Wildbreeze
I (regrettably) hardly did any battling this round. It's been an incredibly busy and stressful week. Ah well.. we'll get 'em next time. ;) I should have more time to battle next round, too.
caughtinadreamx
Wow, I really enjoyed the Order article! (Btw hello to all my fellow Order members!) I'm really glad I saw this board because I don't go looking for Neopedia articles all that much. I originally joined the Thieves Guild on the first battle, merely because I wanted to win, and the last group I expected to win did just that. Here's hoping we pointy hats can get it together and win this next time around!
Aquamentis12
Don't despair guys. We did what we could and so we did our best, taking real life and other things into perspective. ~_^ Perhaps we can win it next week. Good luck with the preperations for the next skirmish! We'll show 'em! ;)
Clumsy rockyroad1
The Order in in the choices again. I hope Sway doesn't win again. Choices are: Order, Sway, Seekers WAR BREAKS OUT IN 3 DAYS. (should be an exclamation point) Attention fellow Order members previously with the Sway and Seekers, do not leave us! Magic is definitely the best. Seekers again :(
erato_
Yay, Order! I do hope we get to win this time -_-" And I don't get why they put the sway back in and not give the awakened or the brutes a chance O_o
Cassine
I think the Order will win this time, because they were one of the first three teams we could join again. The Thieves (and the Sway) have already won, and the Seekers isn't one of the more popular teams. I also think (but I could easily be wrong) the TNT will arrange it so each of the six teams wins before having repeat winners.
kris10ly
Yay, Order! I do hope we get to win this time -_-" And I don't get why they put the sway back in and not give the awakened or the brutes a chance o_O I'm betting in this case it's deliberate, to undercut all the people who were making plans to try to rig the system by all joining the Brutes or Awakened this round - TNT also deleted the Obelisk board. We'll probably see them next round.
Spritzie
I'm definitely with the Order again. :D I think we stand a really great chance of winning this time around. I will have a lot more free time this weekend, so I plan to battle quite a bit more than I did last time.
silent_bard
Hello again order members! I refuse to leave our cause without winning an avatar and site theme for the order. Hopefully we win this time :D Although, I still need to upgrade my weapons set.
Spritzie
I feel the same way. Even if another faction might have a better chance of winning, I will be sticking with the Order, as long as they're an option, until we win. I'm ridiculously excited about the idea of an Order avatar and site theme.
voteforpedro333
If this was only a loyalty game, I'd probably go back to the Sway, but I've already got that avvie and theme. Plus I haven't quite finished my spying in the Order ;)
Wildbreeze
Sticking with the Order again, of course. :) I really think we can win it this time. I know I'll have more time for battling this round...
Spritzie
I have a really good feeling about this round. I think we're the strongest team, so I'm really hoping that come next week, we'll find we've won.
coltom
*Sigh* I'll throw in with y'all again, daughter will try again with the Seekers.
zorna
Here we go again I've been with the order since the beginning and I will fight till the very end. :medieval: silent_bard and Spritzie
Crystalline
Just splurged a pretty penny on a new BD weapon, which should make offing the leaders much easier this go around. Doesn't hurt that I've been keeping up with my training and have reached the next strength boost. :D Let's go Order!
Aquamentis12
ALRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT! Looks like there's a LOT of enthusiasm here! Naturally I'm sticking with The Order! :D I've been training too, so with a little luck, and the new boosts, I'll get more wins in on the faction leaders this time! Working on my HP now as I want to raise that up to get as much of an edge as I can on the faction leaders, in case my 1-shot combo fails. ;) It's great to see lots of returning members to The Order, especially those of us who have been with this faction from the beginning. I admire the dedication! We've been denied twice, let's make certain that we are NOT denied again! :D To BATTLE!!!!!! Huh? You mean the battle doesn't start for 52 hours and 41 minutes? Ok then..... To LUNCH! Or supper, or breakfast, wherever good times are had. LOL That last bit was from a commercial, not sure which at the moment. LOL Good luck fellow Order members! It's within our grasp, so let's do our best! :D Btw, it's amazing, we've lost twice, and yet our forum thread here at TDNForums is still the longest by almost double. I think that shows we've got real dedication among our members here! Great to be a part of it! :D Later! ~Xandria
Welp, hello again fellow Order members. (Sway from the beginning though) I have to admit I did not do much last round. :/ I did around 100 battles I think. This time I really will be stepping it up though! My pets not exactly the best, but definitley enough to plow through the first two rounds and the third If I decide to stop being so cheap and upgrade my healer. Best of luck everyone! :D Aquamentis12
siniri
Back to the Order. I predict victory. Let's all work hard to make sure it happens. I'll be aiming for 100 each; it'll be a struggle to do more, but I'll see what I can do. I figured out a system last time that let me get 10-15 battles in a row against the toughest guys before having to switch and heal, which made things go a lot faster. I hope I remember it! Koralis
I've decided to go with The Order this time around, so I'm excited to be fighting alongside all of you. Well, since we keep having to choose factions that are swapped in and out each time, the feeling of loyalty to any one faction has now disappeared for me. I have a good feeling about the Order winning this bout though and I haven't been wrong yet (*fingers crossed I didn't just jinx myself!*). I'll definitely be doing my part to help the Order win this battle and the avatar! I hope everyone else is feeling the same :)

I don't know if I'm really fond of the way they spun it or not. I think I would have preferred sticking with my team till the bitter end, but aw wells. I like that we have the opportunity to get so many avis/site themes but still... :/ There are a few Sway members that are going with the Sway, again... and I'm just like why? If you already have the avi, what's the appeal? Just the boons or are you really that loyal? Haha. I don't think I'm loyal enough to miss out on a potential avatar. ;) You're right though, not to get anyones hopes up unintentionally but I'm pretty sure the Order has it in the bag this time. :D
Spritzie
I wonder if maybe the Sway members that are going back to the Sway, just aren't avatar collectors, so they only care about their team. By this next round, I'll have hit the next strength and defense boosts, so I'm hoping that will help a bit. The faction leaders are still a struggle and the wave under them is a bit hit and miss, where their faerie ability usage can be the difference between winning and losing. But we totally have this one :D Aquamentis12

siniri
Ok I think I need some help if I'm going to defeat the leaders I didn't do very good last round, here are my stats level 46 attack 140 defence 30 agility 81 hit points 323 my weapons are Scarab Ring, Throwing Cutlass, Golden Compass, Thief Dagger, Downsize!, Oversized Maractite Rune Sword Ridiculously Heavy Battle Hammer and the Greater Healing Scroll. any advise Train to level 50 and get lens flare (if you can't afford it, Shhh is cheaper and will stop their use of abilities for one round, which is handy against a lens flare spammer; you can always upgrade to lens flare later). You're kind of in the middle of the long strength boost desert (60 away from the next boost), but it will change your attack multiplier from 3 to 4.5, which is a 50% increase. Your defense is only 5 away from the next, but it's a modest boost (1.25 to 1.5), and you can't train it because you're using a labbie. If you wanted to, you could train it with armoured neggs, but I'd rather recommend you get some of the 50% reflectors (which are fragile, except for the light-blocker lens) or full blockers (such as Hanso's Charisma Charm), or just stick to offense and outlast them. In the long term, I'd probably try to play catch-up to get your level to 1/2 your HP so you can more easily train strength and defense -- if you have access to Count Von Roo at a reasonable time, this can help, plus training as often as you can in the school. Other than that, try to match your weapons against your opponents' -- attack with what they can't as easily block, and only defend if you're likely to block more than you're giving up in attack icons (e.g., using your maractite rune sword attacks 3x the number of icons -- 11, I think? so 33 icons of attack -- while the scarab ring attacks with 6 x 3 = 18 but only defends with 6 x 1.25 = 7.5, or a total of 25.5 icons, which is worse than the sword -- this assumes you're attacked with all the ring's defensive icons for it to fully work, and that your opponent didn't block either weapon -- if the opponent can block most of the sword's weapons, the ring might be better). I'd probably suggest replacing your weakest attack (might be the scarab ring) with a freezer, if you can afford it (randomly firing freeze ray is 50% and should be cheaper than a 100% freezer). But prices haven't seemed to come down too much yet, so I'm not sure how much I recommend buying anything. Stock up on healing potions (as often as you can), too, since auto-heal is gone. Buy the top 4 (super healing to essence of apple), but use the weaker opponents to battle-heal as much as you can (I like to freeze them and then use Shhh + my healer + finish them off, so they can't damage me as I heal). Don't struggle too much; you shouldn't be spending 1000's of NPs on healing during these skirmishes because you can qualify battling the opponents at your current level. Save the NP's for training for the next skirmish, and you might be able to handle the next level of baddies sooner than you think. Aquamentis12
Welcome back to the old Order members and welcome to those joining us for the first time! I LIKE the positive attitude here! Let's keep it going! :D Siniri, that's REALLY good advice for Zorna. The 50% light reflector lens is the Expert Lens. I can list the other 50% fragile reflectors by heart if anyone needs the list. (i used to use them all the time, still do sometimes, in a pinch) ;) Also, I thought these guides from the Battlepedia might help. http://battlepedia.thedailyneopets.com/index.php/oneplayer/index/14/ This one is the challenger profiles of ALL the Obelisk War challengers, including faction leaders. Pick the one you're fighting against, and you can see what weapons and abilities they use. Thus, you can plan your set and/or strategy accordingly. ;) This other link is a guide for fighting each WAVE of the challengers. Suggested weapons for each wave are included. http://battlepedia.thedailyneopets.com/index.php/articles/viewarticle/obelisk-war-challenger-guide Be sure to check out the challenger profiles though for fine-tweaking your sets! And now that I think about it, I'll include 2 more links. 1st To the stat-boost list. Shows how many points you need to get to each boost (icon damage multiplier) http://battlepedia.thedailyneopets.com/index.php/articles/viewarticle/battle-strength-defense-boosts/ Lastly, This link to our Basic Battle Sets guide. It has some prices, from around the time of the war. So prices may have changed since, but they'll give you an idea as to what the average prices are. http://battlepedia.thedailyneopets.com/index.php/articles/viewarticle/basic-weapon-sets/ I hope these guides are useful! I figure since we have some rookie-battlers, they might be. siniri, silent_bard and ~Xandria
