But I don't suppose it is possible to move a pet when it's the only pet on the account, is it, that would create some kind of vacuum that would cause the site to implode.

You can absolutely have an account without a pet! I played on my current account for years before finally caving and making one

  2. I'm losing my mind over this. I don't understand why they're delaying signups, and if they're not open yet, then when will they be? Monday is a holiday in the US, so now it'll be Tuesday at the earliest, which is the 29th. Are they delaying the whole cup? Is this because they couldn't get it up in time or because they're changing something? I'm so stressed ;.;

  3. I love the FEA and I try my best to do all five jobs every day! I can easily make 20k profit (without a job coupon), and it takes a grand total of about 10 minutes.

Being a premium user, I would never buy anything that isn't priced at SSW prices. But that's because it's quick and easy for me to find the cheapest items. I think a FEA-themed shop could be very useful to people who don't have ssw, especially if you keep enough stocked so that the person can buy all the items they need from just one shop. (Even using ssw, I get annoyed when I have to open five different shops to get all the items.)

The tricky parts would be figuring out what items to stock (are they all within a certain rarity? there HAS to be some pattern to it, but idk what it is) and then keeping enough in stock. You have to remember that a single person might buy up to 6 of the item, and multiple people would be doing that every day. You'd probably want to keep 20+ of each item on hand, and at that rate would still probably have to restock every single day. So it depends a lot on how much time you have and how much effort you want to put into it. But I do think it could be profitable!

  4. I usually follow the oxbridge predictions, since I win more often that way than by randomly guessing. But this week I went with Thieves. I think they'll be popular this round because it's been a while since they won/were available, and I like their boons best.

Although now the stock and bank boons are pretty much moot after CC...I wonder if that will affect their popularity now?

  5. I don't think I would buy this perk even if I had leftover points. Personally, I think I'd be a little uncomfortable having my account/pet advertised to everyone in Neopia. I also think it's weird/interesting that they changed the perk to last only one day instead of a week like it originally said.

You're right though, I probably couldn't have come up with anything better.

  6. Yeah this one surprisingly wasn't so bad. My hs was only ~150, but I played a few games on my laptop and quickly scored 450. Once I got to work and had a mouse, I got it on my second try.

I second @Duma though, I have NO IDEA how you're supposed to use that code. I managed to type it once, but then promptly died, so it was useless.

People who hadn't blocked it say there were only 3 people on it on the 3rd day or something, and there's nothing there now.

I noticed that too, but it's back up in the sidebar and there are six new people today. Although when you click on the "more" link, page 4 is empty and unclickable. -shrug- I'm not bothered by it. I wish it were below the neofriends list instead of above, but oh well.

I had that same problem. That's when I started leaving some coins and just went for the end fruit. It gave me enough to unlock but i have no clue how it works.

I tried that too and it still didn't work, but I did manage to unlock the levels eventually! From the same board that @Nielo quoted from, I learned that you can re-use the cheat codes after every time you 'continue game.' So I would use the nomorerocks and freetime ones to complete a level, go hurl myself (I mean...my character :P ) off a cliff to use up my lives, continue game, and use the cheat codes again on the next level to help unlock it. It was kind of tedious, but it worked. Good riddance.

  9. Can anyone explain exactly how the trophy levels are determined? I've been having the hardest time unlocking levels three and now four because it's only giving me bronze on the previous level. I've collected all the treasure and done it all as fast as I possibly can, but it doesn't seem to be enough?

I have a Paypal account, but I've not used it in years, it has about £1.50 in it xD. I'd have to transfer money into it to be able to use it for Neo so it's more faff than I'm willing to bother with, lol.

For future reference (assuming it works the same in UK as in US) you can link Paypal directly to a debit/credit card or checking account! So you don't have to transfer to Paypal and then pay, it all just goes automatically ^^ I've done this for years and never had any problems with security or anything like that. Highly recommend it!

Man, I should not have gone for a gold trophy this year, I won't get it now anyway....

You'll still get gold as long as you beat AAA by the end of the event! Finishing day-of doesn't matter for your trophy, only who you challenge each day.

Are you playing on Medium? When I play this game it's always on Hard, but for this kind of thing Medium is SO much easier!

I did it on easy! It took 20 minutes, but was way...well, easier xD

  12. I've had that happen once before. And it wasn't a bank robot, it was a bank person. I think it must have been because I bought NC several times on the same day, so it may have looked like the site was charging me multiple times for one transaction. I have to admit, I was a little embarrassed admitting that I'd spent all that money on neopets.com.... ?

Since then, I've started using Paypal for all my Neopets purchases. It's a lot simpler anyway, and the bank trusts Paypal a lot more. But idk if you can use it in the UK...?

  13. Welcome to the forums! You may be interested in reading these two threads about the same topic:

tbh I wouldn't play Neopets without premium, mainly because of the ads and ssw. I'm currently on an annual subscription. Once a year there's a sale where you can get it a little bit cheaper than normal, so I wait for that to roll around and then renew.

  14. Does anyone have tips for this game? I'm trying to get the avatar and failing spectacularly. I can hardly score over 100 at the best of times.

JN has a gif guide that should in theory be useful, but it moves way too fast to follow along as you play and there are too many moves to really memorize in advance. Not to mention there's no way to pause the game, even between levels. And apparently TDN doesn't have a guide for this game at all...? That seemed weird to me, but it's not in the games list.

Anyway, any tips would be appreciated. Or if you know of some other guide, on a petpage or something, that has still images with arrows and/or written instructions, that would be awesome.

Try to save the hourglasses that give extra time for when you need them or when there are more than enough. If you do have a dynamite, clear out the other colors first so you have a big combo. If you have a multiplier, bring that up to your dynamite to get lots of points. I believe that blocks with powerup don't get destroyed when you clear a dynamite block, but can't remember (and I'm not about to go and play it again to check it).

In the later levels I didn't bother making big combo's anymore, I just tried to make as much squares as I could even if most of them were 2x2. I'm not really good at this game, so people that are good at it might have better tips.

This is exactly what I did. I saved my hourglasses for then when I really (!!!) needed them, and thankfully had accumulated quite a few by then. I definitely tried to pair the dynamite with multipliers (even more than one, if possible!), which made a HUGE difference, although sometimes I accidentally cleared a combo before getting the correct blocks in place. And once the time started running out I just made combos like crazy. I was already looking for a new one while clicking the current one so that I didn't fall behind.

And you're right that dynamite doesn't clear powerup blocks (dynamite, multiplier, locked squares) unless they are actually part of the combo that you form. That was annoying--although sometimes nice that you didn't lose all your dynamites in one go!

  16. Yay, I did it! I played on easy and it was kind of a long game (20 minutes!), but I finished with 6416. Good thing too, because a friend of mine had already sent me a challenge request and completed her score, so I didn't want to let her down! I didn't quite improve my hs, but with the pattern that @jellysundae pointed out, I think I may eventually get the avatar score!

  17. @Duma  Those pictures are really helpful, thank you! They should come in handy next time I have to play this game (I feel it's inevitable....). So there were a few times in my games when I jumped on top of the big tree, like you showed in your last screenshot, but that would end my game. Did I just have the timing wrong? I was getting the impression that you have to jump OVER trees, and can't jump ON TOP of them.
