IrishLiz - Again thanks! I'm just hoping to make enough to help me on my way to the Royal PB.

I managed to get the final couple of items for my packrat today, and also managed to get the taunt the Pant Devil avie in the same breath by taking everything out of my SDB! This does however mean that I am now selling everything off - I'm aiming to get enough for the Royal PB from the Hidden Tower so if anyone wants to pop by my shop all is good!

 

And I promise you it's not all junk in there!!!

I've completed the Packrat avatar so I have shop which I am constantly updating. Some of it is the cheap stuff associated with packrat but there is also trading cards, food, BD stuff, clothing, plushies, toys and collectables. I try to stay under all SW prices however I'm willing to negotiate if anyone wants something and it's too expensive.

 

If I'm honest, I just want to get rid of the stuff!

I gave up on Better than You because I couldn't do it and now I wasn't trying I got it!!!

I really don't understand why people would quite if they are going to get silver because just because you get the key doesn't mean you have to use it. You can only cash in on 10 a day but you can earn as many as you want. I suppose its just vindictive of them not wanting the other person to get a gold.

 

Particularly as they would get the np anyway - which I find is between 700-1500np and possibly more. But it's annoying because the prizes for silver aren't bad considering you usually get a codestone! Granted gold is better, but we can't win all the time! (Coming from someone who has 8 golds and about 24 silvers!)

Unhappiness on the other hand is having an annoying amount of people quit on you in Keyquest until you are seconds away from throwing your laptop across the room!

Yep, my only issue is that because it neopets I have to be uber polite so I don't get banned. But it still makes me feel slightly better and possibly gets the point across! I take down the username of each player just in case! My message is more or less (depending on circumstances):

 

"I was just wondering whether you quit or whether your computer went glitchy? If it is the latter I fully understand, but I was wondering if it's the former why? We had an equal chance, and even if we didn't silver was the worst reward that either of us could have gained."

 

Then I wait for a response.

 

I know there's another topic for this but I promise I won't quite if I'm around and you want to play against me I'd be up for it. I don't really know how to invite someone to play though so hopefully I won't mess up in the attempt to accept the game if anyone is interested. Also I guess I have been pretty lucky because I haven't had that many quiters in the games that I have played.

 

If you're on when I'm on then I'll quite happily be up for a game as I am quite happy with a silver! However, i also don't know how to invite people...

 

I have had a ton of people quit on me. What i started to do was put their neo name in my google bar off to the side of the address bar. If they quit and it is an obvious, i am loosing i will quit now i just block them. Or just say hi every time and make sure they say something because if you click on it you can block people. That way if you ever run into them again the name will show up black when you say hi and you know just run now. I now have list of like 15 people i have blocked. I just find it so rude to waste 20 minutes of someone elses time because you are only going to get a silver key. Give me a break now no one gets any prizes or any of the points they earned. I haven't played in awhile, I really haven't had the time but it is a great way of earning np.

 

I do take every name down I play just in case, but I never realised you could actually block them! I've got to try that in future!

Yes! It drives me nuts. That and how badly mini-games lag for me are the main reasons I don't play keyquest very often. If it was faster and there were fewer quitters, or maybe you got an automatic win and therefore a key if someone else quit, I might play more.

 

I'm glad I'm not the only one!!! It's just so annoying and sends me round the bend. It would help if it was a reportable offence. Instead I have to be happy sending a very polite neomail inquiring whether as to whether their computer quit or they did, and if they did then why as both gold and silver give good prizes. My blood is still boiling even after winning another game against a different player!

 

EDIT: SECOND TIME TODAY FOR FREAKS SAKE. I've wandered out of KQ til tomorrow because otherwise I will just throw a hissy fit at it which will probs end with my comp being thrown across the room.

I've just started to get into Key Quest again and I have been really enjoying it. I've also been very lucky until now that I haven't had any quitters. But the last game annoyed me massively. It could have gone either way - I hoped I'd win, but I wasn't sure, it depended on the roll of the dice and the items picked up. But no, the other person quits. I'm quite happy with silver and a good game, why aren't other people!? GRRRRRR!

 

Now that I've finished ranting, anyone else annoyed massively by this???????

The High Score table resets at the beginning of every month, remember? Your score is a cumulative score that began in a different month, and is therefore ineligible for trophies in later months.

 

If you want that trophy, start doing the quest every 12 hours at midnight NST on the first of the month! as time wears on, more and more people will slip up, giving you a shot at it. That's what I'm in the process of right now... hehe

 

I've given up trying to get the high score as I can never remember when to do it and I'm not in NST time!

I don't often play because my computer finds it a little too complex and therefore lags massively! But when bored I do and it's mostly for the items as the amount of time it takes to play wouldn't be worth it for the np!

 

I should play more as the codestones are priceless as I'm training and yesterday I hit jackpot with a lab map piece worth 200k!

On colours, I'm not sure if orange would clash but if it does you could try black which is pretty and doesn't clash with anything.

A 3D online game. I've played it for a while as well, but my computer can't handle the graphics. It's quite a nice game :)

That is true. But that one week, I would get it on my first visit of the day... which made it so I couldn't do anything with it. And it was like that all day, whether I wanted 5 hours from my first visit, or 10. It was strange. Then POOF... back to normal.

 

I don't know about that then! It was probably just glitching!

I've heard that that response comes from when you visit the meteor too often (like before the hour is up if you didn't get a prize, or before the day is up if you did). That might be rumour but it's what I've heard.

That's awesome! Wow, you sure seem to have had a lucky streak lately. :) The best I've gotten is some codestones and neggs. I don't play much either.

 

What browser do you use? I have a hard time with the mini-games - they're super slow - and I can't ever win them. I'm thinking of using Safari for KQ instead to see if that will help. (I usually use Firefox).

 

Yep, most definitely!

 

I use Firefox and the games are fairly glitchy on mine as well, but it's better than Internet Explorer. The reason it's so slow is thatt it's in Beta which is a pile of junk, glitches too often and slows everything down. I have the same issue with Farmville on Facebook as that is also in Beta. But yeah, I don't think I won a single mini-game yesterday!

 

 

I am a fan of key quest as well, its usually quite enjoyable and not monotonous but sometimes the mini-games seem to lag a lot for me as well. I usually use safari but I broke down and downloaded firefox and it seems to not lag quite as much for me but it depends on the day and I suppose who I'm playing.

 

Oh also, is there a way to get unscripted chat in KQ because it always takes me forever to find anything remotely normal in the list of such odd things to choose from.

 

I don't think there is a way to get unscripted chat - I just ignore it. But I think it's there so that the under 13's can play it without there being the danger of chatting to random people! I may be wrong but I think that is the case.
