    Or is it...

Whilst buying my stocks today I noticed something rather suspicious!

Cybun Electromatics 15 Cybun got off to a flying start in Year 2 following the release of their snazzy scooters. Will they manage to hold off the competition and continue to grow? CEO Miss Cyberta Green certainly hopes so:) Slogan - You think it, we make it.
    Competitors
Here is a list of companies that are in the same business as Cybun Electromatics .
KATE Kacheek Telecommunications 0 Buy NTV Neopian TV Channel One 0 Buy TEFV Techrobatics Fitness Videos 0 Buy

ALL of Cybun Electromatics competitors are bankrupt...
    I call shenanigans!!

    ORLY NOW! !
That smiley face on the end there...that certainly seems to be saying "yes I think we'll hold off our competitors "

WHAT DID SHE DO TO THEM!

I believe dirty dealings are just as alive in Neopia as they are in our world, lol.
Do share your discoveries, suspicions and theories of Neopian unscrupulousness, I bet there's loads out there that I haven't spotted yet.

Not that I know of, if you continue to beat Chadley every day, you should get that gold trophy. :) (And if you beat Chadley during the Double Dare, you did complete the Double Dare, as you should have received Abigail's prize as well.)
I usually don't do Team Challenges, but that's never affected my trophy. They just get you an extra prize if both you and your teammate beat the same challenger.
Neopets has this (read #6) to say on requirements for each trophy:
Gold – Beat Chadley at each challenge.
Silver – Complete all challenges before the end of Daily Dare, beating Chadley at least once.
Bronze – Beat Abigail at each challenge.
Participant – Beat or match at least one Chadley or Abigail score by the end of the event.

I may be wrong on this, but I don't think they do the neohome spotlight anymore. I think the palm tree clothesline is super smart, and I love how you sat a wooden plank on a couple of ropes. Pretty well done imo. Hopefully I'm wrong and you can enter (and then WIN!). ^_^

    Hey everybody!

I would love to win the neohome spotlight one day. I put many neupoints and time into it. But I cannot  judge if my house is ready to enter the competition. What do you think? Any suggestions?

    Thanks for your opinions

It'll take you 3 months to power-train to reds (I assume every 18 hours becomes more like every 24 hours because of sleep, etc.). Right now, regulars are about 1.5k less than reds, on average, and dropping. Meanwhile, reds are rising and will continue to do so as demand continues to increase. So what will it be 3 months from now, assuming today's prices? 8 x regular = ~56k per training. 1 x red = ~8.5k per training.

Now let's assume reds double in price (possible, but probably unlikely in three months), and regulars halve in price (not very likely, but this will give the biggest difference). 8 x regular = ~28k per training. 1 x red = ~17k per training. Assuming regulars stay relatively constant, reds would have to rise to where they were in price before BD beta opened. Which, if TNT stops the daily battle drops, they would, very quickly, but I don't think TNT is likely to do that; this seems like a permanent feature of the new BD.

So yeah, in your case, I think it's probably a pretty safe bet to power through. It'll take 600 trainings to catch your other stats up, but you'll be able to train every 2 hours -- if you can manage 5 trainings a day, it'd only take another 4 months (so 7 months total, vs. nearly 2 years if you stuck with regulars*). If you can use Count Von Roo, that could help too. I'd suggest scratchcards, but only if you have 1 pet. (I've had several friends tell me that you can gain a level for your battle pet, but I've probably gained at least 20 levels by cards over the years, and not a single one has ever gone to my battle pet. Ever. I even thought maybe the active pet couldn't get it, but my friend swears it can.)

*I'm so jealous, by the way. I slogged through the years of training because red codestone training was so much more expensive back then. You guys can train so fast now!

Yes, it's a good time to power-train to level 250. Gradually stockpile red codestones. You just reached the 300 boost, which is good.
Although I forecast red codestones going up in price as more pets reach level 250.

You could buy more weapons, but I really think you'll get better use out of training. Your pet only has a strength boost of 3! With your two anagram swords and your strength boost, you can do an average of 36 icons at 3 boost, or 108 damage. If you were to put just 10M into buying Altador Strength Potions, which tend to cost around 400k (though the price has been fluctuating), you could gain 125 strength points, making your strength boost 5.5. Then, you would do, on average, 209 damage. You've just almost doubled your damage without upgrading your weapons.

Even if your opponent blocks all of the air icons with Shield of Faerieland, they still can only block 5 icons of fire. If they have a defense boost of 2.5, like you do, then they'll block 12.5 damage of fire. With your current strength boost and the Sword of Reif, you're dealing 45 damage of fire, but if you increase your strength boost to 5.5, you'd be dealing 82.5 fire icons.

As long as your opponent doesn't have a full blocker, increasing your strength boost will increase the amount of damage you do to them.

Alternatively, you could increase your defense boost. Armoured Negg is the cheapest item defense increasers, and it tends to go for around 45K. With just 10M, you could buy 221 Armoured Neggs, to make your defense 314, which has a boost of 6.5. Let's say your opponent attacks you with a Sword of Reif for 15 fire and 3 physical icons. If you defend with your HNMS and your FTab, with the 125 defense boost, you block 30 damage of fire and 30 damage physical. Your opponent need only have a strength boost of 2 to get any damage through. However, if you increase you boost to 6.5, you would block 65 damage of each type. Your opponent would need to have a strength boost of at least 5 to get any damage through.

This is all assuming that you want to item train. You would save a lot of NP if you trained with the training school, and so you could get an incredibly formidable pet for your 100M. It takes a lot more time, though, which is why I suggested a few items that are stat increasers.

Honestly, your stats are pretty low for the strength of your weapons, and you can easily afford to increase your stats to a 5.5 boost on only a fraction of your budget. Training is the best option for you.

If you're still not convinced, consider if you were to fight my pet. I have a pet with over 500 strength and under 125 defense. Let's say you upgrade to Illusens Staff and get to the 125 defense boost. Knowing my weapons, your best move is probably to attack with your Illusens Staff and Faerie Tabard. In this scenario, you would do 13.3-19 icons, which is 39.9 to 57 damage, and you would defend all water, 15 fire, 9 air, 9 earth, and 15 physical damage points. The Illusens Staff also defends all dark and reflects 75% light. Now, I have terrible defense, so I would probably attack you with my Kelpbeards Trident and Brynns Legendary Sword of Wraith Smiting, which together do 10 physical, 2 light, 3 earth, 3 fire, and 11.25-19 water icons. All of the water and light is blocked, but with my strength boost of 11, I'm still doing 110 physical, 33 earth, and 33 fire damage to you. With your blocking, you're still taking 18 fire + 24 earth + 95 physical = 137 damage. Even with reflecting 75% damage of 22 light, which is only 16.5, I'm doing 137 to you, and you're doing 73.5. That means I'm doing 1.9 times the amount of damage I took from you, even when you're attacking at maximum. As long as I have more than 73 HP, which I do, I would win in one turn.

Alternatively, if you spent your 100M on training, you could probably take my pet easily. You could spend 30M on Armoured Neggs at 45k NP each to get 667 more defense points and max out at a 15 defense boost. Then you could spend 48M on Altador Strength Potions at 400k NP each and max out at a 15 strength boost. Now, with one of your anagram swords and your Faerie Tabard, you do 11.25-19 icons of damage, which is 168.75-285 damage points, and you block all water, 75 fire, 45 air, 15 earth, and 75 physical damage points. I can still get 22 light and 35 physical through, but now you're taking 57 damage instead of 137. Now, this fight will last 3 turns instead of one, so I need to have more than 506 HP to have a chance of winning. Plus, you still have 22M NP left over, which you could use to improve HP so 57 damage isn't close to half your health.

If you're interested in increasing your stats using items in order to do it quickly, check out our Item Training Guide and our Negg Training Guide at the Battlepedia. It has recommendations for increasers for each stat.

This time, I decided to fight one opponent until I was sure I had truly exhausted the available items I could get from it. I picked on Balthazar because he was trivial to beat on Hard. The listing below includes NP and items from each battle, along with rarity, estimated value, and any other notes that occurred to me.

    Balthazar, Rattling Cauldron, Hard

    Battle 1:
    300 NP
    Bri Codestone (R40, V1464)

    Battle 2:

    Orn Codestone (R40, V2056)
Gigantic Balthazar Plushie (R90, V4300, challenger themed)

    Battle 3:
    300NP
Pumpkin Slice (R73, V1134, arena themed)

    Battle 4:
    300NP
    Item Limit

    Battle 5:
    300NP

    Battle 8:

    Battle 9:
    Vo Codestone (R40, V1987)

    Battle 10:
Large Grundo Toe With Lint Side Order (R74, V2456, arena themed)

    Battle 11:
    Orn Codestone (R40, V2056)
Haunted Hummus (R84, V1217, arena themed)

    Battle 12:
    Kew Codestone (R101, V0)

    Battle 13:
    Bri Codestone (R40, V1464)

    Battle 14:
    Item Limit

    Battle 15:
    Item Limit

    Battle 16:
    Vo Codestone (R40, V1987)

    Battle 17:
Zombie Marshmallows (R82, V1472, arena themed)
Zombie Marshmallows (I did not see this appear as a reward; it just appeared in my inventory. It's also the 15th and last item I received--there could be a glitch that duplicates the last prize, or something of the sort.)

I fought Balthazar 5 more times after this, to be sure that was all I would get from him. Then I fought the Lava Ghoul on Medium in the Pango Palladium 5 times to see if I got anything there. I got zilch from any of those fights.

    Preliminary conclusions:

    1) My 15-item overall cap seems to be holding. After receiving 15 items, I got nothing in 10 additional matches.

    2) There are 3 obvious categories of items in my results: Codestones (reds may be separate), Arena-themed food, and Challenger-themed items. I believe it is possible to get one of each in a single fight, but I did not see that happen today.

    3) If there is a per-category limit, it's at least 6 (I got 6 spooky foods and 6 regular codestones). More likely, there is no category cap, just the 15 total cap.

    4) You can get item limit messages and still get more items from that challenger.

Revised hypothesis: there are additional categories that the game is selecting from, but which cannot be awarded for fighting the challenger. This produces an empty result, for which it is incorrectly displaying an "Item Limit" message. It could be that there are categories reserved for more difficult challengers, or it could just something like selecting themed items for the wrong arena or challenger.

Regardless, it's obviously bugged. I suggest that you keep fighting until you get 15 items.
