Hey @Secre, that's cool! I hadn't heard about that yet! Then again, I often forget to check the news! lol Could you provide a link to where they talked about it? I'd love to learn more! On Abilities. They MAY be doing a battle plot, because they MIGHT be about ready to try some fixes on the battledome. MIGHT. It's a TOTAL guess on my part. So the opponents we face MIGHT have a Shhhhhh! ability that works. We won't know until we face them though! As for your set and pet. I would recommend constant training going forward. Between Codestone training, Kitchen Quests (only try the cheapish ones of maybe 5k or less), and Faerie Quest Cookie quests, you should be able to really increase your stats quickly! For your set. It's looking pretty good. Since we don't know what weapons the enemies in any battle plot will have. It's good to have something that will help you against EACH of the elements. Dual-Duties are nice of course. Reflectors, I recommend having some on stand-by, especially if you can't afford a shield that would cover one or more of the elements. However, right now, it's almost 2am for me, midnight NST. I've been busy IRL, but I can try to give you a better break-down for equipment you might consider tomorrow, or Sunday at the latest. I'll have a bit of work to do in looking up new and old weapons for set possibilities, and looking for price. If you've got a maximum amount of NP you'd be willing to spend on new equipment, please let me know and I'll factor that into my budgeting as I'm researching gear. There are a couple different healers besides the Bag of Healing Sand. Not as high as 50% unless there's a species healer available to your pet. Mysterious Red Potion CAN heal 25% when your pet is under 25% health, or Parachuting First Aid Kit heals 33.3% of your health once per battle. I'd look into those two as alternate healers if you don't want to go for a Bag of Healing Dust. I'll look at more items for you later. If you have any questions on anything I've written here, feel free to ask and I'll answer when I reply next. Until then, G'night. Good luck with your training! EDIT: To continue on with the equipment check. Without a budget, I'll be limited in what I can recommend. I'll try for the best and some items based on effectiveness, not price. Do you happen to have a Blazing Embers or Sword of Malum? Both are no-trade, so if you don't you don't. Same stats, different icons. Otherwise, your Void Blades SHOULD take you pretty far for pure Offense. Freezers, good luck getting that H4000 Helmet! Hope ya get it! That'll be leaps and bounds above your Snowglobe staff! Healers, I already covered a couple good alternatives above if you don't want to splurge on a Bag of Healing Dust. Ghostkerbomb, you mentioned having, right? Definitely bring it along! Downsize! is GOOD! And your plan on maybe picking up some Thick Smoke Bombs is a pretty good idea. I would suggest perhaps not using them though unless you really need to. Either to progress in the plot, or if there is a collective boss battle. Where we ALL chip away at a boss with massive HP to bring it down in losing battle after losing battle. Shields/blockers and a Reflector Alternative. LIGHT: You might consider a Parasol of Unfortunate Demise if you want to spend your NP on something OTHER than Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield. The parasol is a MUCH cheaper full light blocker, and it only blocks a small amount of earth and water, no air or physical like Nox's shield does. So the parasol is just a budgetary recommendation. Nox's shield is excellent from everything I've seen and read about it. My set is intermediate-level, at best. The only HT item I have in it is the Ghostkerbomb. Light Reflect Alternatives: Combo Battle Mirror (75% reflect-Multiuse) Or, Expert Lens (50% reflect-Multiuse). EARTH: If you like HT items, Shield of Pion Troect blocks all earth and a couple light icons, also deals just under 3 full dark icons. Pirate Captains Hat might be something. it blocks 100% of BOTH Earth and Light, as well as 5 icons of Fire. BUT! It is semi-fragile, meaning it CAN break for the duration of the battle. But it'll be back when you start a new battle. Earth Reflect Alternatives: Ultra Dual Shovel (75% reflect-Multiuse) Or, Pretty Negg Shield (Defends 60% earth and 20% Light) also (20% Earth reflect, 20% Light reflect-Multiuse). FIRE: Frozen Cyodrake Shield seems to be a good 100% fire blocker. Not a LOT of pure Fire blockers I can find. Slipper Floor Potion (blocks 100% fire 100% water- Single Use) Fire Reflect Alternatives: Clawed Shield defends 3-dark icons, (61%-80% reflect-Multiuse). Or Flame Reflectozap (75% reflect-multiuse). Water Whip (10 icon attack,. reflects 50% of fire as air). WATER: Faerie Tabard Blocks 100% water, 5 fire and some icons that Nox's shield blocks as well, though not as many. Leaf Shield, the green one from Illusen's quest blocks 5 icons of water, not great, but it's something AND pretty cheap. Enchanted Kiko Squeeze Toy blocks 100% water, but that's ALL it does/blocks. It's gonna be a little pricey since it's retired. Water Reflect Alternatives: MEGA U-Bend, (75% Reflect-Multiuse). U-Bend of GREAT Justice, if you can find one, reflects 81%-100% of water. DARK: Ghostkershield, but it's a little out of date. Hanso Charisma Charm is a great Dual Duty. Attacks with 5 icons each of earth and light, while blocking 100% Darkness. Dark Reflect Alternatives: Ultimate Dark Reflectorb (75% Multiuse), Amulet of Reflection (25%Fire 75%Dark, Single Use) AIR: Shield of Faerieland Blocks 100% Air, 5 fire and 5 physical. Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield blocks 5 air. Air Reflect Alternatives: Triple Turbo Dryer (75% Multiuse) PHYSICAL: Altadorian Swordbreaker (5 earth attack, blocks 100% Physical), Yooyuball Keepers Chest Guard (blocks 100% physical and a couple icons of water, earth and dark), Yooyuball Player Sling attacks with 6 icons and blocks all physical. Go with the Sowrdbreaker. Physical Reflect Alternatives: None, can't reflect physical. There ya go @Secre. Hopefully this will help you finish off your set. Keep your best equipment on-hand, and save a couple slots to swap out gear depending on the new opponents. Especially useful for single-use items or the more fragile 50% reflectors, which I mostly didn't mention as they are pretty darn cheap and can permanently break pretty easily too. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Good luck!

I'm with you, Duma. I like smaller cities. After the last census, the city I live in's population rose to a little over 6200. We didn't even hit 6000+ until the 2010 census. lol I don't like metro cities. Or even cities with populations of 50,000+. Just, too big, confusing, busy, and CROWDED. There are countries I wouldn't want to move to, just like there are cities I wouldn't want to move to, conversely, there are cities and countries it might be nice to move to. But as far as countries go, I'm terrible at learning languages, so that's probably out. ^^;

Instead of just regular guards, they seem more like based on Valkyries instead of royalty. So, elite guards, but still guards, I agree.

It ALL sounds like good ideas you've got in-mind! Do it all! Happy early birthday!

Pink, one of the best flavors for cotton candy! lol Ah tired, yeah. That's what I'm feeling too. A little closer to not hopeless, but let's say, less hopeful, about the future the older I get, the longer things feel stagnant. Unfortunately, bad things happen, and there's not always things we can do about them. No matter HOW much we WISH we could. You know, whomever said you "get used to rudeness", doesn't "get" it. No disrespect to them, but a good and kind person who tries not to be rude, will never "get used" to someone being rude to them. It's just a cliche that people who don't care about rude behavior use to try and help those who are impacted by it. That's MY opinion on it. I could be wrong, it's been known to happen before. I almost ALWAYS think of others first. Not in a door-mat way, just a thoughtful one. I remember once when I was a little kid, probably not even 10. I had been taught to open and hold the door for others. And this one lady starts pitching an angry fit just because I happen to be a boy and she didn't need any male holding the door for her. This was a bloody ADULT! I could go closer to home, but I think I'd hit the post-character limit if I started listing off examples of abject rudeness from my sister. The thing is, if I'M rude or short with someone, it bothers me. Not just for a little while either. So, I tend to be diplomatic at worst, and polite at best. Get me really angry, and I'll still "hold back" on the language. There are a few words/phrases I try hard to NEVER utter. Whether I find them that vulgar or simply that disrespectful in general. So, do what will keep you feeling comfortable and TRUE to YOURSELF. As my mom would say, "Tend your own fire(s) first." I tend to neglect mine a little, in lieu of helping others, but that's a choice and sometimes there are consequences to it. But that's the kind of person I am. So yeah. find what works for you, and go with that. Be flexible, but not too flexible. Wouldn't want to be pushed into bending over backwards for someone you don't want to really go that far for. but find your range of reactions and what you're willing to accept for YOUR self-health, and work as much within that as you can. Hopefully that will help lessen the impact of rudeness and negative things on you. You can't control other people. Their rudeness is on them even if they don't consider it rude. It's OK to get mad or simmer for awhile, or even when you think of what they said or did. But, DON'T let those actions, words, or emotions control you and KEEP you down. Hopefully that will make some sense to you. That's stuff from my own experience of trying to figure out what works for me. I hope at least some of it helps.

Yeah, the hat is "off". lol The boots.... um.... well, maybe they're MEANT to spur a peophin on while swimming? I dunno, that spur seems conspicuously placed.

So, apparently I joined TDNF on May 22, 2012.... Which means I missed my 10 year anniversary just a little before my 41st birthday. LMAO Yep, I'm practically a fossil now, compared to many users. XD So, I've been playing Neopets since November 20, 2003. Man, the first guild I actually joined, OPON, aka, Older People On Neopets. It was probably about 16 years ago now. Back then in my 20s, I was one of the youngest members. It started as a group on the neoboards, solving the Mystery Pic and Lenny Conundrum, and eventually became a guild. Mainly because people were leaching off of the work people involved with the thread were doing trying to solve those two parts of the site. It took maybe a month or so before I was officially invited to join them. Had a few blow-outs, but that happens. At one point, during one of several of my hiatuses from the site in general. Some kind of major schism had happened and the guild literally split into two. Recently, well, within the last 6 years or so. We got back together, not that there are many of us left active from either guild. There are only a couple of us active, and I'm probably the most active right now. But in the last 10 years... I've learned a bit. I remember my application to join TDN Staff. Did my best and got in on my first try. I miss Crimson, Lamppost, and some of the other TDN Staffers who aren't staffers anymore. I still have my battle application "essay question" saved. lol You never know when it might be useful in practical applications, but it actually hasn't been. I saved it because I felt I did a good job answering the points I needed to in it. XD I'd been coming up with budget-battling sets since LONG before my application here. Not just for myself, but for guildmates, friends and random people on the neoboards. Or on the old IDB Battlepedia site. (That apparently merged with Neoitems). That used to be a stand-alone site and I wanted to join them, before whatever cataclysm happened that trashed their server. There are still math things in the battledome I'm not 10,000% clear on, and TNT likes to throw strange monkey-wrenches at us with some of their new weaponry. But I'm a lot better with determining what an item does in battle than I was when I first signed up here. Crimson, Lamppost, and pretty much everybody on-staff were good teachers. Whether how to determine stats in battle, or how to create entries for new items, etc. As for how I've changed? I'd say, that in recent years, I'm getting a little more cynical. MIGHT be my old age. lol Kidding. Probably hold-over stress from the pandemic though. I'm still living in the same place since the year after my dad passed away. No dog, struggling with art and still a bit in life. But also still trying to keep a positive attitude about things. Helping my friends and people where I can when i see 'em down. My niece just graduated high school this past June 1st. In fact, her graduation party is this-coming Saturday. I couldn't be prouder of her for making it through the hell that is public school. Same school district I graduated from 22 years ago. lol So I know how it can be. My nephew just saved up enough chore money to buy himself some (He)X-box console. Not sure which one, but it came with some games. Not sure if he got it used or what. But, he's only 12. So, the fact he was able to do enough extra chores (doesn't get paid for his regular chores), and save that money up to buy something BIG he wanted? You bet I'm proud of him there, even if I'm (obviously) not a fan of that line of consoles. He'll be 13 in September. I've made some good friends, lost a couple for whatever reason. I don't tend to be the one who decides to part ways. it's frustrating when they do and don't tell me why. Had a couple crushes, none panned out, but oh well. It's been, Life. Not ideal by ANY stretch of the imagination, but, Life seldom is for most people. I'll just keep going and see what Life has in store for me. Hopefully a brighter patch for a span. That would be a nice change of pace. It's good to see we still have some long-time members still here. Duma, and Namaah and Duskitty of course! Since you guys started/commented on this thread! XD Of course, long-time members, ya gotta think the staff who've been here MUCH longer than Duma or me. Like Hrtbrk, Mouseykins, and Ian for example! They probably have done more work than most of the other staffers combined over the many years TDN has been around! Dunno who all has been here the longest. But without them, TDN wouldn't exist! Gotta go to bed, later everyone.

I'm leaning toward the Seekers as well. They're 2nd, but only by a little bit in Oxbridge's prediction. The draw of boons like Bank Bribery and some other popular boons might help give them the advantage as far as who joins which faction. But I'm gonna join up tomorrow. EDIT: Decided to join The Seekers. Good luck everyone!

Who will you join this round? Remember you need to win 10 battles to qualify for boons or consolation prizes! EDIT: Oxbridge786 has finally updated their petpage. Important Security Update: Neopets Is Currently Being Hacked
Aquamentis12 replied to hrtbrk's topic in Neopets News
I was only saying that if any characters were to be excluded, I could see a possible reason for @ and #. But it's a stretch. Considering regular words you CAN'T use on Neopets because they have other less desirable words in them (grapes, anyone?), it doesn't really surprise me much that this insanity has bled into the password system. Whoops! I changed my password with the old system. lol Logged out and back in to check, and it works fine for me. -
Important Security Update: Neopets Is Currently Being Hacked
Aquamentis12 replied to hrtbrk's topic in Neopets News
I'm a little surprised by "&", but the "hashtag" and "at" symbols make sense since they are used for other things like e-mails and well, hashtagging things. lol -
Well @alola9, there is usually a discussion thread here at TDNForums where people discuss who they pick for their Staff Tourney teams. Next year you should seek it and join in the discussion! As for what games I play in the AC . I'm not big on the Support games, so I focus on Yooyuball. Because of how much I've played YYB, I can usually get decent scores each game, depending on how many Darigan yooyus do or don't show up. I do miss the old (Flash) version of YYB though. I always wanted to see if I could score 18 goals. I know some people say they were able to reach 18, but I've not seen screenshot proof yet. My best score in the old version was 17. With this new version of YYB, the HTML5-version, they changed how the clock works so we lose more time more quickly than in the old days. My best score this year was 13. But my best score since the current version of YYB was released, is 14. I think I've gotten that only once though. I'm not sure what the maximum score possible is though. As for why I'm not big on the Support Games. I have reasons for each. Make Some Noise. Too much like Tug o' War, I can go quickly a couple of games, but my wrist gets tired after a couple of games and it's hard to keep up. Slushie Slinger. Starts off a bit too slow imho, and goes at a "good" pace for too short of time before getting pretty hectic, Takes longer than a game of YYB. Though it is my favorite of the support games, since it was the first game I've seen with a Peophin in it, even if it's basically an NPC. I'm a HUGE peophin fan. ShootOut ShowDown. Quick, simple, but I am not a fan of Chias, their graphics. lol Too many close-ups for my liking. Plus it takes the most plays to wrack up rank-points. THAT being said, I have seen players who have reached All-Star with only SoSd games. I haven't tried the support games since they were converted to HTML5. So they may be a bit different, like YYB had changes to it after the conversion. Ah, so you like to play the various teams, that's cool. Everyone has their reasons for joining up with whichever team they pick each year. I really like Maraqua so I always back them. But trying out different teams is cool too. What game(s) do you focus on when you play in the AC?

Going with The Sway as well! I like their boon selection.

Altador Cup Winner Announced And Prize Shops!
Aquamentis12 replied to hrtbrk's topic in Neopets News
Hey Brooke! Nice to see you're still around! (Wouldn't have known if not for your sig though. lol) That would be nice. I wish there was a better way to keep people from cheating. I mean, cheating at a FREE game? Kinda... sad really. Anyway, that's a nice idea. I just hope no legit players get caught up in that mitigation. I really wish that YYB would reward higher scores with more prize points. Like, sure the game and the goals would count toward the team and the ranking up. But the sheer number of items that cost higher numbers of prize points is insanity this year. THREE stamps? The Thunder Sticks, as I said before, looks like a cool and worthy higher-cost weapon. But I fail to see how 3 stamps does anything good, except make those with a ton of time to dedicate to the AC to get to and go beyond All-Star, a TON of NP? I don't get the valuation there. 120mil for 3 brand new stamps that people will be claiming over several days and weeks so the supply will likely increase a little for awhile. I mean SURE, I'm frustrated by the crazy asking prices of those stamps, AND that I didn't have time to dedicate to the AC this year. AND that I missed out on last year's prizes because I went to check the Prize shop in May and apparently I'd JUST missed it. Though as I recall I didn't have a ton of Prize points from last year, maybe around 4000? Not sure if it would've been enough for the stamp or not. But as far as goals scored counting toward prize points? I've been wishing they'd do that for most of the last 10 years. Though with the new way YYB is timed, you can't score nearly as high as you could when it was Flash. I understand that it might lessen the amount that the support games are played, but I doubt it would be THAT big of a deal. There's still a score-send cap on the games right? So there's still only so many games of YYB that one could play/send in a day. They'd just get some extra prize points if they were skilled enough to score a lot of goals. And playing the support games would still give prize points, rank points and count toward beating the opponent team each day. So there's still plenty of reasons for most to play them. LOL If I had that kind of NP to blow, I'd say "same", Duma. If the stamps ever get down to all 3 for say, 10 mil. I'd buy a set. But it takes me waaaaaaaaaaaay too long to earn NP to go for them at their current price. I hope you can find a good deal from another TDNer! Quick question. If your team ranks in the top 3, do you get anything for it? Like, extra prize shop points or something for the players who supported the top 3 teams during the AC? Just sudden;y wondered. lol Thanks in advance. -
Altador Cup Winner Announced And Prize Shops!
Aquamentis12 replied to hrtbrk's topic in Neopets News
I thought for SURE Meridell would rank 1st! I wonder what happened at the end? Also, what's up with the price of the prizes? There are 3 stamps and when I asked someone on the TP what they were looking for, for the set of 3. He said 120m! Seriously, 120,000,000 NP! I have some MUCH OLDER AC stamps and those combined wouldn't come CLOSE to 120mil! How is that even....?! Since I couldn't play enough to get even one stamp this year, I was counting on doing some trading. Guess I'll have to write them off and try again next year. *sigh* Btw, those Thunder Sticks things seem pretty cool. I don't have enough points for 'em, but I looked up their stats, they kind of make the Moehog Skull look like an over-priced paperweight. lol With as hard as it would be to obtain a Moehog Skull I mean. Plus the stats are a little nicer on the Thunder Sticks imho. Similar attack in icon number, different types of course, but the defense is a bit more useful if you know you're going against an opponent that uses a LOT of Physical icons. -
I think sign-ups end during the first week of play/first week of June. I might be wrong on that. But yeah, it stinks when IRL takes over. I only got... I think 92 games in this year. Won 'em all, but I really wanted to get further than rank 4! My staff Cup score should at least be respectable. My score with that is usually around or over 32,000 points. As for the AC prizes, I doubt it, but I hope I have JUST enough points for this year's AC stamp. Doubtful, but one can hope. Good luck with the AC next year alola9! If you don't mind me asking, do you know which team you'll sign up with? Just wondering. I always go with Maraqua. For better or worse. lol

Asked at the guild I'm in and the only respondent wanted to try The Awakened, so that's what we're going with. Good luck everyone.

Hmmmm.... I have no love for the Brute Squad's boons. The Awakened would at least be a shot at some better boons. Even though the Brute's prediction % is more than double that of The Awakened....tough call.

USA Supreme Court Bans Abortion .. Your Thoughts ?
Aquamentis12 replied to Angeló's topic in General Chat
@Musical_Shoyru, good to read your post! Very rational! I don't usually wade (no pun intended) into these mires, and like Musical_Shoyru, I have NO desire to debate my views. (Already done that plenty over the previous months elsewhere). So, I will simply state and explain them, and put anything I feel might be "sensitive" behind spoiler tags. I wish I could be as concise and less passionate as she was with her post. Unfortunately, I believe so strongly in speaking out for the weak and innocent that I can go long at the keyboard and my passion can become fiery. So, please bear with me. I'm not trying to offend anyone here. ^^; Just wanting to get my thoughts out. First off Angelo, congrats! I hope that you and your fiance have a fine and long life together! But the thing is Angelo, when Roe won out over Wade in 1973, Abortion was supposed to be 3 things. 1) Safe 2) Legal 3) Rare. It's been 49 years, and over 74,000,000 abortions have happened in the USA since then. I would HARDLY call that "Rare". Also, the abortion facilities don't need hospital level sanitation in the rooms where the abortions are actually done, so nix "Safe" too. Texas TRIED to impose that in their state, but that was overturned for whatever unfathomable reason. Having strict sanitary conditions in a room where an internal procedure like that is done, should be sanitary imho. I was SHOCKED to learn they weren't required to do that! So, a little history first. The biggest abortion organization in the US, Planned Parenthood, the founder, one Margaret Sanger, was an avowed racist who said that 'if they can't obliterate the non-whites, then they should keep their numbers in check'. Her answer, Planned Parenthood and Abortion. She even spoke at KKK rallies! This is why so many of the early Planned Parenthood "clinics" were in urban and metro areas, where there were lots of non-whites who were poor and had too many people in their families and not enough money to afford bigger homes in better neighborhoods. Granted, segregation was also going on when Margaret Sanger was still around. I didn't even know what Planned Parenthood DID until the mid-90s, when one of the LAST protests (with graphic signs) against abortion marched by where I grew up as a kid. I say "last", because shortly there-after pro-life protestors were BANNED from carrying signs that show what these protestor-signs showed. Unborn babies before birth, as well as photos of aborted babies. Talk about stomach turning. (The latter, not the former). Back then, partial-birth abortion was still legal. A barbaric practice in which the womb was injected with Another argument FOR Planned Parenthood has been that they PROVIDE mammograms, a lie. In or around 2014, the president of Planned Parenthood testified before the Senate and was asked about that. She said that to the best of her knowledge, not a single PP facility in the USA PROVIDES mammograms, they do refer women to clinics where they can get them, but they do not provide them themselves. I firmly believe a woman has the right to decide what goes INTO her body. But, after she becomes host to a growing child, I believe that child has the right to life. After all, the US Constitution DOES say "Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness". Every pro-life person I've spoken too, and even a few who are pro-choice. Mainly women, have agreed with that idea. Guys, should REALLY be prepared. I mean, "protection". Preferably both should be using it. Or, as Queen Hatshepset offered, a vasectomy is another possibility. They can be undone if you ever decide you want kids. It would be a LOT easier an safer for you to have that done, than for your fiance having her "tubes tied". Not personally a fan of shots and stuff, but for someone I loved? I could probably be talked into it. Guys, if you're with a lady, and you don't have "protection", and she is uncomfortable in going further because of that, or for ANY reason for that matter, BACK OFF! Accept how she feels and just back off! Trying to convince her otherwise is not respecting her perspective and fears at that moment in time! There's an old saying, some might consider it harsh, but there are MANY variations of sayings with the same meaning. "You've made your bed, now lay in it." Basically meaning of course, that your actions have brought up consequences and you need to face them. Just like "If you do the crime, you do the time." Everything action has consequences, whether good or bad to that person's perspective. Abortion, imho, is a way of shirking that responsibility, by trying to delude people into thinking that until a baby takes it's first breath, it's not really alive. Unscientific hogwash. Of course it's alive! It can react to external stimuli, it can feel pain, it has a detectable heartbeat before the first tri-mester is even up. Oh yeah, even if it's not fully formed yet, it IS clearly alive. Even the plaintiff (Roe) in Roe vs Wade, has for about 20 years now, regretted her winning that landmark battle! She has been to and spoken at so many of the March for Life marches over the years! She said she brought suit to argue for abortion because medical technology was not good enough to save every mother who had a complicated pregnancy. When I heard her speak on TV, she would say that things had changed since the 70s, and that now the vast majority of cases with complicated pregnancies that BOTH mother-to-be AND child could be saved! And that was about 15 years ago I heard her say that! Also, this ruling does NOT completely ban abortions across the nation. It means that the States get to decide based on their people's votes. In other words, Democracy! People vote who people who will carry out their views. Pro-Life, pro-choice, or somewhere in-between. Anyone truly concerned about getting an abortion, can also "vote with their feet" as the saying goes. Move to a state that has abortion "clinics" for whatever level of reasoning suits your conscience. I believe Colorado just passed a law allowing it up to and during LABOR that the woman can decide to abort the pregnancy. Basically, infanticide since the baby's gotta come out NO MATTER WHAT. Whether it's alive or dead. That makes no sense to me, especially on a humanitarian level. Meanwhile, in Arizona, the passed some limitations on Abortions, save for a few circumstances. As the state-house was being invaded by an angry mob of pro-choicers. They needed smoke bombs to clear them out and protect the state legislature! Mobs of pro-choicers have been rioting (similarly to the Summer of 2020), over this decision destroying property, hurting people, even those who might AGREE with them about Roe. During all the years that The March For Life was going on, for almost 50 years too, I've NEVER heard of any of those pro-lifers doing anything violent, torching buildings, hurting people, etc. during their rallies. With the way these pro-choicers (not all, just the rioting mobs and those egging them on) are acting, you'd think they were part of some sort of Death-cult or something. Using violence and intimidation tactics instead of trying to speak their perspectives clearly and rationally. And certainly not trying to understand the other side's perspective either. I've done a LOT of pondering on this since I was as teenager. I DON'T HATE people who've had abortions. That had to be an incredibly HARD decision to make. I DO know people who HAVE HAD abortions. The pain, the tears, the sadness when they talk about it.... Is beyond palpable. That's why I get so passionate about this. Short-term, it may seem like a solution, but long-term, it stains your heart with guilt and good people shouldn't suffer, even if they do sometimes make horrible mistakes as MANY people do, have and will. Oh yeah, and that line some politicians are saying about "the courts are coming for your birth control/contraceptives next!", that line? Utter BULLPLOP! Not at all true! This isn't a theocracy after all. So there we go. Some history, some of my thoughts and how I arrived at them. Etc. I know I got a bit impassioned here. But when it comes to protecting innocent life? Yeah, I'm gonna stand up for this. There are no lives more innocent and defenseless than these! And they SHOULD be protected if at all possible, imho. Sorry this got long, all. I've seen so much and I held back on a LOT because I knew this would get long, just not quite THIS long. All life should be considered precious. Especially those innocent of any wrong-doing, as babies are. Later! Happy debating. -
Nah, it's definitely NOT just you. I posted my thoughts on a NUMBER of differences between Flash and HTML5 versions here, in my Maraqua support topic. I used to average roughly 12.5 points per game in the last couple Flash ACs. I could score 17 points in the Flash version, but in this one, this year my best is 12 goals so far, got it twice tonight. Last year my best was 14 goals. Has that 1 time, and 13 goals 9 times in 224 games. I forgot I was screenshotting ALL my scores last year. This year I went back to what I did during the Flash ACs, only scores of 10+ get screenshots. LOL Whoops! XD Anyway, for a list of changes vs the Flash version I'm not used to yet, check the thread I'm linking to. Not EVERYTHING is there, I forgot about the invisible snow yooyu from last year, but tbh, now that I remember it, it wasn't THAT big of a deal because there's ALWAYS the shadow. Also, the BEST power up in the HTML5 version, I would say is the Goal Extender. The goalie can EASILY catch a yooyu fired from the Growth power-up. The wing's speed is always useful, but not as useful with the goalie's AI improved. Also, the freezing power-up only seems to work maybe half the times I get it. Just some additional thoughts I've had not in my posted topic.

Today I am listening to the sounds of NEAR-silence. lol Just the fans going and my PC Tower whirring on this hot near-Summer day.

It really depends on how much you can play. The more YYB wins or support game scores that qualify, the better your personal ranking and the more you win, the better your team does in the standings. I JUST got to rank 2. I usually get somewhere between Rank 8-14 in the AC. Got to All-star ONCE among the ACs I've participated in, I don't even remember what the requirements were that year, other than I KNOW I missed out on cashing in my points at the Prize shop. lol Brutal, I know. I wish TNT would give a specific date when the prize shop closes. Ah well. As far as the Staff tourney goes. I did ok this time on Week 1. Total score for week 1 for me was 9423. Not too shabby imho. I usually base my week 1 team of my team(s) from the previous AC. I keep a screenshot record for reference. Though with staff changes, some have to change and then it's a guess.

I managed to get in a game of YYB before midnight NST to rank up. Didn't get a window expiration error message. Perhaps, are you looking at other windows/tabs at some point between starting a game and sending the score? That might have something to do with it. I mean, if you have the Fruit Machine spinning, or a wheel spinning and you go to another tab, it pauses until you return to that tab. That's the only thing I can think of to suggest without having experienced the error you are talking about.

Hey Duma! No worries. I hope your sick kitty will make a quick recovery! I'm leaning toward The Sway, since I like their boons. But I haven't signed on yet. Oxbridge seems to give them an advantage as well. Of course that doesn't mean they'll win. With each faction having 1 vote so far on the poll so far, I gotta agree with you. It will most likely be a difficult round for any faction to win!

Remember you must win 10 battles to win the boons if your selected faction wins. Here is the link to Oxbridge786's prediction for this round. http://www.neopets.com/~Oxbridge786
