FurorPaxx
There was a time when codestones were expensive and battlers wouldn't dream of getting rid of them. Between Battledome rewards and the standard packrat mentality one develops over 15 years of playing this game, I have a ton of normal codestones that my battle pet cannot use, and there's no point training another pet (there isn't, is there?). I'm wondering if there's any point to hanging on to them. I don't particularly need to convert them; I have a decent stockpile of red codestones, and they're not very expensive anyway. The SDB doesn't limit the number of items we can hold, so I there's no need to get rid of them either. There's just something about seeing so many of them in my SDB that irks me. I also feel this way about Elixirs, Healing Potions and Battle Muffins. Is there any point in keeping them once you get a decent Battledome set? What are you guys doing with all the extra codestones you get from the Battledome? Do you hang on to them when your pet graduates to Ninja School? Do you train more than one battle pet? Which, if any, single use healing or attack items do you hang on to?
kayahtik
I'm not really that invested in the Battledome aside from using it to get the nps and prizes--and for the Obelisk war, at least until I collect all of the faction avatars--so I don't train my pets that much. None of them have graduated to Ninja School yet, so I definitely sell all of my red codestones. I haven't been training my pets at all in the last few weeks, so I've been selling my regular codestones too. It seems to me that since they've become so plentiful in the ways you mentioned, their value will only continue to decrease, so I guess I figure I might as well sell them now, and they'll probably be cheaper to buy once I actually start using them again. Not to mention it's hard to resist such a quick, easy profit. If you're not using them, I don't really see any point in keeping them. If you're sure you're not interested in training up another battle pet, it's probably best to sell them and use the nps for something else. If you think you might change your mind on the second battle pet, though, then maybe it'd be worth it to hold on to them since, like you said, there's no limit to the SDB. Aquamentis12
I know what you mean about wondering what to do with them. If I'm in dire need of a red stone and the prizes from the BD aren't "cooperating" I'll try throwing some into the Volcano on Mystery Island, see if my luck is better there. If you wanted to have a little "fun", you could sell some a little at a time and keep undercutting the current lowest prices on the Shop Wiz. I put it as "fun" because it's very frustrating being on the receiving end of that. It's only fun for one party. I guess some people watch their shops like hawks. I only check mine periodically, IF I'm trying to sell something in particular, or if I make an uncommon sale. Speaking of low-prices. You COULD auction a bunch off starting at a low price, and then hopefully people who need them can get them. Or if you're feeling really generous. You could put some up in sets of 10 (One of each) on the TP. For newbie players who need the Codestones avatar. So depending on how many spares you have and how many you want to get rid of, there are a few things you could do. Heck, you could even donate a bunch to the Money Tree if you wanted. ;) I tend to keep mine, mainly for the Volcano, or if I decide to train another pet, in case I'd ever wanna try league battling. If war breaks out, I might sell some, but I only very rarely even consider selling codestones. Well, that and I'm a bit of a pack rat. I don't look for junk, it just comes through the dailies and battles mostly. Actually, the ideas I listed above might be fun some time to try. Not the shop wiz thing, ;) lol I'm sure someone would undercut my prices, and that's always annoying. ;) I have enough trouble selling battle spoils(prizes) when I get them. I only mentioned it because it seems like people enjoy doing that kind of thing. Well, good luck dealing with all those codestones! :)
decchild
I don't really train my pet that much, so I have a lot of codestones. What I've generally done is stockpile them, but during Christmas or wishlist times on TDN, I'll put out a post asking if anyone wants codestones. If anyone PMs me and says they'd like some, I usually send them a barrage. I figure it's a fun thing to do, plus I get to make someone happy. MysteryAF
I don't use codestones hardly ever, so I typically just sell them. The neopoints are always nice.:
jellysundae
If I was in the position to get shot of a load of them I know I'd be very tempted to donate them. But I'd be very aware that if I did that, a lot of them would just end up being snapped up by people who didn't actually need them, and would sell them for 100% profit, and I'd rather they were used for training. So I think that I'd probably end up selling them myself. My M.O. for selling is to price stuff fairly (I hope!). I don't undercut because that's not helpful to the economy, but I won't price much above the lowest prices. If all the lowest prices are pretty close together, and I don't spot anyone selling big quantities, then I'll set mine at a couple of hundred above, because they should sell once all the cheaper ones are gone. If someone else is selling large amounts at a low price then I'll price-match them.
midnight_spell360
I guess I am crazy, bc I train my 5 pets and concentrate mostly on my top 3 for getting their levels, strength, defense, and endurance high gradually- in a balanced kind of way (if that makes any sense). I miss Key Quest bc that was the easiest (and a lot of fun) way to get codestones, so I usually BD every day to get them for training. Good luck with your codestones, whatever you decide to do with them. Happy Gaming everybody!

Nah, you're not crazy at all, you're just doing what feels good to you. I like the idea of all my pets being equally trained, it is very appealing.
