hayliebear Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 For everyone who hasn't heard them, check out Tame Impala - especially the album Currents. It's an incredibly beautiful album focused on romantic loss and rebuilding after a breakup. Kev Parker's been rising into mainstream fame lately with Rihanna covering the song New Person, Same Old Mistakes. Her cover is fantastic as well. Quote
Zafie Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Currently I'm listening to the radio. The song that's on is called Free Fallin' by Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers Quote
brynchilla Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 It's always fun going through the music you were just starting to listen to. Well, here's what I've been listening to: 1. Closer (Walk Off the Earth) 2. Victorious (NateWantsToBattle) 3. Bad Things (machine Gun Kelly & Camila Cabello) 4. Castle On the Hill (Ed Sheeran) It feels so weird listening to music that was made in 2017 or 2016! Usually I'm listening to music that is older! Quote
s21r12 Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 Right now I'm listening to a rather sad album , but to me it's medicine. Lydia: This December, It's One More and I'm Free. Quote
Edwynn Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 I'm giving an album a gander. A song in a Steampunk Song collection caught my interest, so I'm going to see what the whole album is like. It's called "The Dolls of New Albion - A Steampunk Opera." Quote
firaplays Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 I've just discovered Little Mix (I know, I'm late to the party). I can't get enough of those girls, they're so talented! I think my favorite song from them is About the Boy. And Power is a bit of a guilty pleasure song for me XD Quote
tk421beth Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 I am in total LOVE with the music from Hamilton! I have not seen it (I do not live in New York), but LOVE that music! Is there are more Hamilton fans out there? rntracy1 1 Quote
juliakare Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Taylor Swift's Look What You Made Me Do - it's so different from her previous songs but I love love love it regardless. And her new album comes out Nov. 10 <3 Quote

I'm going to see it in London in February and I'm already stupidly excited about it XD Generally, I'm trying to get back into learning/speaking German, so I'm listening to aaaall the German pop music I can find at the moment Quote

I like listening to different country's music - be it Chinese, Korean, Japanese, or Spanish but haven't really researched any German songs! Also I'm learning French right now and I love love love Stromae. :) Quote

I'm all about top 40 pop because, according to many friends I have in the US, I'm "basic as heck" so apologies for my taste haha. I love anything by Mark Forster ("Au revoir", "Sowieso", "Flasch mich" and "Bauch und Kopf" are my faves), Adel Tawil (I think his most popular song is "Lieder" but I also love "Ist da jemand" and "Kartenhaus"), Bosse ("Schönste Zeit" and "Dein Hurra"), Revolverheld ("Ich lass für dich das Licht an" and "Das kann uns keiner nehmen") oh and "Traum" by Cro because I can't not mention the dude in the panda mask aaaand that's probably enough but I could go on for a while Quote
naime Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 I enjoy kpop at the moment, I like Red Velvet's song Red Flavor, it's super catchy! musicislife 1 Quote

If I ever hear a message I left on someone's phone or something like that then I always get freaked out at how my voice sounds... it sounds nothing like how I hear it! I hate how my phone voice sounds, but one day I called my friend to find his phone and when he answered, I thought it was a different person. So don't feel bad if your phone voice sounds bad, it's completely different IRL. Quote
Mouseykins Posted October 27, 2017 Posted October 27, 2017 My current obsessions are Nightwish - Endless Forms Most Beautiful and Amaranthe - Maximalism. Whenever we go on walks if it's not too windy and miserable out I'll have my phone in my pocket with music playing. My girls just love Nightwish and Amaranthe and ask for it by name when I want to know what to play for us on our walks. Everything off the Nightwish album is amazing, but I do have to say my favorites are Endless Forms Most Beautiful, Elan, and Edema Ruh. From Amaranthe it's Maximize by far, followed by Endlessly. The vocal range of Elyze in Endlessly is amazing. I have also just discovered Arch Enemy - The Eagle Flies Alone, thanks to my daughter and youtube. My husband bought the CD and I've uploaded it to my iMac but haven't had a chance to fully listen to it yet. Probably take it with us when we head into the city on Saturday. Quote
eloralestrange Posted October 27, 2017 Posted October 27, 2017 Halloween music . Although a song literally just started playing called "The Giving Tree", and it reminded me of Neopets. Quote
Naamah D. Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 "All of Nothing" by The Birthday Massacre. It's putting me in the mood to write. Quote
TheNeonHyena Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 The click of the wheel of monotony in the background so I'll know when the darn thing has stopped... but also I'm on an Electro Swing kick right now and am listening to Carola Jasmins at the moment. Quote
Zafie Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 "Dancing Through the Wreckage" by Pat Benatar. Its currently playing on the Sirius XM satellite radio :3 Quote
burntpastryies Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 I'm listening to F.r.i.e.n.d.s on TV while restoring my new phone. Very eventful evening over here lol. Quote
mysteryfuzz Posted November 15, 2017 Posted November 15, 2017 Taylor Swift's new album and I am in loooooooooooove with it!!!! Quote
musicislife Posted November 26, 2017 Posted November 26, 2017 BTS – MIC Drop (feat. Desiigner) [Steve Aoki Remix] I'm totally jamming to this remix, even though I honestly prefer the original juuuust a bit more. Quote

Spring Day and Not Today are my absolute favorites, they are on such a role with their releases. I'm not really a Steve Aoki fan but the remix was pretty good At the moment I'm listening to Seo In-guk (specifically Seasons of the Heart) musicislife 1 Quote
Sciurus carolinensis Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 I have strange music tastes. I also am clueless about different genres, since I usually find my favorite song's by chance - either on a YouTube video or from riding in a car with my sisters choosing the music. Once I find a good song, I listen to it over and over until I usually get tired of it. The best songs are those that pass "the test" and don't get boring. The last new song I listened to that I really liked was Angel Down by Lady Gaga. It is still "being tested." My favorite song is "World of Stone" from the album The Village Lanterne by Blackmore's Night. Somewhere around second might be "Dead Boy's Poem" from Nightwish's Wishmaster. They usually play on youtube through our TV's Blu-Ray player when my 6 year old daughter is on her Within Temptation & Nightwish kick. I'm usually doing housework, cooking, or working on my computer and don't pay attention that much to what she has on unless it's something she shouldn't be listening to. It's actually because of her we discovered Nightwish had newer stuff out now and got interested more in Amaranthe. Her favourite Within Temptation song is Paradise (What About Us). EDIT: I've found a new obsession! Imperfection by Evanescence!!! Quote
Hana95 Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 I know this is probably mainstream but Logic's 1-800 song is my current favorite. It just makes me emotional and moves me in so many ways. Quote
