A "grey screen", usually, means Flash is not enabled for Neopets, within your browser. Which browser are you using (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari, etc)?

Sadly this will be another one for the list.. We will be postoning GMC to next year. We have had a lot of new things to juggle this year with working on mobile, neopets x and trying to fix and reinvent elements of the site along the way. We apologise for this delay but we want to give it our 100% instead of overlapping events. As for Daily dare, that passed already silly, that was back in July.

Personally, it's "bittersweet", for me. On one hand, I always look forward to Daily Dare and GMC. GMC is fun, challenging, frustrating, and sometimes stressful. But, I like getting trophies and prizes. And always have fun picking a side. On the other hand, it usually happens during US Thanksgiving time, and I've almost missed a day, due to cooking, traveling, or celebrating with friends. So, I guess I won't have to worry about it, this year.

Now, if they postpone the Advent Calendar, me an TNT are going to have words! Well, you know, like "pretty please don't postpone", and "throws a plate of brownies", and stuff like that.

I'm with "y'all". 9 rounds is a long time to be without a win. However, it won't surprise me if The Sway wins. Thieves it is! *gets in line, behind @jellysundae, to sign up*

I know uBlock Origin is a "favorite". However, I have heard of issues of ads not being blocked, with it and Chrome. Also, "StackPath" was causing issues for everyone, myself included, about two weeks ago, when individuals were receiving the "security measures" messages. I was receiving the "black screen, with three, red dots", but it wasn't going away, after a few seconds. I believe Neopets had to do something on their end, as they posted this on 23 October:

After I cleared my browser's cache (Firefox), I still saw the black screen/3 red dots, but they only lasted a few seconds and the Flash games loaded. It sounds like that "problem" may be back, as I still see posts on the "Help" and "Games" Neoboard. Could email [email protected] to see if they can assist or are aware. (Might be the best option, for now).

I have, also, heard of anti-virus/anti-malware programs blocking Flash, sometimes via a browser plugin/extension, (McAfee was one), so you could check that, too. And, it is possible, if you use many, for another installed plugin/extension to cause issues, too. You could try disabling them all, or one at a time, and see if the games load.

Are you using the latest version of Chrome (78.0.3904.87)? Is the "built-in" Flash for Chrome up-to-date (32.0.0.270)?

Not sure about uBlock Origin, but, are you able to update the filter lists? I know you can, with ABP. Sometimes, I have issues when the filters haven't been updated. Manually updating them, usually gets everything back to "normal".

As a test, and only as a test, you could try disabling uBlock Origin and installing ABP. If games load, you could uninstall ABP, and re-enable uBlock Origin. Once re-enabled, you may need to "play around" with uBlock Origin's settings. If you don't wish to try, I understand. Playwire is the ad provider Neopets is using. I have heard of others "allowing" Playwire, via their ad block plugin, and the games loading, after the ad plays, or trying to skip through the ad, or blocking it, altogether. The former doesn't make sense to me, as it seems the ad(s) are the issue, from keeping the game from loading. However, if that works, then, by all means, go for it.

You could always try another browser, too.

Are you using an ad blocker extension with Chrome? If not, try using one. The "black screen, with 3 red, cycling dots" is where an ad is supposed to play, before the Flash game loads, but for some unknown reason, doesn't. An ad blocker should block the "bad" ad, and take you straight to the Flash game loading screen. The ads are not Flash based, but HTML5. However, not all ad blockers may block the ad, so you may have to try a few. I use Ad Block Plus, and have no issues. I understand ad blockers are like browsers - everyone has their preferences. I'm not trying to get anyone to use ABP, but if none are working, just try it, and see if the games load. Even with an ad blocker, you may see the "black screen, with 3 red, cycling dots" for a few seconds, and then the Flash game loading. Since Neopets has been using StackPath, for "security measures", I believe that has something to do with it. Also, clearing Chrome's cache may help, too. Hope this helps.

I don't know why, but I never open them. Ever. I think I like the look of the bags, more than the items inside. Some of them would be neat to get, if they were real. Could you just image?! Anyhow, like @Robin Hood, off to the SDB they go!

Legends & Letters has been updated to version 1.11.0. With the update, you CAN, now, link your Neopets account to it. There is, also, a new feature, "Challenge of Challengs":

It seems you may be able to get new "badges", and, possibly, an avatar, but I cannot confirm, at this time. (When I logged in, today, there was a "pop-up" for the new challenges, and badges and avatars were mentioned.)

WARNING: It seems Neopets.com accounts that are more than 18 characters long, are getting the characters, starting with the 19th one, cut off, and aren't receiving the prizes on Neopets. If that has happened to you, the suggestion is to open a support ticket by emailing [email protected].

So far, I haven't completed or received any of the "new" challenges. I still had two "old" daily quests to complete, which I did, today, but guess I'll find out in 11 hours. Concerned that I may not get the "grand challenge", for this weekend.

Anyhow, I'm a bit more excited about this app! I was playing, and there have been changes made, but I wasn't "fully" into it.

I really like the outfit! Too bad the black wings don't cover all of the Eyrie wings, but it still looks good. Great option, for Eyries, for Halloween. For me, Relic, is a nice concept, but is like Custard - meh. The Wraith is another good option, for Eyries, for Halloween. Definitely on the spooky side! The "ears" look like horns. Happy Eyrie Day, for all Eyrie fans!

Good thing the stockings aren't this color, otherwise, your Eyrie may have to watch out for flying houses:

I saw a post on the "Help" Neoboard. It seems to be an issue, but not happening to everyone. The NC Mall is Adobe Flash based, so make sure Flash is enabled for the NC Mall. Someone posted that using "Incognito" mode, with Chrome, has worked. Could try "New Private Window", if using Firefox. Also, in today's (13 September 2019) Neopian Times, there is this:

Again, during this past week, individuals were having hard times posting Flash game scores, due to a "gateway" error messages, which was, also, seen on the "Help" Neoboards. TNT seems to have worked/fixed that issue. But, it could be related.

It seems Neopets is looking into using a "CDN" - Content Delivery Network - specifically, StackPath. A popular/recognized CDN is CloudFlare. It should make Neopets "faster", and, hopefully, allow them to go "https" (finally!). It seems TNT is still working out the process/bugs, with redirecting content.

Went with the Seekers. You never know. It's anyone's game, at this point.

Yep. It's deliberate. Part of Firefox's "road map", for depreciating Flash. New, for Firefox, version 69. I do miss the "Always Activate", though.

Have they checked their email's "spam" or "junk" folders? It's possible the verification messages may have been sent there.

You can try clearing your browser's cache (temporary Internet files), but it may not help. Heard rebooting was what some other Neopians did.
