Gaia's managed to hold on because of its size, I think, the smaller avatar sites have dwindled as interest fell away with people getting sucked into social media. Gaia maybe has a large enough amount of players for there to be enough people willing to shell out for the cash items to keep it going. It entirely overwhelms me if I log in there now, it's like Las Vegas, my MS-addled brain can't deal with it. *looks at home page* That's a telling figure, though let's be fair, a lot of people are asleep right now, but I remember that number needing a zero on the end. And when people say Neo's economy is insane... LOL! The last time I did log in and collected the Daily Bribe I'd shut the box down before my brain caught up and realised what the amount had been and I was flabbergasted. (that's a great word, people should use it more) My girl is cute though, and I still think she's cute. The guild I was in set up on Gaia because it was SO much better for communicating. Separate threads for separate topics?! It was like a miracle! Then we got sucked in by how fun dressing an avatar was as Neo didn't have customisation at that point. Very glad that I came back to Neopets though, and glad that it's actually having a bit of a renaissance because of the current global situation.

Well look at that, one good thing to come from 'rona's prolonged visit is people rediscovering Neopets. It's definitely going to be providing a LOT of comfort for thousands of people right now, and that gives me big blanket-sized warm fuzzies.

Yeah I guess snow pets are inoffensive, there's no great innovation that can be done with their design, some of the previous ones the carrot element looks pretty weird... 0.o Fierce eyebrows! Yeah, looking through them all this Krawk's actually one of the best! Many have no ornamentation at all, with some the carrot element is too jarring (I'm looking at you, Bori) you could work with the Krawk though. I too love the irony of the outfit.

I'm feeling good about this! Not sure that it's particularly helpful sharing this! He might not have drawn the b/g too, I just find it cool that someone with previous strong ties to Neo is back doing (excellent) work for them.

What to say in response to this statement... To be honest NQ is always gonna be very much a YMMV situation. Some people go back to either game multiple times, others swear they'll never play either ever again, lol. I enjoyed NQ more than NQII, don't know why though, really? It's considerably shorter, that might have something to do with it, or maybe it's more that it's simpler with just the one character. I do suspect that at some point I'll want to upgrade my NQII trophy though, and if I live to regret that decision? Well that's for me to deal with at the time isn't it. @ClockNotWork how old school it is is definitely part of the appeal. Check it out, there's good guides to be found. I use this one, and you can take as long as you like as long as you play it every 3 months I think? Or it resets and you have to start all over again. I'm still at this point myself, lol.
