Another somewhat expensive avatar under my belt. Today is my first time wishing for stuff at the Wishing Well. I went for Bags of Peanuts because need to feed those to an Elephante. I need one of those too.

I got bored of Cellblock - particularly losing at Cellblock. So I got this instead:

I've just answered the Daily Puzzle and I spotted the March artwork on the calendar... !!!!!!! They COMBINED the sack race with the egg and spoon race?! What kind of monsters were Adam and Donna?! I always hated sports day as I was never the fastest runner, and I'm completely non-competitive, the very thought of those two horrors melded into one is making me want to go hide in the girls' toilets. Are those of you who are not Brits wondering what I'm on about, or are these kind of races held in your country too? What sports did you do at school? I was universally meh at all sports, apart from tennis, and the javelin, I enjoyed that and was quite good at it. I like me a nice big pokey stick! But they didn't do it at the new school I went to after we moved, so no more of that, just netball and rounders, and like so many girls I don't think I ever managed to hit the ball in rounders... Did you like sports at school?

Well, I got this doing my dailies: Of course, I had to get it by losing my Imposter Apple.

Woo Hoo! I'm glad you got the Graveyard one it's such a pain in the butt. Somehow, someway, I have a Cellblock Champion trophy but I can't for the life of me remember playing the game. Good luck on the avatar. I'm currently working on a Godoril avatar.

I'm fairly sure that the occasions I win against Vex in this tournament are just because the game takes pity on me as well!! I'm hoping that it is 300 games, but JN seems to be the only one saying that. A NT editorial confirmed it wasn't random but nobody else seems to have figured it out!! Good luck on your losing streak. I'd love to get the silver trophy (I have bronze) but I don't think it's going to happen!!

Thanks for the reminder! I keep forgetting that one! I also got the Graveyard of Doom one! I'm now being trounced on Cellblock in a vague hope of getting that one. Tournament four and the computer is soooo much smarter than me!

Today has been a productive day in my avatar collection quest: I was never a big Battledome player so that's why I hadn't gotten this one yet. I always forget to screen shot these to post here. *sigh* I'll admit, I freaked out for this one because I didn't see the notification. For a split second, I thought it was broken and I wasn't going to be able to get it. One more book toward the book trophy.

I'm jealous! I wonder if my basic dislike stemmed from the rather toxic shaming habits of British schools at that point. Far more likely to be told off for not being good enough, rather than encouraged. Gotta say I enjoyed the volleyball we learnt at my second secondary school, that was what we played on wet days and in the winter, a VAST improvement on the hockey at the first school, I detested that. Mostly because it was only played in the winter; nothing quite like being stuck outside in a little gym skirt and t-shirt, having to run around on rutted and frozen solid mud... All character-building, right?! @Angeló saying about basketball reminds me of them trying to teach us that, oh my the confusion that ensued. x'D For girls who'd spent years playing netball, basketball was just so wrong, like: WHAT? You run with the ball?! But that's not allowed! We used to do this run, it was kind of exciting as we got to leave the school, oh my gosh!! x'D I shall draw the route for you! That long bit's along a narrow footpath on the bank of the river - a river that's a foot deep at best and a good pole vaulter could clear with ease - no worries about anyone falling in. x'D The crossed out part before we got back onto that path didn't exist at that point, the bigger bit was a field, and the smaller a little bit of woodland. Oh and who's ahead of me with guessing what some people thought was a good idea... Yup, takin' a cheeky shortcut through the allotments? You betcha! And was there a teacher lurking on the far side of 'em? That'd be a yes too.

Sports day was my favorite day of the year! I loved it! I wasn't extremely good or anything but I just really liked it. In high school I was a decent distance runner because of riding my bike to school every day, even in bad weather. School was 11 km away from home so my overall stamina had gone up decently. I still like doing sports and being active. I did prefer single person sports compared to group things, with the exception of softball and a softer version of rugby. And although I'm pretty competitive I dislike competitions.

It was a Cheery Holiday Bruce Goodie Bag! I'm trying to have as many goodie bags as I can especially ones I wasn't around for so that worked out perfectly her is hoping we continue to have good luck and others do as well at getting their wishes!

Our cat Bombur (named after the dwarf from The Hobbit) ate something he shouldn't have. Or multiple somethings. He was clearly sick two days ago, and we took him to the vet as soon as he could get an appointment. He's been there since 8:15 AM yesterday, and they may have to do surgery for what is likely an intestinal blockage. I've barely slept the past two nights as a result. He's less than a year old. We got him and his brother Moth last May after losing our 15 year old cat in February of 2020. Bombur is much more outgoing than Moth, and Moth is clearly missing him. Dad says we should be able to pay for his treatment, but it will be a lot. If it brings him home it will have been worth it. Here's a few pictures. I'm upset that I have many more pictures of Moth than Bombur because Bombur is fuzzier and is harder to get a clear picture of. When he gets back I'll be taking many more. Moth is the black and white one, Bombur is orange. Both are polydactyl, so their front paws look like mittens. I should go back to bed, but I'm waiting for news.
