I had a similar issue with Bouncey Supreme - I was 3000 over the high score on gold, but didn't get any trophy because by the time they came out and my score had been reviewed I was well under even bronze!

aye when i said that i wasnt meaning to rain on your parade or anything. and yea im not exactly a natural hoarder myself. what happened was id bounce into the game during major events then bounce out a lot. so a lot of stuff just got crammed in my sdb in the mean time. a while back i had the goal of reaching 10m i only made it to five. then the 100np here and 1000np there started. now im down to whats left in my gallery and what little i have left in actual np.

 

thats why i said that was to point out, you've done a great thing getting your massive ammount of np. now you need to do your best to not pull a shadaw and spend it all willy nilly. and its easy done i lost quite a bit during the whole "15 new retired items" event thing a while back the pepperoni pizza slices i bought went down to like 1000np alfter the frenzy. X.X so learn from my mistake and dont spend it all willy nilly.

 

Lol, I'll struggle with that as I'm aiming for enough to get the Royal PB from the Hidden Tower, then hopefully use it as collat for the Queen Fyora Doll on the Lending Program here, then paint my darling Lupe Royal.

 

So yarrr...I now only need 30k more and I can probably earn that today! And I'll still have one hefty sum in the bank as I don't like going below my goals that I've had in the past, plus I like the interest too much!

 

But usually, unless it's plushies or gallery money I'm far better at hoarding neopoints than items, although I've had one or two impressive splurges on plushies and stamps...I seem to remember several years ago bringing my bank balance from over 2 mil to about 1000 in a couple of days. Boy oh boy did I regret that!

Sorry, I thought that if I put really detailed instructions, that people would be like "What do you think we are, idiots?! OF COURSE we know how to do this!"

Really, don't get upset on my account! I am actually an idiot as soon as it comes to computers and if I see strange words or phrases that belong to the computer world then my brain freezes! I didn't mean to get at you in any way, shape or form...I rely on my boyfriend and brother to do the computer stuff as it baffles me! But you didn't make me unhappy or peeved or anything, I am fully aware that I am just useless with computers! Don't worry.

ah i wouldnt know a thing or two about that, a while back i made FIVE MILLION cleaning out my sdb. mainly christmas items from like year five that id been holding onto for ages. the trick isnt making the np its holding onto it alfter you've got it.

 

Now that is impressive...and I was chuffed with what I had!!! Unfortunately I'm not a natural packrat...my SDB being cluttered annoys me so I get rid of things fairly quickly! I actually had to remember to hoard for packrat...and not look in my SDB too often as it would irritate me! As soon as I hit the 1000 items I got rid of them as quickly as possible!

No, it's not allowed. Trust me I wish, cause there's many NC items that I wish I could get, but I can't and I won't get NC.

 

Things like the Daily dare sometimes give away NC as does the Qasalan Expellibox very occasionally. That's how I've got any NC items I want that aren't seasonal as I also refuse to pay for them!

I gave up trying to choose as I have no preference or loyalties so closed my eyes and pointed. My finger was nearest to Lost Desert so Lost Desert it is. Does anyone know if they're a good team btw? I have no idea what the rankings and such like are but they don't seem to be as widely publicised as Maraqua or Shenkuu...

How do you keep track? haha, I just know that I've been making neopoints, but I buy and resell, and sell stuff that's been sitting in my SDB, and sometimes play games, and play the stock market... I have no idea how many neopoints come from where. :/

 

I do take money out of my shop till regularly.

 

Mainly because I'm far too obsessive for my own good! I will only take money out of my till at the end of the day when I've finished playing neopets, and for time periods when I'm actually interested in keeping track I've been noting them down in a small notebook. It's sad I know but it goes:

You can see what I mean by far too obsessive. I also have on record how much I've spent on upgrading my shop (12,600) and on my gallery (a lot more but I can't be bothered to do the maths!). Plus all of the sales over 1000np which show on sales history.

 

I think it comes down to the fact that I have to be normal in my real life so I let my obsessive side come out online!!!!

When I cleared out my SDB after I got Pack Rat I think all I made was 1500 nps.

 

It depends on what you've got in there, I had a lot of items worth between 500-1000np and quite a few items worth several thousand neopoints. I've now sold nearly everything but I still have a couple of the mid range items left and a couple at the 6-9k range

I've got the same issue on my computer - I just assumed that it would go away once I shut the comp down which I haven't done yet. I've been using the game send score pages to work out what neopoints I have as I can't see the top...

 

And Anime - I am a complete and utter loser when it comes to computers (my boyfriend had to put adblocker on for me!) So ummm...how do I actually do what you are suggesting will work. Preferably in moron computer speak because it is actually the only thing that I will understand. (And I PROMISE I am not being sarcastic, I am truly this useless with computers and completely lost with what to do!). It is for this reason that I have no way of even comprehending what Cornflakes is suggesting, but your way does sound simpler...

Wait, I lowed them not too long ago (following the SW), and the prices I have were actually LOWER than the normal average. Did they lower the average prices?? Cause I didn't know if they did.

 

I only know from my priceing of items but if you check them now alot of the items you have priced are only worth about 1np...

I'd got a fair amount of stuff from the Igloo Garage Sale which sold quite nicely, but I'd got several neggs, pieces of clothing, backgrounds, petpets and general prizes which sold surprisingly well. A piece of treasure map sold for 80k was a big plus as was the Dice Staff at 47k!

 

And Cav part of your issue might be that alot of your stuff is too highly priced. For example Coltzans Gem is only worth 1-5np, same with the snowballs, the Orange Grundo Wardrobe is only sold for 1np. You'll find it easier to sell if you go by the general SW prices.

I am quite amazed at how well I've done in clearing packrat - so far I have made 500,000np which is unbelievable!

I still haven't managed to get anything...I may have to try at different times!

Does anyone know a guide to the attic with a list of the items sold there? (or is it still too early for a reliable guide?)

 

If you keep an eye on the neopets boards there is a thread with all the timings and all of the items and prices that have been sold in each restock. I would link but I can't be bothered to go find it again!!! It's in the 'help' section of the boards though and is regularly updated so is near the top.

If anyone wants the Taunt the Pant Devil avatar I am selling 75 Golden Geraptiku Talismans in my shop at 400np each.

The Attic has a pattern of every 7 minutes, but the restock happens at 53 seconds past the minute, instead of actually at the beginning of the minute. I find I have to refresh at 54 seconds, though, to actually get see anything. Even when frantically clicking, I'm still not able to get anything.

 

Thanks I didn't realise it was 53 seconds, I've just been frantically refreshing at the minute in question! That makes it a lot easier.

It's every 7 minutes, and it does seem to stick by the pattern when it bothers to restock!

Is this annoying anyone else - figuring out what time the next restock should be but then it doesn't happen and as the next one could be at 1:30 NST it's been at least half an hour since the last restock.

EDIT: Well, it restoked - I just didnt' get anything. But it's an improvement.

In the UK drinking age is 18 and I for one wouldn't want it to change. For a start it wouldn't actually change the peoples drinking ages, it would just annoy them that they have to find someone else to buy it (and there is always someone). Secondly I have major issues with the fact that you can be married at 16, join the army at 16 and be sent to the dangerous places at 18, drive at 17 etc, and vote at 18. By the time you are 18 you have got all other rights, including the 'right' to die in our country's service and to take a part in our country's government. I cannot agree with upping the age of alcohol when the age of everything else stays the same.

 

I can remember learning in history that many US pubs had this issue after the Vietnam war when the young soldiers came back and wanted a drink but they couldn't legally serve them. Even the police at that point just said to serve them.

Hey, I have the same issue with the Empty Lantern, and it says (no trade). Anyone know what's up?

If it says no trade then that means that it can't be put in a shop either.

You'll find that if you keep refreshing something will eventually come up if it's not too expensive for SW. Even with things I find immediately I refresh at least 3 times to try to find the lowest price at which to sell or buy.

penguin8jess - Some of the junk was unavoidable like fish and things, ommlettes and jellies etc, but they do sell even if at stupid low prices. The actual junk I've just been discarding. To get up to the goal a little quicker I'd suggest the Igloo Garage Sale as most of the sale prices are far higher than the buying prices!
