Instead of showing what it usually does, it now shows up as a close up of the Meteor and it says "The meteor has gotten very very hot. Careful, you might get burned." or it will show up with an angry Grundo Scientist and say "An angry Grundo Scientist is shouting madly. RUN!" But I rarely bother to click it anymore since I can't remember the last time I got anything worth keeping--and rarely anything at all. Today I got the usual "maybe it was just a dream..." Has anyone ever won anything good with this?

But I haven't been able to approach it since yesterday morning- which is a longer wait than usual.I think it could just be a side effect of the maintenance to the site.

It's either "very hot" or I am chased away by a mad scientist Grundo. I also feel like it has been about 2 weeks for me (but that would be after you posted ... I was able to inspect a meteor after this thread first appeared)! I remember seeing this thread when it first appeared and getting to inspect a meteor for at least a few days .. and had never seen the very hot thing before myself. Then after a while I really had been turned away (very hot or Grundo scientist) and I'm wondering what the cause is? I've used another computer and made sure my cookies and cache were clear and that's not affecting it. I haven't played Neopets since Friday (today is Tuesday) and the break didn't help either. The prizes were indeed crummy and few and far between (actually, I don't think I ever got anything worth my while), but I really wonder what is going on and if other people have had the same experience.

I'm really hopeful but I feel like they would've added something more players would see as a hint, seeing as no one seems to use the meteor? I don't know, I sure do, but it hasn't been working for me either so I gave up. Maybe it's going to work only for a limited time each day, Snowager-style, and give better prizes? I'm thinking stuff like Neocola Machine tokens and Nerkmids?

Scoobert_Doo Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 I think it is "glitched" or broke. I believe it stopped working around the time of "The Big Lag". JS did some maintenance and after that, it stopped working, just like the Altador daily prize did. Altador stopped giving prizes during the transition from Nickleodeon to JS. It eventually got fixed, but then stopped working, again, after some maintenance was done, when they were trying to fix the lag issues. I don't believe either are a "high priority" to get fixed, at this time. I believe they will get fixed, eventually, though.
