I'm not a big fan of the AC, but if they're changing the rules, that makes me a little bit more excited! I don't really know what to expect, but if they can give cheaters a hard time, I'll be happy :)

Apologies - I forgot to cancel my other requests and my challenge has been completed. However, it's probably best if you're trying to get the stamp. We completed Abigail's challenge, and were awarded the cocktail instead.
 
Other people seem to have completed Abigail's challenge and missed out on the stamp too. Is this the way it's supposed to be, or is there a TNT mixup going on somewhere?

Ah I'm so pleased with myself @.@ My record high score for Carnival of Terror was 320, but now I scored 508 and beat AAA. It's not an avatar score (which I want to do a lot...), but it's definitely an improvement for me!

Ooh! This might be my first time making it all the way through one of these! I'm glad I have you guys for a guide; this time the easier challenge had the prize I wanted: nifty book!
But, I realized after I clicked her that she'd said something about no changing minds... can I pick a different challenger each day, or am I stuck with her now?
 
Edit: AH! Spyke's post came in as I was typing mine. Well, nice to know I can choose a different one each day. I almost lament that I won't get gold now, but I don't think I could beat him every day anyway. And... I wanted the book. O-o
 
 

Definitely glad to have suspicions confirmed as far as trophies go, and glad that someone tested out the score then challenge option.

I heard that gold trophy is for beating AAA every challenge, silver for completing all challenges and at least one being AAA, bronze for beating all Abigail, and participant for completing a challenge.
 
I like the Daily Dare, but sometimes it's pretty frustrating lol. Today wasn't so bad, though. I feel like I probably could have gotten AAA's score (my high score is about 18500), but I wasn't willing to invest the time so I challenged Abigail. I'll try to beat AAA on something else.

It's been a few years since the Daily Dare has been an event on Neopets so here is a refresher on a few frequently asked questions.
 
 

 
Double Dare Challenges
Through the event, TNT will also select some of the daily challenges to become Double Dares.
 
TNT hasn't released the exact dates, but state there will occur "once or twice a week" throughout the event.
 
There should be at least 4, and perhaps as many as 6. If you choose to accept the Double Dare then you must challenge and beat AAA's score for that particular game - if you do, then you will receive both AAAs and Abigail's prizes for that day.
 
However you must complete the Double Dare on the day it is released, otherwise you get nothing!
 
In the event that you would only be able to beat or match Abigail's score for that day, you would be eligible to receive her tier final prizes, but you still would not get any prizes for that day.
 
If you don't feel you can beat AAA's score for a Double Dare, then you do not have to accept this challenge and can play the Daily Dare as you normally would. There is no penalty if you choose to not accept a double dare. :)
 
Team Challenges
In this newer type of challenge, Neopians have the opportunity to team up with one of their Neofriends to earn another bonus prize.
 
The team challenges are scheduled to be released every Friday and to last throughout the weekend. To be eligible for the Team Challenge bonus prize, you and your Neofriend must both challenge AAA or Abigail and beat their score before the following Monday.
 
If you chose to Take the Team Challenge but don't invite someone to play with you, you will still be eligible for the regular AAA or Abigal prizes for that day, including the bonus if you complete the challenge before midnight NST.
 
Note that the Challenger you select for Friday's challenge will be your challenger for the team challenge.
 
You are only allowed to complete the Team Challenge with one neofriend. You may not complete it multiple times with different friends. However, you are allowed to send up to 5 invitations to friends asking them to join your team. The first one to accept will become your partner for the challenge. If a friend rejects your invitation, you may then send out another.
 
Trophy Requirements
Gold - Beat or match AAA's score in each challenge of the Daily Dare. Silver - Beat AAA's score at least once and complete all the challenges before the end of the Daily Dare. Bronze - Beat or match Abigails's score in each challenge of the Daily Dare. Participation Medal - Complete one or more challenges during the Daily Dare.  
Can I get the score, THEN accept my dare?
As of right now, that looks like a yes.

In all my years on Neopets, I have never participated in the Daily Dare. There has been some chatter on the "Help" Neoboard about dialogue between AAA and Abigail, when visiting Roo Island:
 
Day 1 -
 
"Abigail : There you are! I thought you were going to break your last record."
"AAA : Huh?"
'Abigail: Last month, you went 10 days without stepping out of your room. If you waited until tomorrow you could've made it to 11."
"AAA: Hmm"

So, was the last DD two years ago? Is this what "an old favourite may make a re-appearance" is referring to? Has anyone heard anything else?
 
EDIT: 11 Apr 16 - Added Day 3 and Day 4 dialogue. Looks like DD is going to happen, this year!

I.... I like Shoryus, but I do not like this. To me, Polka Dot in general is a bit of a flop color and I never really enjoy it, but I actually actively dislike this one :c

I picked the Chocolate Negg today and I got the Chocolate Cybunny plushie, which I really wanted for no good reason XD It'll get chucked into my SDB, but I just like it.

I am so excited!! I just got an Aethia Stamp as a random event!! I can barely believe it, I had to share the news haha :)

Well I like it. It reminds me of Fawn from the Tinkerbell series.

I'm so excited! I always love this event~ It's so nice to get increased chances for FFQs and stat increases.

I have, historically, been a fan of JumpStart. I played their video games growing up, the same as I have played Neopets. Because of their historical successes (at least in my mind), I was looking forward to the fresh ideas and maybe giving a "jump start" to the Neopets community. I feel like they still have these new concepts and potential in boosting the success of Neopets. Maybe re-introducing merchandising and publicity, but I also feel that all of the troubles during the transition have been preventing them from enacting any of these new ideas. They have thrown little events at us to sort of pacify us while they sort out the bigger problems behind the scenes. While I'm not satisfied by these little events (though I am grateful for them), I do think that solving the bigger problems first is the right move. You can't have a huge plot going down when you can't even keep the site up and running. So once everything smooths out and they get the behind the scenes work done, I feel that potential is still there. But it is disappointing that it is simply taking so long to do these maintenance-type and reparation-type items. Many active players are getting discouraged and are leaving simply due to the time frame which this has taken and is taking.

This is really exciting! Even if I can't afford it, I'll be looking at how the transformations go :3

Hey guys, I don't want to seem like a wet blanket here, because giveaways are super fun, but I should caution you on some things:
 
TNT strictly prohibits giveaways and prize pools (asking/giving donations so more things can be won) because in the past a lot of people have been scammed through this. The contest organizer simply vanishes with the prizes and there's nothing they could do about it, so they prohibited it completely. 
 
Now I'm not saying TaffyTaffyYumYum will scam you out of your hard-earned donations, but here are a few things to remember:
1) Don't mention giveaways/prize pools in NeoMail & Neopets in general
2) Be cautious and don't send out stuff you can't do without
3) Should you wish to donate something, my advice would be to hold on to your items and wait until winners are announced, and send it to them directly. This eliminates the risk of your prize not getting to the winner :) 
 
We've held many successful giveaways in the past, and would like to continue to do so! Giveaways are great and the generosity of people is incredible, but please remember to keep safe!

I always love the Advent Calendar. It brings me back to neopets even when I was on hiatus. I'm pretty pleased about the prizes for today too!
