Those Kiko Lake bandits have become the #1 thieves in Neopia pretty quickly .. the Mutant Grundo and Shadow Usul are not even there anymore I remember once the Grundo stole my Neopian Philharmonic CD which I paid 100K for !!! Yes 100K was like 10Mil now .. he did it the second I logged in to my side after sending the item there for my gallery .. I was so bummed but my Guild's Leader at the time (May he RIP) replaced it for me almost instantly Bottom of the story : These guys should really go away , they won the CUP and are still robbing people !!? .............. Rude !!

Looks like my strategy of spending the points as I went worked out for me. I made a little over 3 million neopoints thus far because I obtained then sold the prizes before they deflated. I'm down to my 1 point items, and expect to be able to afford one or two more prizes. The petpet was so cute that I swapped out a petpet I'd spent many neopoints on to attach it to my acara. Now I have a maractite vullard to sell

Well, I've jumped. I figure I'll make profit on any Icy's I now buy and any Battledome stuff I pick up rather than spending it on points. I'll only be able to afford the lowest tier items now anyway, so selling the 6 point items is quicker and easier!! I've gone for the Hegie and the Stamp for me, then bought a handful of foregrounds, necklaces and an extra Hegie for resale. Already sold one foreground! For the NC side of things; I really wanted the Pathway of Shells and Underwater Castle Background. I've then grabbed the Snorkelling Background and the Tropical Flowers Foireground with my remaining badges. I might see if I can find a decent trade for the Tropical Forest Background at some point, but it's not urgent. The ones I really liked were the shells and the underwater castle.

Yeah, that water looks way more like Maractite than the other water designs...

1st and 3rd place, which yeah, that means there's only 6 of them in existence. Not to mention it was awarded back in 2010. There's a good chance some or all of those people aren't playing anymore. It sucks when items get lost to abandoned accounts.

This event may rank right up there for one of the biggest disasters TNT's managed so far, but it has definitely kept people occupied! A lot more maths going on on Neopets than usual.

So what about having 20-30 pant devil attractors? They totally should make an avatar for getting something stolen by KL. xD That's the kind of irony early-TNT reveled in. It would also diminish a little of the salt the theft generates.

You only need to put about 20-30 junk items in your inventory and a couple pant devil attractors This way you can still see the item(s) you want to trade and decrease the chance of it being stolen

Ouch, that is unfortunate. It's especially worse when you've only just taken it out of your SDB to sell on the TP/Auction house, etc. That's always my worst nightmare when I'm moving something from my SDB, though it hasn't happened to me yet. I agree with what others have said on removing these sorts of REs that can take away tens or hundreds of millions of NP if you're unlucky like this; they did remove REs such as Boochi for a similar reason iirc, as one unlucky RE while your pet was active could instantly remove a multimillion dollar paint job. (Correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't Boochi and similar REs affect exclusive and nigh-unobtainable colours such as Robot or Ice?)

The only thing they've stolen from me is a plate of pasta and worms, they were totally welcome to that xD That WAS just after they won the AC tho... those pesky skittles have NO sense of timing!

WOW thanks for the hearty welcome!!!! Oh man, tell me about it - flash games are NOT my strong suit, I don't know if I have a single game-related avatar. No wait, I have Kass Basher! Well that's certainly something. I'd really love to see what neopets does with their efforts put into the flash conversion, and I hope what that quote says is true about putting effort into new games. It's great for them to keep a lot of stuff the same but I'd dearly love to see this site grow with its user base. I'm betting most of us are pushing or past 30 by now. And all of us just want to relax, you know? We've got so much going on that neopets shouldn't be ANOTHER stressful thing (hence why I was so distraught to learn that prices??? for everything??? have gone up SO much????? yikes). As for charity corner, I was excited to finally clear out my SDB but I don't think there's a ton of worthwhile prizes. I'm aiming for the stamp and I think that's it, really

Some poor soul on Reddit has just lost a 30 million neopoint item to the Kiko Lake Bandits... Disclaimer: Not me!

According to JN: "This item was awarded to the 1st place and 3rd place winners of each of the three Style Showdown themes in 2010." So there were literally nine of them in existence on the entire site in 2010. Since then some members may have left the site or been frozen and not have access to that item. The SW, TP and AH will only show items if it is currently being sold. If you want to find one you will need to post a lot on boards and possibly Reddit, but you are going to be looking at 70 million as a minimum for that kind of rarity of item!!
