Why did TNT warn me?

Recommended Posts

Ok, first off, I am not mad at TNT. I just wanna know why they gave me a warning. I was on the Neoboards on a side account the other day and they gave me a warning for talking about sniffing Glittery Faerie Dust ( the stuff they sell at the Hidden Tower for 12,500,000 Neopoints) in reality, its a Battledome item and you're pet cant even sniff it. So why would TNT warn me?

Allusions to drugs, especially thinly veiled ones, simply aren't tolerated. There is a huge demographic that uses the site, and drug abuse is a large trigger issue. I've never once been warned or silenced on the boards, so I'd attest that it's quite easy to stay within the rules and still hold conversations.

Well, since there are 12 year old kids on the site they need to keep it safe for them too. And the easiest way to keep things clear and safe is to handle the same rules all over the site and to be a "little over the top" as many people think it is. If they would accept this, something that can easily be seen as a drug related sentence then where would they draw the line?

I never had problems on the boards either but I'd rather have it strict than have it unsafe for young children. (a 13 year old is still a child, some mature later then others, not to mention kids or even grown ups that have a mental disorder and have a mental age of an 8 year old with a real age of 13+ , so yes, even the ones that are allowed on the boards need some sort of protection sometimes.)

we all disagree or whine about TNT sometimes, but they do things for a reason. And if you think about it, you can understand their reasoning behind it. It's not all so strange or excessive.

Just because there are teens and adults on the site doesn't mean you should be able to reference drugs or any other inappropriate comments that do not fit the spirit of the game.

The rules are pretty simple to abide by and have been implement for a long time. If you're against them, this may not be the game for you.

I used to get warnings ALL THE TIME when I was younger, and it irritated me so badly. Someone would be sad and I'd try to help them or I'd get into philosophical/religious discussions and BOOM - warned. I'm pretty sure that's how I got an account frozen.

In any case, if you're looking for a pretty fun site where you can talk about pretty much anything you want, I'd recommend www.gaiaonline.com. It's a site geared towards teens, but there are so many people who were teens when they first joined and are now adults (like me). I've been on that site for nearly a decade, and while it isn't what it once was, it's still pretty fun to hang out and chat on. Plus they have really great events on holidays and stuff. They have been really money hungry lately, which is a bummer, but if you can ignore that it's well worth it.

Let me know if you join, and I'd be happy to help you out with a walk through or whatever. :-)

Ok. So this warning was understandable and fair. But someone tell me why I got my umpteenth silence on my main account for saying " If 70s/80s Linda Blair was in Moltara, the Tonu guard would definitely let her in the Magma pool". I said that today and got silenced. Was that really worth a silencing? What was wrong with that?
