Rant sorry. Just got a grey faerie quest and she asked for a Harris Chair. No problem I think. Nope. Some kind soul(s) have inflated it from 1000np to 1 million practically overnight. 

I don't understand why people do this. I'm not in the camp who's willing to shell out 1 million for the possibility of a rainbow dip, so they won't get the nps from me. All the inflators have done is chip away at the fun of a new event on the second day. Why?!

I do wish they'd go back to giving us a day and a half for the first day of any event. It hadn't started by the time I logged off work and so I missed the first day. They know people are in different time zones and they always used to account for that but haven't for the last two events. It wouldn't be so bad if they set the event to go live at midnight NST, but it's a pain in the rear when you have to wait for them to program it to start and if you're eight hours ahead you miss it.

First quest

Which would be awesome as it's a 300np item. Except shop wizard is showing the cheapest at almost 500,000np. Why do people have to be like this. I'm refreshing the main shop page instead. I swear previous years weren't this bad.

 

Has anybody else seen the Charity Corner side of things update? I can't find it on the main website, but it's all over the neoboards and Reddit. So ten items a day with the best points being for NC items. TNT have successfully destroyed Charity Corner AND turned it pay to play. I thought they were planning on listening to their user base this time?

The pay to win aspect is ridiculous. I have a decent amount of NC junk in my bank luckily, but not enough for the entire event, and I'm sure not giving them any more money after the NQ fiasco, so I'll probably be out of luck for whatever the top prize is. On top of still having mountains of worthless junk in my SDB.

Just disappointing really. Even for my usual expectations for TNT.

The NC element should be in a completely seperate part. Like previous years. Otherwise it's pay NC to get NP which goes against the rules of the site itself!

I have 75,000 items. If I collect dailies for the full 14 days that's another 500 items odd. I will be able to donate about 1/4 of the random junk I accumulate during the event itself. 

There's the whole 'more fair to newbies' argument. But how? r200 are worth 15 points. Cheapest is a baby paint brush at 600,000. So 6,000,000np a day for 150 points. Or 150 Shiny Obsidians for more grind but what? 10np each? So 1500np a day. But you can't get 150 points through Obsidians if there's a 10 a day cap. 

It screws everyone - the old players who spent hours over the last three years prepping. The new players who can't afford 15 point items to donate. And any player who can't afford NC. TNT have outdone themselves on the ridiculousness here.

It seems they removed it now, but originally the point spread listed r200-500 as worth 15 points. I agree that the NC items should be kept to a seperate system.

The 'fairer to newbies' argument is, idk, like yeah maybe it's a little unfair but that's just part of being a new player, you're not going to be able to participate in stuff to the same extent that older players can. I've been there myself lol, and I just waited for the next event. Which I suppose only works if they do these events more regularly than they have been over the past few years!

I really hope that if they're willing to remove the r500s from the general prize pool (assuming that they were meant to be included and that wasn't just a typo) that they lift the cap.

The reason things are becoming inflated is due to the "Charity Corner" aspect of this event. People want to take advantage of everyone's need for the higher rarities and skyrocket the price. It's a shame really as it ruins the event for people which is why in past Charity Corners, I've only done what I felt as the bare minimum. Now that we're only able to donate 10 items per day makes things a bit trickier as I have been hoarding piles of dung in my SDB for this such event.

In the FAQ of the Events/Plots portion of Support they have a Recycling section that refers to a Charity Corner-esque event that will take place alongside the Faerie Festival.

If you're on the legacy pages of the website there should be a button at the bottom of the page called Help:

and on the migrated pages it will be Support:

That should bring you to the Support page and then from there you should see this

Also, fairer to newbies only makes sense if you can donate a ton of cheap items that newbies can get their hands on easily. A newbie would find it easier to donate 150 one point items than 10 15 point items. Hell, most of us would. I'm buying tombola guys from the Hidden Tower for it which completely destroys the purpose of recycling old items.

They do seem to have removed r500 from the page. But the 10 item limit is still there.

I have over a thousand Shiny Obsidians that I've been stocking. But with a ten item limit and them onnly being worth 1 point, it's not worth it at all

The inflation is also because of the quest system. Only four faeries giving quests and a limited pool of requested items means that those item pools have inflated horrendously.

Is anyone else having a problem with this link? I could not screen shot it but I was able to get a copy (below). I clicked that more than 10 times and it will not give me a quest? This is turning into one lame event! It just gets worse. OH, I forgot to add I am not getting a prize today. The link starts out blue and clicking makes it purple but that is all I get. What is todays prize I am getting cheated out of?

I didn't even realize it started but where is this so called "recycle items" button supposed to be over on the faerie festival page I'm undecided on if I'm even going to participate this year but I don't even see it to begin with??

So the points have changed again. Now r200's are no longer included - thank God I only bought two tombola guys. But r98-100 has been nerfed to 4 points? And r102's at 8 points? Guess my omelette hoard may come in handy after all. I am... absolutely baffled by the chaos they are creating with this.

And the max has gone up to 30 points. Which shows they really aren't listening. That's still far too low - considering people have thousands of items stored. And is item based not points based.

Having just checked, I have 1070 r102+ omelettes. If everything now stays the same, I have enough omelettes for 35 days of the festival. So I'm goooold.

I too rank right up with you on the omelet front. LOL  They can have them and I will keep everything else. I wholeheartedly agree with you about this whole event. It is horrible but ranks right up there with all of the past events they have had from the past. I am trying to remember a CC event that hasn't been screwed up from the beginning and most always even to the end of the event. I'm wondering why I should think this one should be any different. Even the FF is a mess. I was denied a quest yesterday because I declined doing a Grey Faerie quest the day before. Glitch or no glitch they have yet to offer a replacement quest and give me an extra one to replace the one I didn't get and I got no daily prize either.  So happy days, so happy they have it all under control. If the item the Grey faerie wanted had not went from a price of about 1200 to 227000 I would have completed the quest but I refuse to play these members game seeing how high them can price the items and gouge members. Ridiculous if you ask me (I know, nobody asked me).

I've beenn absently checking the clothing shop today - not as often as I probably should but motivation is at an all time low. The Grey Faerie wants Ixi Fuzzy Markings which have gone from 5000 to 900,000np almost overnight. I paid 200,000 for the space cracker things but at least that was a definite Fountain Faerie quest and mushroom Chia is 20mil. I'm not paying 900k for a grey faerie shot in the dark.

I should have stopped being disappointed with TNT by now. They rarely manage to deliver a fraction of what they promise. The best parts of Charity Corner they said. And then have a 30 item limit meaning the event is over in five minutes a day. It's like they want to drive people off the darn site.

ETA: Don't hold your breath for the missing faerie quest. They never gave me my triple max of AC games on the first day despite it being a glitch that their programming team caused. I could have had a thousand more points. But nope. It wouldn't be fair. Or there wouldn't be a fair way to do it. Despite providing screenshots.

I agree with everything you have said. I get so aggravated with them! Neo is definitely not the reason I stay it's more because of my friends around the site. It is a shame that Neo doesn't realize that us older folk might just be the bread and butter of the site. Now, I'm not saying they wouldn't survive without us but what if we didn't support the Mall? Where would the support $$ come from then? They treat this like they are dealing with 6 yr olds instead of adults. This is only my opinion of course.  I am just really upset with them right now. I hope they change some of these guidelines they have for the CC before Monday. I guess we'll see. I know how important it is to *BE FAIR TO EVERYONE* What a joke!

Today my quest was / is for the Battle Faerie. You won't believe it but the item I needed was a Royal Advisers Yurble Shirt. So I JN it and found it was supposed to cost in the area of 1850 np. Now during this festival we all know that means we can expect to pay an outrageous amount for the item BUT I actually bought the item for  2545 np's Maybe could have found it for less if I had kept refreshing the page but I was satisfied so I bought it. So I got this message

Defence was + 3     Strength was +3   and Health was +3  I think that is by far the best quest since it started only a few days ago and that is how these quests are supposed to go. I wish members  would open their eyes and realize they really don't need to take advantage of the fellow members. I am not trying to be on some holier than thou trip I just feel that being a good fellow member is the right thing to do. OH well, this has redeemed  my feeling about the quests a tiny bit. Thanks for listening to my  be itching (of course, spelled wrong on purpose).

 

I also have a Cookie Quest open and got a Dark Faerie quest and she wanted a Virtupets Balloon I had one in my gallery so I used it band she gave me in return ...

For your efforts, Legretta_Abyss's health has increased! So today's quests were both a win win.

I was thinking that I haven't seen any mention of the NC Free The Faeries part of the event. I am participating in that. I bought the large pack, 12? slingshots? Anyway, I am quite happy with the items I have received so far. Nothing great and out of this world but I believe the prizes are ok. At least I'm getting items I do not already have in my SDB. Is anyone else doing the FTF part of the event and if so what do you think about the prizes you have got so far?
