I agree wholeheartedly about overfeeders. It's so frustrating. I can't see how it's fun because to me it's frustrating. Please let us have a chance overfeeders, pretty please. :)

I try (really hard) not to feel this way, but I do.
Like, I know it must be really fun for them, and the reason why they play neopets, and I totally back that...
 
But I just can't imagine taking it away from people.
Like, for example, games which I have a gold trophy for - I don't play for anything over the 1,000 for now.
Because I like to think that that gives other people a chance to participate, and that's awesome, so I can't understand why people still kad.
 
(I'm sorry over feeders, it's not like I think you're bad people, and you're normally really nice and chatty and run the boards and run guides, which is really nice...)
 
 
Anyway, neopets taking away Random Contest is currently my most frustrating aspect.

I've also kept my bags (from my main) in my SDB.
I don't think I've ever opened a bag, I have bags from every event that gave out bags just living in my SDB, just waiting to one day be sold.

This whole thread made me tear up a little.
That whole 'you have no sense of humour, you're fridgid, you need to lighten up and not take everything so seriously' is exactly what's bothered me my whole life. Even putting the feminism aside for a second, I used to get teased in junior school for being passionate about things. I could stand there and explain exactly what was wrong with the Australian political system and the others would just laugh at me for getting too worked up, telling me to take a chill pill. There are some things in this world that one has a right to get worked up about.
 
I'm not sure what the language policy is on here, but I'll do my best to keep it clean. Apologies if I get it wrong.
 
When I was fifteen, I was coming home from school one day and passed a couple of guys. I hated my school skirt. It was super ugly anyway and I had to get a size above what was comfortable around my waist to fit over my hips. I've always been a skinny sort of kid. Anyway, one of them turned to the other and said, "Holy f***!"
"What?"
"She's a virgin!"
Then they descended into raucus laughter as though that was the most hilarious and shocking thing they'd ever seen. At the time I thought that level of stupidity was kind of funny, but one of the most important things to me is cimple, common curtesy and I simply do not understand how one could think it appropriate to speak like that about a complete stranger. What makes it funnier, is that I was crossing a pedestrian crossing only a few days later in my regular clothes with a little modest makeup and someone wolf-whistled from his car. Remember, I was 15. I've had many incidents of verbal abuse throughout the years and random men trying to hit on me after I made it perfectly clear I wasn't interested.
 
Someday I look forward to living in a world where there are no double standards. I smile at people in the street, regardless of gender. It does not mean I am hitting on you. People need to step back a little, treat others with respect, and be a little more aware of their surroundings.

I'm not quite old enough to have had experiences like this, but I'm getting close to that age and it's a little scary. I know I could most likely defend myself if physically assaulted - I have the knowledge and skills to do so - but it would most likely do emotional damage, and that I could not deal with.
 
I'm sick of seeing women objectified, scared to go out for fear of assault, being taught that "boys will be boys" and that you must try not to get raped, instead of teaching boys to not rape women, and that a short skirt or otherwise "revealing" clothing is "asking for it" and it's the girl's fault for being attractive. I'm sick of seeing guys complain about how a girl "friendzoned" him after he was nice to her or complimented her, and how they feel as if they're entitled to the girl for doing something so simple as holding the door for her or saying she had nice hair. I'm sick of the advertisements that depict how women are "supposed" to look, with hourglass figures, extremely long legs, flawless skin, long slender arms, a full bust and hips, and an overall over-sexualized pose. I'm sick of men treating women like they're simply fanciful things for them to play with and treat as they please, and not have a care if they break them.
 
I'm sick of this patriarchal society as a whole, and I feel it needs changing.

I don't know if other people do this, but my gallery theme is earthy things. It started out as mushrooms and toadstools, but now I have woodland things, earth faerie things, and gnomes.

Well, more like 1 year, I've been playing it three times every day I've been on (so maybe... 5 days a week?)
 
I followed the TDN guide
and used Quadruple Fudge Cheese (1800 NP) and Dive Left at every move.
 
I was determined to get an avatar today!
Tried playing cell block, I've been NQing all day & even trying to buy a rare food from the chocolate shop.
So glad that it finally paid off!
 
Anyway, I just hit 285 avatars!
That was my most recent goal, I guess I'm now aiming for 290.

I finally got through jungle ruins on NQ (it took SO LONG) so I'm feeling pretty good about that, I've only got a little bit further to go before the avatar & then finished.
Once I've got the avatar, I'll have hit my personal goal of 285!
 
I'm also considering restarting Plushie Tycoon this month, seeing how I was glitched out of last month, but it's so much effort for a game that hate you ):

Well, Sandrea, my Aisha was my "first born" so to speak, and Casura was my second, so naturally, they are my pride and joy on Neo. Casura is mainly the one "looking pretty" as my dream pet was a Faerie Ixi. Sandrea is a jack of all trades, and my first pick for everything. Sandrea has the highest stats, making her the sole major battle pet (unless I wish to lose a battle quickly for a plot achievement or something), she also has the highest intelligence, the highest fishing skill, the most faerie abilities, and the most desirable resume in the Faerie Employment office. Naturally, nearly every outside story I get inspired to write is about Sandrea in particular.
 
Casura has the second highest fishing skill and intelligence, but the weakest stats. She's not really a fighter, and she's only done a couple of jobs at the Faerie Employment office, but I believe Casura to be the most easy on the eyes out of all of my pets, however, Casura's petpets are the main ones that get zapped with the petpet lab ray before heading back into Grave Danger.
 
Alu was adopted from the pound and is considered to be the "break-even" of the pets. Alu has higher stats than Casura, but somewhat less intelligence, faerie abilities, and job experience. Alu is formally my lab rat, as when she turned into a female Xweetok, I decided to stop and keep her that way. In a sense, Alu is still a "lab rat" because Alu is always the active one when I do anything regarding the Coincidence. If Sandrea were to lose any battle stats, I would seriously flip tables. Under no circumstance is Sandrea to lose any stats, so it's a toss-up between Alu and Casura, mostly being Alu as far as that goes.
 
Alu also is the "break-even" when it comes to other areas of chance. For example, the wheels, apple bobbing, and the Expellibox... those places offer a chance to where hit points could be lost or illnesses can be had. Alu is usually the one on the line for this as well because it's a point of keeping Sandrea as healthy as possible in order for her to do her battles in the BD. Usually, Alu is fine during these events, but should she get sick, she gets cured as soon as possible. I just avoid Sandrea from it because I have a bad habit of forgetting to make sure she doesn't get sick as my most likely active pet from day to day. Nonetheless, I dislike it greatly if any of my pets are hurt, sick, hungry, or anything less than delighted.
 
Look at it like this. Casura would be a district office manager of a corporation, whereas Alu would be the office President, but Sandrea would be the Executive CEO and absolute boss of the corporation. It's like that. :)

Yesterday I got the Super Attack Pea avatar. Today, I got a FFQ and painted a buzz baby for the avatar! I am so happy right now!

We, TDN ALP, decided prior to the server move that we didn't want any lends going on while the servers were down, so we halted lends prior to the move. Unfortunately, Neopets came back with a lot of glitches, including the item duping one, so we decided it wasn't safe to lend our items out (especially the expensive ones) when there was a risk of duping or other glitches (trading post and auctions both were not working shortly after the server move.) At this point, we're sorting through requests and working on starting lends back up :)

Sorry, guys, but this isn't the place to discuss the merits of cheating. Feel free to make a board for it but please refrain from posting here unless you have a question about the BGC

I agree with the commenters, pick things you like & won't mind having in the house.
 
My mother, being the wonderful woman she is, didn't buy sweets, she would only buy fruit, or seed mixes, that way she was delighted to have some left over /laughs.

I'll discard them, and stay off my side for the rest of halloween.
(or forever, and just hope that my pets don't die of starvation)
 
I'm worried to submit a ticket, because I know someone once submitted a ticket about a game glitching and them getting a highscore/avatar score...
And they froze them, even though they submitted the ticket, so I'm scared to draw attention to myself.
 
(I've never even had a warning! I'm so careful on neopets!)

I'm Jewish & some of my community are very orthodox, which means they don't touch the opposite gender. So, when with these people, I tend to just not touch any guys whatsoever (not even to shake hands!) just to make sure no one is embarrassed. (Like, my own friends who I know have decided not to do it, I do hug, but in general I try and be respectful)
 
The oddest thing though is that everyone is REALLY friendly, so to make up for it, ALL the guys hug each other and all the women hug each other. So it's like I get the extreme of both worlds in one go.
 
I'm also English/live in London, which is kinda' the opposite. People will barge into you, shake anyone's hand, but they HATE hugging/being affectionate, and really don't like it if strangers/people they just meet try to hug them.

That Wherfy looks pretty awful*, it's joints look all broken & you can see it's bone! Proper Halloween gore.
(and by awful, I mean awesome)

The Gallion looks pretty cool, I think it'd match most halloween pets.

From there, I updated my profile to recognise that and to set some more goals.

From my 10 years of neopets, I've learnt that you shouldn't rely on getting something through random drops, but just keep going every day and you'll be surprised.

I was thinking of this thread recently, as I'm writing the character for my Snow Xwee Liddioa & I'm gonna' have her live in Terror Mountain, and I realised just how cool it is that it has all those different levels.
How depending on where a neopet lives out of the three heights, says so much about their personality.
 
So yeah, Terror Mountain is definitely in my top 3, but it's still Mystery Island for me.
