Note that you can only collect 1 site theme & avatar each... Some people on the boards say they were able to get 2 themes, but mine says out of stock.

Wow! I thought those people were lying, but I just checked my preferences and I now have the Curse of Maraqua site theme! When I redeemed my perk it said I only received the Cyodrake Gaze one.

but i'm still not sure about the other perks .. the Stock Market & Bank Interest ? are these permanent ... ??

Depends on the perk. Those two last 1 year :)

To be honest I'm okay with this prize shop. Overall it is definitely a little disappointing, but I've always wanted to have some of the old retired site themes, so to be able to redeem one made me pretty happy :P

  3. The perks shop is open!

I redeemed the Bring Back the Old Days boon:

I was hoping for the Curse of Maraqua site theme :( But oh well, getting a retired site theme is still pretty cool :P

There's also a perk that gives you one avatar you don't already have, but don't expect to get a rare or retired one. There's a list of possible avatars in the FAQ, and they're mostly clicklables, so if you've already got them all, you'll be given the Royal Korbat avvy (the version you don't have).

Granny was so overwhelmed with the amount of support and donations you all showed in this wondrous time of giving this special Charity Corner! She truly was humbled by all your amazing efforts that she even shed a little tear when speaking on how proud she was of everyone. It just shows the true spirit of this community! Granny has been so overjoyed that she hasn't actually come out to tell us when the shop will be ready. She has just been working so hard to make all the preparations so we are guessing she's adding a few extra surprises for all the donations, so stay tuned and we will notify you as soon as we hear from Granny!

    Of course

Your participation in the Charity Corner event this season did not go unnoticed. Granny Hopbobbin was so impressed by your generosity that she has sent you a gold trophy for your user lookup, as well as 10,000 Neopoints, 250 NC and three exclusive items! Doesn't it feel good to give back?

Looks like my predictions about the prize tiers were waaay off. Apparently 10001+ points is enough to get a gold trophy.

To be honest, I like the trophies, but the participation medal looks cooler. Loving the red and gold :P

Thank you so much for all your donations! The Make a Difference Drive has definitely been a success! Now did you really believe that I wouldn't give you anything for your deeds? Oh no, I have been in touch with some very good friends and acquaintances, and they will be putting together some delightful offers for you to choose from, based on how many points you have earned. It will take a few days for all the details to come together, but I have something else for you in the meantime. Trophies, a gift or two - keep an eye on your Neomail so you don't miss out!

And now we play the waiting game :P

By the way, some people on the neoboards are reporting that the thusfar mysterious 'haze' achievement (now called 'Haze Be Gone') is green for them. Mine is still grey, even though I double-checked all the places that had the purple haze, but I'd already cleared it all. More glitchy things, I suppose.

Have you tried to F5 or hard refresh the page? It worked for me and now the achievement is green :)

I'm just confused how The Darkest Faerie got out AGAIN, I mean I'm not sure of the video game is canon or not, but after that huge battle with Tormund + Roberta and her I'm surprised she's back (also is it just me or is her being the Darkest Faerie seem really last minute and thrown together?).

Remember that in The Faeries' Ruin epilogue it is mentioned that the Darkest Faerie's statue went missing after Faerieland crashed, and King Altador embarked on a quest to find it. I always just assumed that after all the petrified faeries turned back to normal, TDF did too, and that's how she managed to escape. Pretty clever twist if you ask me (credit to the old TNT, not Jumpstart) :P

10000 points per day??? Yikes. I could see it on one day, but for all 11? Wow.

I know right? I saw someone on the neoboards who already has 102029 points. I'm not even kidding. HOW.

My hunch tells me that if the prizes are gonna be tier-based, it's gonna be something like this:

    Top tier: 50,000+ points

    Second: 25,000+ points

    Third: 10000+ points

    Fourth: 5000+ points

    Fifth: 1000+ points

Participation trohy: at least one donation

I might be completely wrong though :P

I've just finished donating all the super/extra/ultra rare stuff. Starting on rares that only nets you 10 points for each quintet of donations . . . MEH! lol.

I wish I still had those! I ran out a while ago :P

I'm at 8138 points now. I think I'll try to get to 10000 and then stop. The donating process is so tedious and frustrating that I'm slowly but surely losing what little sanity I had left :arrowhead:

    I am deeper than you!

It's going much quicker for me now, maybe because I've nearly cleared the 1300+ items that were in my inventory now

Wow! Almost double :arrowhead: Do you have a point goal set in mind? Also, do you listen to music or something while you donate? If it weren't for music I just couldn't do this. Donating is such a tedious process

I just sold 5 stone muffins for 3300 NP each LOL

How ya doing it? I've been trying to sell Sturdy Shields/The Missing Koi/Realm of the Water Faeries/Maraquan Defenders Stamps for the past 2 days to no avail :arrowhead:

I'm just wondering why you would want to donate higher rarity items worth thousands (or even a thousand) when you can just stock up on 1-10np junk and donate that en masse?

Isn't that a much better NP/charity points ratio? Or am I missing something:D

Because getting a high-score that way would take so much more time. Also, unlike in previous CCs, higher rarity items are not really selling that well (at least from my own experience), so if I can't get money from them I'd rather just donate them :P

This is my first time participating in Charity Corner, I have been with Neo for a while but I must not have been paying that much attention though because I don't remember ever being involved or even hearing about it. It's a good thing I have quite a few things laying around in my inventory that I haven't sold yet. Not a hoarder but haven't been on Neopets for a while and havn't been keeping my inventory cleaned up.

Hoping there's an avatar out of this, has there been any in the past?

Yup, there's been an avatar for all previous Charity Corners, so it's very likely that this year will be no different. But who knows.

  15. I'm torn between donating all my r90+ items or selling them. If I donate, there's a good chance that the prize shop/boons won't have been worth it, and even if they end up being decent, I probably won't be able to score high enough to get the high-tier prizes. I mean sure, I have 500+ r90 items, but that pales in comparison to the hundreds of users who've been hoarding since last year and already got 10000+ points on the first day. If I sell, however, I am guaranteed to make a profit.

Ugh, if only I had future vision so I could see what the prize shop will be like.
