of the double meaning of the world "light"   The Dark Faerie would like black coffee because it's bitter, which leaves "Anything carbonated" to the Air Faerie by process of elimination.

I just looked up "tombola" on Google and is it the same as bingo? 'Cause if so, yeah, we've got those here. But isn't Neopets' version of tombola quite different? Like, don't you have to pull out a ticket and depending on the number you get you're given a certain prize? That seems different from bingo and the definitions of tombola I found online.

Thank god I finally played the new game yesterday and got the achievements I was missing...

Got an Air Faerie quest yesterday, so not a good way to start. But today I got a Battle Faerie quest, so all's good now!

Also, this is the perfect opportunity to use my leftover quest cookies + keep training at the ninja school (I'm lazy so I stopped doing it as soon as I got access :P) This is power training at its best!

Just for fun I'm gonna keep track of my BD pet's progress throughout the event. I wanna see how much stronger he gets by the end of it.

Sadly, I won't be able to do this part of the plot. My down arrow key is broken, and using Windows' onscreen keyboard doesn't seem to work with HTML5 games.

I know I've said this before, but Christmas really gets me in the mood of giving. I just wish I had more money on my pockets right now. I recently completed my gallery and it was my biggest accomplishment on Neo, but sadly it left me dirt poor. Gonna have to earn some cash.

I'm complaining a little, internally  As you said, using the cursor can be a little tricky, and I really don't like how the rotating footer pictures are poorly resized:

There's definitely not a reliable way to know who's gonna win, but I've correctly predicted the winner team all years except for one just by asking myself which side most people would consider cooler  I take into account two factors: the character TNT chose for the team (design-wise), and the theme of the team itself. My reasoning is as follows:

2012: the pirates vs ninjas debate may have been going on for ages, but look up every single poll on the internet and you'll see that ninjas win every time

2013: Similarly, look up any "Day vs Night" poll and night always wins. Besides, the sun's cool and all, but people prefer the more mysterious and mystical moon

2015: Look at this image and tell me which faerie was drawn by the old art team and thus looks cooler and which one was drawn by the new art team and thus looks terrible

2016: This was the year that took me by surprise. I went with Heroes instead of Villains because Jazan has an incredibly huge fanbase on the site, but in the end the Villains won. Then I realised most people who play the GMC are either new players or players that haven't been on the site long enough to even know who Jazan is, so they went with the character that looked cooler, namely the demonic skeleton engulfed in flames

2017: Hubrid Nox is a vampire potato with a moustache, so of course Magax won.

2018: Chivalry always wins over thievery. Not to mention whoever drew Hanso in the GMC homepage made him look surprisingly scrawny... if I didn't know who he was I'd would've chosen the cooler-looking character i.e., Brynn (they used old art for her).

Welp, I knew the Knights would win since the beginning, but I joined the Raiders anyway 'cause I like Hanso. Still, I've been on the losing team for 3 years in a row now, and seeing those silver trophies on my userlookup really bugs me. I'm fine with bronze, but silver? What an ugly colour.

Next year, I'll choose the team most likely to win rather than the team I actually want to join

Have you tried using the On-Screen keyboard on your computer (if it has one)? My notebook's down arrow key has been broken for over a year now, but thanks to the on-screen keyboard option I was able to get gold in Daily Dare and now I'm doing fine with this year's GMC challenges :) It can be a little tricky with certain games, but you get the hang of it eventually.
