I really thought it was April Fools for a second there.

A Neopets TV show? Something like this was already highly unlikely back when the site was in its prime, so for it to happen now... wow.

It's gonna be aimed at kids but that's to be expected, and I don't really mind since kids' shows can be fun. What actually worries me is Beach House Picture's portfolio: mostly puppet shows and a couple of animated series that don't even show up on Google.

Interesting! I'm gonna start fighting Walein too and see if the rewards are better. If I weren't lazy I would make an excel document with the items I receive over time to confirm which battledome opponent is better

So far I've noticed that the codestone rewards are pretty consistent when I fight against Walein. I always seem to get 5-6 codestones, whereas with  Koi Warrior I may get 2 codestones one day and 9 codestones another. However, I haven't gotten that many red codestones with Walein: I only got 2 after five days, whereas it's not uncommon for me to get 2 red codestones daily fighting Koi Warrior.

So I think I'm gonna stick with the Koi.

Apart from what Nielo suggested, maybe you could try visiting the NC Mall, if you haven't already done that? Sometimes (and for whatever reason) your NC balance doesn't update until you visit the NC Mall.

At first I thought this year's Advent Calendar (or rather, last year's) was the weirdest one to date, but I went back to the archive and watched some of the animations for previous years and... it turns out that the AC has always been random and just plain weird. It's just that now that the animations are longer the weirdness sticks out more  But it's true that they get cheaper each year.

As far as I know, the Grundos stopped being Sloth's prisoners after he was defeated during The Return of Dr. Sloth plot (that's when Cylara and Gorix were introduced).

The description for the Space Station seems to support this:

Last year when I created a Hissi, I decided I was going to paint him Brown. However, when I saw that Steampunk Hissis were already brown AND they came with some fancy clothes, I went for that colour instead.

I like how we always get lots of wearables from the Advent Calendar, but it's usually just trinkets (foreground items, backgrounds, etc) and not clothes you can actually put on your pets (shirts, jackets, shoes, gloves, etc). Hopefully this year we'll get at least a couple of clothes.

I don't know if anyone here has been following these videos, but since I couldn't find any threads about it, I figured why not make one.

So there's this guy called tamago2474 that started a series called "The Neopets Experience" on his Youtube channel. Basically it's about him playing Neopets for the first time in years and giving his thoughts on it. They're all pretty high-quality videos that give insight into the pros and cons of this half-dead website we all like to play, with a lot of humour mixed in

The guy's goal is to play every single game available on Neopets, taking breaks every now and then to explore other aspects of Neopets (customisation, the Battledome, etc).

Ooh, you guys. Maybe everyone here already knew this, but I just found out that the items you donated for this year's CC count toward your Rubbish Dumb avatar discard count. If you donated a ton of stuff, go to your inventory, manually discard one more item, and you'll get the avatar:

Wait, what? No item prizes this year? That sucks...

Oh well, at least they kept the NC reward. I also really like the trophy:

They usually run a script that gives out the prizes to users in alphabetical order, and sometimes they even subdivide users in batches. I see that your username starts with an "x", so you might have to wait a little bit, especially if you weren't in the first batches. Alternatively, try going to the NC Mall and see if your NC balance changes.

I for one won't complain about the extra week. Gave me enough time to (somehow) make it to 21500 points.

I feel like the lag takes away from the NQ experience. I remember having a blast when I played NQ2 for the first time years ago, but I can't imagine myself playing it again with this lag.

This makes the process so much faster. I had actually tried using the TAB key to donate just like last year, but I was hitting ENTER instead of SPACEBAR (cause I'm an idiot) and I thought that trick didn't work.  Turns out it does! Also, I never would've thought of going back on my browser.

I'm now at 10k points. 1k more to get all the perks I want.

Yup, I am. The problem is that I ran out of items to donate, so I'm buying those 1-point keychains from the Obelisk War prize shop:

Just like I did last year. The thing is that having to buy the items first slows down the donation process considerably, and I'm already tired of it. That's why I'm surprised at my past self for being able to donate 20.000+ of those damn keychains  Guess I ran out of patience (then again, patience has never been a virtue of mine)

Good lord, how did I make 30k points last year? I have 5000 points and I'm already so tired of donating...  I have to keep going though. I want 10k at least.

I don't feel the tingles, but I'm obsessed with ASMR and all its different genres: whispering, tapping, scratching, mic brushing, ear cupping, mukbang, serial killer victim role play, you name it. I just find it so relaxing, and it helps me fall asleep at night.

Yeah, that happens to me a lot too and it's annoying. What works for me is to not open/load any other pages on the site while the wheel is spinning. Basically just wait for it to stop, then close that tab and that should do the trick... maybe? At least that works for me. Hope it works for you too!

But at the end of the day it's just a bonus. What we're here for is the daily quests, and in that regard the event did not disappoint (it never does, really). Here are my pet's stats before and after the event:

I did some training inbetween (mostly level and strength), but I stopped midway 'cause I'm lazy. Still, I'm very happy with the results overall.

I'm not the biggest fan of defence, so once I get to the next boost I might stop training defence altogether.

So you know how at the end of the event you get a special prize if you visited every day? I was going through the list of prizes from previous years and:

We still haven't gotten a prize themed after Light or Water faeries. I'm hoping that changes soon, so no elemental faerie is left out.

Got really lucky today! Received a Battle Faerie quest, and then I used my fortune cookie and got a Faerie Queen quest!
