It's not so much an achievement as a potential good turn. I adopted Bankskeither for the avatar, but whilst I have him in my possession, he's had a paint job and I'm boosting his stats a little to make him more adoptable. He's also been fed and watered and I'll put him back in the Neolodge before he goes back to the Pound so he'll have 28 days of relative comfort at least. It does occur to me that I may be a little too invested in the future of random pixels... then I shrug off that thought and continue as before.2 points

Avatars: What have you got?

Good shout! I'd forgotten you could do that! He's now out of the Neolodge and painted Faerie to hopefully give him a better chance in the Pound when he goes back in! I was toying between Royal and Faerie - and picked Faerie first because it was significantly cheaper with a morphing potion and secondly because the Tooth Faerie making bank with her ill gotten gains came to mind which seemed to fit the name Bankskeither!2 points -

I just bit the bullet and bid on a Candychan. 10.5 million of my hard won neopoints are now in escrow for anywhere between 2 and 8 hours. That is a ridiculous amount of neopoints to bid for a single item. I am fully aware of this and just did it anyway. My Nightsteed had better be really drattedly grateful for her shiny new petpet...1 point -
Change the language and shove the Candychan right on that pet I payed 13 Mil for my Illusen TCG1 point

The Lab Rays: What happened today?

The ray is fired at Emyjune... ... and he changes colour to Sketch!! Sketch? Where'd you go , Emyjune? It's like being a ghost without the radioactive residue and red eyes, like Ghost-light! 05/04/2021 The ray is fired at Emyjune... ... and he changes colour to DARIGAN!! Cool! Another cool collar that my 2 Aishas will now have 1 each (the Baby Aisha can't wear the different collars)! Works for me. Just your run of the mill Demon-creature feature!1 point -
The Lab Rays: What happened today?

The ray is fired at Burfin... ... and she gains 3 movement points!!!! But... nothing happens. It makes a kind of 'zzrrrppptttt' sound before shutting down completely. The creepy Kookith shoos you away and appears quite angry, so you hightail it out of there before he shoots some miniature laser beam at you or something.1 point -

How's it going, TDN?
jellysundae reacted to Duma for a topic
Hi! Welcome back to the forums! I know the feeling of getting really into things and letting them slip after a while. If I hadn't been staff here I would have taken many breaks from Neopets too for sure, having a responsibility helped me to keep at it.1 point -
I tried to explain in this post, is there a part that isn't clear? I'll try to explain better then if I know where you get stuck. Or maybe you just missed this post, and it explains it enough for you. Got 24:10 yesterday but since I don't have a lot of time and the set jkr created is basically what I would have placed I'm just going to follow jkr today: https://neofood.club/#round=8029&b=fuhebuuiebaufecauuedaffdb1 point

Avatars: What have you got?
jellysundae reacted to Secre for a topic
So I just adopted a Skeith from the Pound for the avatar and had a facepalm moment. I immediately stuck him in the Neolodge so he wasn't dying any longer... but of course, now he's not hungry and I can't get the blooming avatar! And I now feel morally responsible for the blighter as I adopted him. So I'll likely end up having to paint him to adopt out as I'll just feel guilty for dumping him back again!1 point -

My husband and I lost a very dear friend and neighbor this week. He died of Stage IV Pancreatic cancer at the age of 58 after a very short four month battle. The thing is only four people in this world knew that he had this horrible disease. He was very sick and in a lot of pain but he hid it. He didn't want people to be worried about him. He didn't want people to be sad. Whenever we asked, he had a little medical "thing" but it wasn't a big deal. That was how he was - generous and always making sure other people were taken care of. We didn't know he was as sick as he was. He died of sepsis after only two chemo treatments. It was a shock. We had waved hello to him just two days before. He smiled and waved back. We never saw him again. I'm comforted by the fact that he did have his best friend and his BF's wife with him until the end. It wasn't uncommon for them to travel down to where we live and stay for 6 months at a time, so that wasn't even a clue. We lived next door to him for over 15 years. He was the neighborhood "safe house" for our boys. We bonded over our mutual love of Halloween (the holiday). He would start planning on Nov 1st and start building 2 to 3 months ahead of Halloween. He would put up a different theme every year. He had turned his front yard into a cornfield, a graveyard and other spooky settings. He and his friends would hang out and scare all the neighborhood kids (and a few adults). Our youngest was finally at the point where he was done with trick 'r treating and we were looking forward to helping him with this year's haunt. In a flash, he was gone. I'm not posting this for sympathy. You don't always know what is going on in other people's lives - especially if they are going everything in their power to hide it from you. Life can change in a moment and someone that you love and care about can be gone. So remember to them you love them. Pick up the phone and call, because "tomorrow" might not come.0 points
