It's a shame the OP didn't add a poll to this thread, it's always fun to see the wide age range on a forum. Interesting, and honestly rather saddening, to see that the players classing themselves as "mature" are in general reluctant to say their age. I started playing Neopets when I'd just turned 31, I'm 45 next month, if some person's going to judge me in a mean way about that...well, that's their problem not mine. :)

It is an app made primarily for phones/tablets. It's almost like candy crush or bejeweled (if you are familiar with those) but with ghouls. But from what I understand you are able to play on your computer using facebook. If you have a facebook maybe try searcing through there? =]

So you don't need to feed the item to your pet just have it in your inventory and view your lookup.

According to TDN, to get the avatar, you "View the pet lookup of your own Tuskaninny while having in your inventory a food whose name contains the word "spotted," such as a Lesser Spotted Fish." So, yes, an adopted Tuskaninny, is fine/will work, but instead of feeding your Tuskaninny an item with the word "spotted" in it, keep it in your inventory and, then, view your Tuskaninny's pet lookup. It should work, then.

I'm glad you asked this because I have a Tuskaninny on one of my sides, but I had forgotten about that spotted avatar for some reason. Now I know what to do and I can get the avatar on my side, then transfer her and get it on my main as well =)

Very strange, indeed. Now if only this glitch could happen in real life with my non-virtual pets!

I was told of a work around for the categorizing items issue - use Quick Categorize. I'm not a big fan of it, since it takes a ton of time longer (especially here on very, very spotty and slow DSL), but it does work, and they are "sticking" in their correct categories.
 
I noticed the ranking thing myself.
 
I took a peek at the page coding, and noticed something odd - the numbers in some of the forms hidden forms are not matching the rank numbers in the visible form region.

The rank numbers will change when you refresh the page, too.
 
I noticed something else laughably broken - the form fields are not always matching up to the correct item, and in some cases, the item ID is missing from them entirely.
 
What is broken on several pages is this:
There is an array that is generated on each page that matches the item to the form's list of ID's. For example, what should be on each page is a list that looks like this (very, very truncated - my gallery has 1065 items in it atm):
file_arr[1050]='plu_shy_blue_chia'; oii_arr[1050]=72878; file_arr[1051]='plu_disco_acara'; oii_arr[1051]=72923; file_arr[1052]='plu_blue_babaa'; oii_arr[1052]=73016; file_arr[1053]='plu_cloud_xweetok'; oii_arr[1053]=73017; file_arr[1054]='plu_pirate_lenny'; oii_arr[1054]=73145; These lists are not being generated on all pages, and on some pages it is being generated, but like my list above, its truncated and missing items. Because they are not, the massive amount of JavaScript that the gallery relies on cannot do its job - in the case of ranking, the numbers get mixed up because they do not match, or are missing.
 
In the case of categorizing on all but the Quick categorize (Ha. Hahaha. The slow categorize page...) the process form page they use cannot do anything because that array is not there, at all.
 
My hope is that someone at TNT has been attempting to fix the gallery issues that have been affecting some of us, and broke something. My other hope is that TNT reads these forums, sees this thread, and now has an idea of what they need to do to fix what they broke.
 
Fixing what is wrong here would actually be very simple, and would not take much time to accomplish.
 
 
I really do wish they would take the community up on the several offers they have received of assistance in fixing things that are broken. Personally, I have 12 years of professional experience in PHP, HTML, and JavaScript, and 8 years of experience with jQuery, and would work for them for free to help fix the site, because I do love Neopets. Neopets is what started my passion for programming when I originally started playing in 2000 - I wanted to make a Pet Page and couldn't find anything back then that "fit" my pet, so I used their HTML tutorial to start figuring things out. <3

Not a lot of people know this, but Bejeweled was actually inspired by Shariki on the DOS, which was released 7 years before Bejeweled!

I just found my Magma Pool time! 

I've had the page open now and then over the last three days or so, hoping to find my time. I knew for certain it didn't happen between 1600 - 1630, but other than that I was hoping to find it randomly, as remembering to go back every five minutes was, well, a bit boring. After clicking one last time for the day before closing the tab, the guard fell asleep!

Between this and getting the Lever of Doom avatar after ~3k's worth of pulls, I feel pretty lucky with this account! :D
 
ETA: After catching a glance at my counter, I just realised that I hit the 50% avatar mark today too! :D :D

FYI, for those interested, and who may not frequent the Neoboards, Ghoul Catchers is working, again! I was able to verify via Facebook and Android. Haven't had a chance with iOS, though, but it should be good, too. Go get your 50K a day!

Wow, this sucks.  I am so sorry for you guys.  It sounds to me like they are targeting older accounts.  IDK if changing the shield, so that they can't see the age of the account, would help.  I have heard, IDK if it is true, but I have heard that they target accounts of people who haven't been online for a while.  Putting your account into stealth mode does NOT help as they also target those.  Just something I heard around different boards, don't know if it is true.  Good luck getting your accounts back.

Just saw this...horrible. Just horrible. I've never actually used the ALP but I always wanted to!...I wonder if that person is going to try to sell illegally through another site for real money. I highly doubt they went through all that trouble just so they could have the item for themselves. Ugh so disgusting how people think this is okay. You can gift things to yourself. I've done that several times just to get rid of the boxes. Just send your useless stuff to yourself, and repeat as necessary. It's time consuming, but it gets rid of those pesky boxes! :)

It's the tediousness of feeding that gets to me, too. Plus I invariably try to feed them something that gets a response of "yuk, I'm not eating one of those!" :laughingsmiley:
 
It's hard to remember who doesn't like what, lol. Who needs children when your Neopets are picky eaters!

On my main, I keep them in all the time just because I'm too lazy to feed them all everyday and it keeps them happy and bloated.
 
However on my sides I'm usually at the soup kitchen. Since I don't have adblock for my sides it feels like I'm helping JS   :P

That sounds like me. I always avoid medicine until the last minute. I hate taking medicine because it makes me feel like a wuss lol. They gave me three different prescriptions, and that's on top of the three I already have! But yes, I will suck it up and take all of them. x_x I suppose you're right and prevention is the key. Plus I need to get better quickly in order to go to back to work, which is very physically demanding. I'm trying to avoid fainting from too much blood rush.
