Ooh, I love the color and the clothes! Good day for Flotsams! That stealthy is really awesome.

I think I misunderstood, I thought you were supposed to pick from the players you picked, so why would anyone pick her when she had low stats in the beginning?
That's the big question, isn't it. Doesn't make any sense why TNT would choose her as star player when (I'm assuming) hardly anyone put her on their team, because her scores were so bad.

Welp, here's my final results:
I'm really disappointed that Senor Malo wasn't picked. That, AND I missed out on Binary_supagoo's bobblehead, the only staff member on Team Darigan /: I hope the prize shop is worthwhile.

you sure, you can't pick which item you get. It's a bit of a risk.
@Angeló It is a risk, although I usually have pretty good luck swapping items on the NCC if I didn't get what I wanted. If you have gift boxes (and you should, from Trudy) then you can usually go on the boards and ask if anyone wants to do a Wonderclaw swap with you. Usually people are willing to do it for an item of the same tier.

DONE!!! I reached double All Star, and then a little bit more since I wanted to even out my numbers.

I've reached my goal of rank 10 yesterday. My previous best was rank 1 so this is a HUGE improvement for me. Maybe next year I'll take some time of from work and try All Star lol. Still playing a little when I have time but if I don't get the next rank, it's fine.
That's awesome, congrats! It's so satisfying to beat your rank from the previous year. Although I really wish I could share your 'come what may' attitude for these last few days.

I've been going really strong all cup long, but finally, after 21 days of playing, I am officially tired of yyb. I just reached rank 29. One more to go.
Anyone else pushing through to reach some last-minute goals?

I would think timing might play a factor. If 2 Yooyuball scores are posted within 3 minutes of each other, something fishy is happening, since a game lasts over 3 minutes. I would assume most cheaters are too smart for that. But if every score is posted exactly 4 minutes 15 seconds apart... that sort of accuracy doesn't happen. If every game is 11-2, 10-1, or 8-0 with no other scores... red flag. At least, that's what I suspect.
As for high scores, I got a 13-0, but don't know what's possible. I know I can score a goal at 2:58, but I think the timer runs a little while things reset, so likely need a minimum of 5 seconds per goal, if you do everything perfect. That would makes for 35-0 possible in theory, but I suspect the AI gets a little more aggressive when there's a strong lead.Every time you get a new yooyu (regardless of whether you scored, your opponent scored, or a clockwork yooyu blows up without anyone scoring), 8 seconds is removed from the timer, so it takes a minimum of 10 seconds for each goal. The maximum possible score would be 18-0, which is the highest I've ever heard of anyone scoring. Theoretically, it may be possible to squeeze in one last goal if you had a truly miraculous combination of powerups, but I've never heard of that actually happening.
I would definitely agree that the timing is what's probably looked at in terms of cheating. If the games are happening too close together, that would indicate to me that someone might be playing multiple games at once. That would be a bigger indicator than the actual scores, imo.
As for me personally, I usually score somewhere from 9-12 goals per game. My average at the moment is 10.1, and my best-ever score is 14-1. Strategy-wise, I play right to left using a 1x3 formation. Immediately when the game starts, I rush forward to steal the ball, charge up, and shoot just slightly down from center to the goalie's right side. I can usually score 3-4 times in a row that way before the other team starts getting more aggressive and manages to steal the ball from me.

Oh but!!! You didn't sell at 77?! You've come such a long way!
I am greedy
I just sold half at 83...holding on to the other half to see what happens.
EDIT: And now, three minutes later, it's up to 87. I'm selling the rest before it drops x.x

Did you wait?
I did wait, and now I'm debating waiting more...... this is a slippery slope! Dx

@DragonPhoenix I feel that! I was in the same boat, hoping to make double AS and then thinking it wouldn't be possible with one less day. Except I never made my peace with it, lol. I'm set to just barely scrape by with enough points by the end of the tournament, but I'm going for it!

NOOOOOOOOOO go back up!!!!!!!!!! It's at 73 right now. I ended up closing my stocks tab yesterday because they were dropping farther and farther. I should've known better!
EDIT: @jellysundae Do I go for it or wait?????

I'm keeping my team the same this round as well. I'm pretty pleased with how they all performed this week. I'm only one off of the 'highest scoring team', and that's because I absolutely refuse to use Scrappy. She could win 10k points for all I care, she is not welcome on my team.
For star player, I'm sticking with Senor Malo. He's always been my favorite TNT ACer, and I'm really hoping he'll win this last round! (But who knows, since we still have NO idea what the criteria are.)

BUZZ is now at 62, SKBD at 65, and TAG a measly 56. I'll be keeping my portfolio open today so I can keep an eye on these guys!

Yeah, when I saw it for sosd I figured the bonus days are programmed in ahead of time.
Which indicates that today was originally meant to be a tournament day, right???
Sorry, it's going to be a while before I stop feeling salty about this.

And these 2 camps - that second one in particular! - both stem from the "creating facts out of thin air" Neoboards skill?
Yes, the absolutely do! Board 7 is particularly good at that skill.
My money is on an extension as well, at least out of those two options. But I wouldn't be entirely surprised if TNT just screwed us out of one of our playing days.
-
@jellysundae I was riled up enough this morning to venture over there and take a peek, and people are surprisingly calm? There seem to be two camps: (1) we will be given an extra day at the end to make up for today, and (2) FL is going to be removed from the final bracket because of the cheaters, and so only four days of play will be needed to complete the bracket [although this completely discounts the lower two brackets, who would still need five days to play all the way through...]
-
@midnight_spell360 Well, according to the apparently untrustworthy rules page, the last day of play is June 29th. So starting from tomorrow, it would be four days.
But like I said, I'm expecting (probably in vain) that they'll add an extra day to the tournament, and it will continue through the 30th.
-
This fills me with wrath, tbqh. The rules say "the third practice break of 2 days will be at the end of Round 1." Why would they change it??? Without telling us in advance???
There go my hopes of making double All Star, unless they tack an extra day on at the end.

SuAP Acquired and Collateral Question
in Avatar Lending Program News
Posted
I think it makes the most sense to ask for full collateral (or as much as you can get, given the auction limit). Lower collateral may mean that more people are eligible to borrow, but if the item gets lost and you don't have enough collateral to replace it, then no one gets to borrow. I was a frequent borrower from the ALP until I got all of the avatars, and I never felt like your requirements were unreasonable. You're still doing people a huge favor by lending to them, even if you ask full collateral. And, if they don't like the requirements, they can look for a lend elsewhere.
As for the account age suggestion, I agree with Kute. Personally, I don't think account age is that reliable of an indicator of someone's trustworthiness. And even if the person is trustworthy by any metric, accidents still happen. You never know if the item is going to be lost through a RE, get stuck in the TP, etc. So by all means, do everything you can to avoid losing the item. But I would also plan a contingency just in case.
Whatever you decide, I'm glad you were able to replace your SuAP and all the other items. The ALP is a great resource, and the TDN community is very lucky to benefit from it.
