WhiteWolf Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Mods: I'm posting this here because I have no idea where else to put it. The Faerie Festival was supposed to have been Sunday. Usually, we Neopians see some kind of NC activity, plot, and have a better chance of getting a faerie quest. This year, it was just getting our pets health restored at the Healing Springs. Is there anything in the works, or was that it? Has anyone heard anything? Quote
Musical_Shoyru Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 If you go to the Faerie Festival page it says, "Due to, erm, unforeseen circumstances, the Faerie Festival has been cancelled. Hopefully things will be back to normal next year. For now, the faeries are all hard at work rebuilding Faerieland..." Not sure how long that message has been up there, but I was quite bummed when I found it :( http://www.neopets.com/faerieland/festival/ Songbirdsara 1 Quote
WhiteWolf Posted September 22, 2015 Author Posted September 22, 2015 Thanks for the info! Kind of a bummer that they cancelled it though. Now I'm glad I'm doing everything that I am in my guild. Quote
Mouseykins Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Last year nothing special was done for the faerie festival as well if I remember correctly. Some years they have a faerie quest event, but not all years. Also a few years ago a plot started just after the Faerie Festival. So it's not really all that unsurprising. Quote
hrtbrk Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 So many people think there is a faerie festival but there isn't and hasn't been one :P The page linked above is from a plot (The Faeries Ruin), and nothing has been canceled. It's only a theme day, similar to the chocolate ball :D sara1elo and Mouseykins 2 Quote
life_eclectic Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 My sis got a quest, so maybe it was more likely, not sure if it was coincidence. Even though the faerie festival it is to celebrate the faeries, the faerie quest event is a bigger deal, I think. That's around late February to mid March and the time you're guaranteed to get one quest per day (as long as you visit the quests page, of course). I hope they do that next year. Quote
teeniem55 Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 lame. i know thew were doing the transfer at this time last year. hopefully new content is coming. theyre probably, in all reality, getting ready for christmas. Quote
charelan Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I'm glad someone else asked this because I was really wondering too... Hmmm... if it's just a theme day perhaps 'festival' is a bit misleading ;) Oh well!! Quote
superawk Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 lame. i know thew were doing the transfer at this time last year. hopefully new content is coming. theyre probably, in all reality, getting ready for christmas. That's what I kind of figured too. Maybe this means an extra big Christmas! Quote
teeniem55 Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Yes, lets hope they're going to make Christmas spectacular and give us some really great prizes! Quote
hrtbrk Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Christmas!? What about Halloween :D The faerie festival has been titled as such for ages. I guess people just forget every year :laughingsmiley: Mouseykins and Duskitty 2 Quote
Panthersclaw Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Many people seem to mistake the faerie festival for the faerie quest event, but they happen at different dates. It's understandable that they would make that mistake. The faerie quest event happens in February-March while the Faerie festival is on September 20th. All that happens during the faerie festival nowadays is you get a free full healing at the healing springs every time you visit on that day. That link that was posted predates the faeries' ruin plot as you can see by the clouds in the background. Quote
