Hi, I'm Dawn,

I became a Customization staff member on March 31, 2012, and am currently head of the department as well as head of our new Items Database. I also run our ALP pet chains as well as sharing the majority of Content for the main site.

I'm currently a stay at home mum and working towards my high school diploma. Life has thrown its fair share of curve balls at me over the years, but I'm slowly getting there. I've finished all but one Accounting course, but I'm taking a break for now. This last course was a bit of a headache as it needs to be rewritten. Eventually, I want to redo my English but I'm going to wait until I have everything else completed and then tackle that one. I'm slowly getting things done!

I've read almost all of The House of Night series by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast. It was amazing and I could not put the books down. I think I have all the new ones from where I left off, just need to find the time. I think my favourite one right now is Lenobia's Vow, one of the companion novella's. It was a truly amazing story and I was sad when I finished the book. I wanted to read more about Lenobia before she came to the Tulsa House of Night. Have to try and finish the series soon! Currently, I'm working on Kalona's Fall and it's an interesting read, but not as addictive as the others have been. Probably just me and my lack of time to read.

My favourite author is Tamora Pierce! I am currently working on obtaining all the books she's written so far. I'm slowly getting there, one book at a time. After over a year, I finally finished Battle Magic and it left me speechless.

Eventually, I plan on teaching myself how to draw so we'll see how that goes. So far I'm doing not too bad with my drawing. It's not perfect but I'm getting there. I even splurged and bought proper pencils and a sketchbook. I also want to learn how to play the piano, but that is a slow process at the moment. I need to practice more if I want to play some of my favourite piano pieces.

Above I mentioned that I'm a stay at home mum. I have three girls and they are my world! My oldest is 8 and is in Grade 3, my middle monster is 5 and starting Kindergarten this fall. My youngest is almost 2! To add to my already busy life, we made the difficult decision to homeschool our oldest. Our small-town school just wasn't working out for her. This year, however our oldest is going back to public school part-time. I'll be teaching her Math and Language Arts at home as these are the subjects where she still requires the one-on-one attention.

Recently we brought a new member into our family. He's now a 4-month old Great Pyrenees and quite the little ankle biter. Kai has been a delight to our family after the loss of our special beloved Mouse passed away.
