So excited! It's my birthday today and my daughter (also on Neopets, both of them are) got me the Adventures in Neopets board game! It has all the pieces and looks so much fun. Has anyone ever played it?

Personally, I have the same sense of low key dread that I got coming into it last year mixed with the excitement of possibly getting another Yooyu for my gallery. The dread is always there because playing the same games hundreds of time is never going to fill me with glee... This year though, I don't have the feeling of missing out on neopoints by not playing my usual flash games for 50-100k a day... as there are so very few Flash games. However, I also have this growing dread that of the flash games that they have converted, very few of them actually work. And even the ones that do work are glitchy as hell - I'm looking at you, Turmac Roll. So are we going to be met with a game that is all but unplayable creating the kind of chaos that we haven't seen since the year they revamped the game and it was met with outright shock, hatred and serious rage??

They've done nicely on both the colour and the clothing, haven't they? I particularly like the vines flowing up the Woodland Hissi. Very pretty! The outfit would probably look awesome on the Woodland Hissi as well! Unfortunately only the staff and tail piece are currently modelled on DTI

yeah i really dig the warmer tones for woodland, and i love that the wood rings mimic the scales! that's a lovely little detail

Decided to swap to a different pet for a while, since this guy has been sitting around as a boring base colour for a while; started out as a Uni and got zapped to a Bruce. Kinda hoping for an Ice zap now...

The pet is indeed really nicely done. I'm kind of glad that they didn't try to make it look like a gnarly root or something else as they have with some of the Woodland pets, as that can be so hit and miss. A well done "traditional" Woodland pet is better than a poorly executed alternative one. This one looks like a carving that's been lovingly oiled for years, there's some lovely glowing depth to the gloss on the wood, I want to stroke its head.

Nooo! I spun the Wheel of extravagance for the heck of it but forgot to change to my battle pet. So I paid 100,000 np for +5 defense on a pet that doesn't need it. Blah. edit- 5/27/21 I just got the most I've ever gotten from the Wheel of Misfortune- 10,000 np. JennyNeo says the wheel can only give out 4,000 np Max, so I'm sending them a note.
