What Mouseykins said. I know some rich players like to donate things, which is very generous of them. Sometimes it makes a person's week to receive such a gift. It feels great to give, too. But on the other hand, one of the good things about playing Neopets is that it promotes saving over time for something you really want. You will have the satisfaction of earning it yourself, which makes it feel special. Other ways to gain valuables and Neopoints: the more pages you visit (or refresh) the more chances of getting random events that are usually positive more often than negative. And as a new player many years ago, I won a valuable paint brush on the Fruit Machine. A good surprise will happen to you too eventually. Meanwhile, enjoy the games and special events. And what I still enjoy best about Neopets is just looking at all the cute designs of everything. That's worth more than anything else to me. 
P.S.: If someone ever does give you a paint brush, be grateful. But I'll bet earning your own NP for another pet will make that one seem unique to you. 

First, thanks for replying. I was afraid I would sound like a complainer if I was the only one a bit bothered by this. I already use Chrome for Neopets. If Firefox is even worse, I'm glad I'm no longer using it for this site. 

I think that happened to me during the first plot step. Did you go to the location by clicking on the solution of the puzzle? (I'm not sure if that's what fixed it for me, but I did get the lock puzzle eventually.)
 
Good question. I haven't been able to find anything yet (I tried to visit the soup kitchen on my side accounts to feed my pets, but gave up because the fog is too annoying). I have noticed that Firefox is worse at loading the pages with the fog (and removing it) than Chrome is, so if you haven't tried Chrome yet, perhaps you could try what clicking 'OK' does there?
 

yes .. it all depends on the drop rarity .. i may have missed a point here which is the bags are R101 i means they're not gonna be regenerated (just like retired goodie bags) so that can add to the rarity and price .. the bag that's opened will never be available again in Neopia ... but still the mechanism of the Fruit Machine or the Alien Vending Machine is a bit different in my opinion .. getting a PB there is soooo rare i only got it once during my 18 yrs on Neopets .. but i think the bags have more probability of dropping a rare item (or maybe not .. idk .. those Alabriss Wings are still darn 10Mil and the Skarl Snowbunny is nowhere to be seen hehe)

EDIT: a quick Google shows it giving just low value items so far, but if there is even a chance of something like, say, a Lost Desert Paint Brush inside, then maybe it will always have some potential of keeping its higher price. I'm speculating and have no actual proof yet of what's inside. If anyone is willing to open theirs, please post what you get. I'm sure we're all curious. 

So, AOL Instant Messenger, aka AIM, will be shutting down forever on December 15th, 2017. I still remember when it first came out as part of AOL, and then later became it's own independent product. After Yahoo developed a similar program that it offered for free I do believe. ;) And then eventually AIM had to go free too. Hard to believe it's been around for 20 years, but in a couple of days, it and all it's data will be no more. :( I've literally had thousands of chats with AIM over the last 20 years. Good and bad times, but it's been a good little program.
Anyway, there are a few people, very long-time friends, that I still keep in contact with via AIM, and I was wondering if anyone knows of any similar network? As Verizon has bought out BOTH Yahoo AND AOL, and will be turning them into a new identity, OATH. Both of those networks will be changing, hence why AIM will no longer exist.
I've been looking around, and I've come across some interesting sounding programs, but not sure about networks, as they seem to connect to OTHER networks, not have one of their own. Pidgin is one I'm going to "test-drive" tonight. I've tried discord, but I don't really like it as it messes with me having Firefox open, sometimes Steam as well. There are a couple other things I'm not big on for Discord either. If there's something that can connect to discord's network but not having to use discord's app, that'd be great.
Basically, I'm looking for something without a subscription fee, supports Instant messages, file sharing, like pics or video Works-in-progress that I'd like to share with someone, but not ready to be uploaded online for public display yet. Also something that doesn't take up the full screen or run inside of a browser window is preferable. And saving the chats to the computer is also a must. Not a mobile-app. I don't employ a smart phone, so phone-apps are no use to me. ;)
Oh, and I'm running Windows 8 as my OS.
Any suggestions?

Hi! I'm new to the forums, but I've been a lurker for a long time now. TDN and the forums have been really helpful in my last few years on Neopets!
But, I've decided to more or less quit Neopets after the current plot is done so I can focus more time on my business.
To make sure I actually stop playing, I'm giving away everything. All my items, from 15+ years of on-and-off playing. I haven't been a super-active player except in short spurts over the last few years, but I still have a lot of stuff.
Since TDN and the forums have helped me out a lot, I want to give everyone here the chance to request items before I dump it all at the Money Tree. 
So! If you have a wishlist, post or PM me a link to it. Or you can just send me a list of some items you'd like. If I have anything you want, I'll send it to you. If not, I might send you something similar in price. 
If you'd rather have Neopoints, put something in your shop for 99,999 and gimme the link and I'll buy it. 
After I've fulfilled some specific requests, I'll post a list of everything I have left and people can pick and choose. I just want to give people who have been wanting certain items for a while first dibs. This is kind of an awkward way to do it, but I can't think of anything that would work better, so.

I'm keeping my Neopets (but thanks to the people who have offered to adopt them!). I don't have any paint brushes, so if that's something you're wanting, I'd recommend putting some 99,999NP items in your shop and giving me the link. Same for battledome stuff; the few decent things I have I'm keeping till the end of the current plot.

I wouldn't know, I though it was my laptop not being able to handle it. Maybe it was a different problem but with the same displayed error? I'm using firefox as a browser, so maybe that's different?

I had it happen at GMC on medium and hard level. It's just because of the amount of tiles. It loads really slowly. I clicked continue when they asked me to close down flash and it worked too. You just need some patience. I hope you get it to work again.

MiraiKT, I'm sorry to hear that you are leaving. But I also wish you the best in your business. I will ask some less wealthy friends on Neo what they may like. As for me, I like special backgrounds, paintbrushes, potions, and anything scenic or beautiful. I may add a new pet soon so I'm considering new looks for them. Thanks for your generosity. Even if I don't get anything, I appreciate you doing this for everyone else.
EDIT: Sometimes I think we longer players don't deserve to ask for anything. But it occurred to me that we are also the ones who are more likely and more able to donate to others. I once gave a Lost Desert Paint Brush to someone and felt great for doing so. But even if we don't "re-gift" these items, it's also a case of giving to people who appreciate the items and the whole experience of Neopets on a deeper level. These gifts make us remember who gave them as well, like a keep sake full of memories of past friends and fun times. I know that "real world" collectors often do this for each other. I really admire the time and effort the artists spend on designing and creating an item. I also respect the hard work a player put into gaining the piece and what it meant to them.

I run into this problem every time I play Kou-Jong on the medium level. I get a dialog box that says that the movie is unresponsive or running slow. I can click either CANCEL or CONTINUE. If this is the same dialog box you get, click CANCEL. It may not make any sense, but the level finishes loading. I hope this helps.

OK, thanks, everyone, for the comments--I appreciate them.  I think I'm just busy with other stuff, like the money tree, and don't take the time to stop and read them before hitting the next page.  I like Lakecat's suggestion about shrinking the page size; that's a clever idea.
 

I've been pretty much saving any r80-r99 items I come across and have a select r90-r99 items I buy daily. My goal is to try and get about 10k items in total (More so r90-r99) by the time it comes around. I'm nearly at 2k items right now :) (Lots of doubles of items
What have you been collecting for it, if anything? What do you think the next CC will be?

You're right. I checked my notes. I wrote down the 20th two times, then the 21st. I should have looked before posting.   

I don't think so.  I got my 100k today.  The 6th was the reset.  Today is the 25th day from then, as the 6th is the first day, so 6+24=30.  You might just have an off by one error, because of the index starting at 1.
