I don't know if I can agree with you on this one. It's true that there are many adults that play neopets, but you have to remember that there are children as young as 13 (and even younger if they have parental permission) that frequent the neoboards as well. TNT have always been very upfront that they aim for neopets to be a place for ALL users to relax, free from the cares of the real world, and not everyone has positive associations with alcohol (or other drugs). If you'd posted profanity or political or religious content you'd have been warned as well. There's better places to talk about such things if you want to, and in fact neopets is one of the few places on the internet that I know of where you can't discuss such things. 

I think in this case it was fair that you were warned when you broke a rule. Whether the person (or people) who reported you was jealous or not has no bearing on the matter, IMO.

Yes, I do play it! I've beaten the main story of Moon. I take it you like Pokemon? Very fun. As for dream pets, I don't really have one! It's always been hard for me to pick favorites of anything...

Hi Adarah! It's nice to meet you. 

I find that I spend time on neopets trying to perfect my pets' customizations, and slowly working on my item galleries. In the past maybe year or so I've started playing the stock market as a way to make more NP, and that's been pretty wild too. I'm still not sure I'm doing it right but something seems to be happening anyway. 

Battling is kind of cool too though, do you participate in the obelisk skirmishes?

I just realized you have to buy donation packs to donate NC items at the charity corner, so I am offering these small and not very valuable NC items for trade, ideal for people who maybe have some extra donation packs to fill up (or even if you just want the item itself). Make me an offer either here via PM or NM me, willing to trade multiple of these small items for one slightly better item or whatever works for you. Hi, we don't really know each other, but I just thought I'd offer some words, you can take or leave them.

I believe that no matter what, you deserve to feel valued and not made to feel like less than a person. From your description, it just sounds to me like the two of you weren't a good fit (and I'd venture to say that he treated you selfishly). It's easy for someone like me to say "He doesn't deserve you, you're worth more than that," but it can take a while before you really feel the truth of it, especially when it comes to ending a relationship that lasted so long and started so young. 

It's alright to be upset and sad and still feel in love with someone you know is bad for you. I feel like relationships are definitely something that can be mourned, and that can be a long process and everyone handles it differently. The temptation to fall into old patterns can be strong, but you're stronger. You can move on from this, take the good memories and the lessons learned with you in your heart, and leave the bitterness and pain behind. You'll move on to bigger and better things. Just give yourself time and remember to treat yourself kindly and with patience.

Whatever the case, I wish you luck and happiness (and love, if that's what you want).

Yyyyep. That Cheaper by the Dozen is impossible to pass up. 

Managed to get the Thieves Guild avatar and site theme from the last round of obelisk skirmishes. That makes 2- I got The Sway before. I highly doubt I'll try to get the others, because I only like picking factions that can get the Cheaper by the Dozen boon.

If you have any training items, such as dubloons or especially codestones, I always find those sell very quickly. Dailies give them out a lot, so if you did them before you left you may have some.

That sounds so fun. I got one of the original Furbies for Christmas when I was a kid (not to age myself...). He was green. The new ones look like they can do a lot more, and with the app compatibility and everything it seems like you'll have lots to keep you busy with him.

Do you mean a true transmogrification potion, to turn him into a mutant pet, or just any general morphing potion to change his species and color? There's quite a lot of potions given out by dailies, I'd suggest looking up a Red Poogle Morphing potion or a Starry Grarrl Morphing potion if that's the way you want to go. Pirate potions tend to be pretty cheap too, because of Anchor Management.

I always promise myself that once I reach my (current) bank goals I'll go back and buy all the advent calendar stuff that I have nostalgia for from when I played as a child or just the stuff that I don't have from previous years that I like. (Given that my current account is only four years old there's a lot I don't have...) 

I like this trend of hats/accessories that can be worn over wigs instead of being part of the wig, as it were. It opens up a lot of possibilities.

Aww, this is so sweet. These forums are full of Good Eggs. In general I've found the neopets community to be very nice indeed.

I am rather disappointed with some of the items so far.  Sorry to be such a downer.  I remember a couple of years ago, I believe, if I am not mistaken, it was when Jumpstart first took over, they gave out books almost every single day.  That was AWESOME!  I mean, who doesn't read to their pet?  And if you don't, the advent calendar books are usually worth quite a bit.  But this year, all of the items are "gifts."  Even the "toy" gun we got today, our pet can't even play with it.  They might "shoot their eye out."  LOL.  But seriously, what is up with a toy that our pets can't play with?  We have gotten 1 book and 1 wearable so far.  I hope there are better things to come.  

 

 

I agree. This is my first year doing the Advent Calendar and I was hoping for better prizes.

I find that in general, the Advent calendar has something for everyone- remember that even though you guys might not like the prizes every day (or even most of the days), throughout neopia there's lots of users who collect whatever is given out. For example today's prizes would be great for people who collect eyewear or sunglasses, bruce-related items, guns or snow-related items. Don't worry, there'll be plenty of prizes that you both like I'm sure. 

I personally don't like getting books in the advent calendar. I don't read them to my pets or sell them, they just sit in my sdb because I won't use up single-use prizes. I prefer plushes/toys and wearables. 

Between the two, I'd go for the royalgirl. The grey is cute, but i always feel like grey pets must be very restricting to customize (if you don't buy lots of Neocash anyway). 

Personally my favorite peophin is the Tyrannian. I have a custom made up for one and everything. 

Was depositing the last of my NP in the bank, finished with all my dailies and about to turn my attention elsewhere, when the Grey Faerie asked for a Cobrall. Got it for her, and...

I don't know if moving it a week earlier, or a week later would interfere with another country's holiday(s) or not, but if not, then why not move it? Just a thought.  :)

They kind of placed it awkwardly, because if they had it any later then it would coincide with the Advent Calendar.  I'd say it would be better to have it a little bit earlier in November, before Thanksgiving.

 

 

I feel like this whole win/lose thing is rigged. It just seems weird how it is lost/won by 1% every year and they NEVER show the standings each day, it's always at 50/50 and then BAM! we have a winner!

I know people were saying something to a similar effect last year because the Team Ice trophies clearly would have looked bad if they were Gold, and vice versa for the Team Fire trophies. 

Losing team again, level 2 trophy again, lol. The potion is pretty and I always like having trophies for my lookup anyway.

I don't really like the games and I'm not good at them, so when it comes to these kinds of events, I usually prioritize getting wearables, plushes, and petpets. I got all the ones I wanted so far so, eh. Igloo Garage Sale took entirely too much practice, but Kookia was super easy.
