If you really love your Pirate Krawk, I would change him to the Elephante, get the avi and then change him back.
BUT, if you would rather have a Pirate Draik (my personal choice), then change your Shoyru to the Elephante and then to a Pirate Draik.

My Aisha, Kokariia, found 20,000np at Buried Treasure! I splurged and bought a Faellie from the Faerie Petpet Shop for 19k and was relieved to find out that Faellies were going for 24k on SSW, so I did OK (I am a terrible haggler!). Then I got to add it to my Petpet Gallery!  :rock:  The other day, I managed to buy a bag of peanuts at the Food Shop for 975np and when I tried to look up it's price on SSW, couldn't find it & it wasn't on the Shopping Wizard's regular one (item not found) and then checked trades. I saw the bag of peanuts going for the lowest was 100k, so I thought, maybe I better check TDN's avatar list and see what's up with this item. Yep, a nOOb like me didn't know that you feed this to an Elephante to get an avatar.
  So now I have to get an Elephante, but I have 5 pets. I have sent the Orange Grundo to some of my sisters so they could get the Forever Orange avatar but really don't want to put her in the Pound, and I really didn't want to put any of my other pets, my Red Shoyru & Pirate Krawk (who started as a Graarl) or my adopted pets, by Maractite Aisha (she was blue but I got a reward at the end of the Faerie Festival that gave her a dip at the Rainbow Pool) & my Robot Kacheek. Then I found a Golden Elephante Morphing Potion in my SDB (I think I paid 20k in a shop for it). So I am thinking of morphing my Shoyru to be an Elephante to feed it the bag of peanuts for the avatar but I don't want him to stay an Elephante (no offense to Elephante-owners meant) and I really don't want to change my Krawk who looks like Dasher Soley from Krawk Island's Old Altador Cup Line Up. After getting the bag of peanuts and finding the Morphing potion, I went to finish my Dailies and went to Anchor Management, and the Krawken dropped...a Pirate Krawk Morphing Potion. Now, do I change the Red Shoyru into a Golden Elephante, get the avvie, and then use my Pirate Draik Morphing Potion on him OR do I change my Pirate Krawk into a Golden Elephante, get the avvie, and then change him back into a Pirate Krawk?  :rolleyes_anim:

Having to start over means getting all the little achievements again too. It kind of reminds me why I liked this game in the first place. Today I did my "first" Brain Tree quests, so I got Esophagor and Brain Tree and Battledome opponents. I even got the Tales of the Esophagor book prize. It had this whole HUGE banner for it!
 

I just found my Magma Pool time! 

I've had the page open now and then over the last three days or so, hoping to find my time. I knew for certain it didn't happen between 1600 - 1630, but other than that I was hoping to find it randomly, as remembering to go back every five minutes was, well, a bit boring. After clicking one last time for the day before closing the tab, the guard fell asleep!

Between this and getting the Lever of Doom avatar after ~3k's worth of pulls, I feel pretty lucky with this account! :D
 
ETA: After catching a glance at my counter, I just realised that I hit the 50% avatar mark today too! :D :D

I totally agree, Moonflower! I'm a total nerd/geek irl, so anything with heroes and villains usually catches my attention. :bigeyed:

The good news is, the price of the BGC has fallen dramatically from the last time we purchased, so the wait for a new one won't be as long in the event I do end up having to replace it.
 
If anyone hears of any current selling prices, please feel free to contact me. I've heard that they sell for around 50 mil now, but I could be wrong. Also, if you know of anyone selling, feel free to contact me. Since the Auction House is being annoying, it's harder to find sellers for expensive stuff.

Dang, all of these are amazing!!  Quite a few of them are spot on :D  Voting for this one is going to be hard ... Regardless of who wins, props to everyone who entered!  This might be my favorite round of the CC yet!

It's crunch time, so jumpin' on the band wagon and signing up with the Theives. Now where did that sign up sheet go? Just can't trust those Thieves with anything...

I remember I used to spend a ton of time on the Neoboards, probably more than I should have, haha. I did use to play some of the games when I first joined, but that was when Neopets was in it's early days, so most of the games were really low quality and weren't that great. However, there were a few that I was decent at (can't think of which ones they were), and I managed to get a high score on a couple games. As for avatars and rare items, I did have some of the now-retired avatars which might be considered rare nowadays (Coco Roll, I Saved Mystery Island, the Battle for Meridell avatars, etc.,) but other than that I would just end up accidentally getting avatars while going through the site, lol. For items, I did have a shop where I sold semi-valuable things like paintbrushes, but I also sold things I found cool like motes and food. So to answer your question, the Neoboards were probably my favorite thing to do, and if not that it was collecting paintbrushes and other cool items.
 
One change I've noticed would be how much this game grew in popularity even after I stopped playing. I would have definitely thought Neopet's prime would have been 11-12 years ago, but as far as I've seen, the game grew tremendously within the past 7/8 years. It's honestly crazy to see a game I played so long ago still be active. One thing I've noticed is how the graphics have changed. When I joined, all of the Neopets looked like terrible Microsoft Paint drawings, some pets even being humans. I specifically remember the Bruce species used to just be a real photograph of some man which was pretty strange. The site layout has changed a lot too since I've last played, hopefully it's a lot better now. I might make a new account just for the fun of it, haha.

I just wanted to let everyone know that the contest will be up later than usual today. I always prepare everything the night before, but last night I didn't have time and now my internet connection is acting up (I'm on my phone right now). This is something easy to fix, but I have to go out now, so I'll have to do everything when I get back. Hopefully that will be no later than 2pm NST. Then the contest will be up as normal :)

Well, I used to beat up Jelly Chia, I think even before we started collecting prize data from the opponents. Why? He has 2 stamps an a book that you can only get through beating him.  Here's his profile link if anyone is curious.

I used to use my Leaf Shield, Hanso Charisma Charm for battle, and the An Icicle faerie ability (for a little extra damage). The NICE thing about that combo is this. Jelly Chia's weapons are almost ALL Water, Physical and Earth. The ONLY exception is his Evil Snowball. A pet with equal or greater defense in their stats compared to their offense, will block a good deal of, if not all damage from Jelly Chia. I used the Dual-Duty of Hanso Charisma Charm to not only defend dark icons, On the CHANCE he'll use his Evil Snowball. And the charm does 10 icons of damage. Kind of weak offense, but my pet got through those battles without getting injured at all. Which was the point. LOL My pet was much weaker back then though, now I can 1-shot him. Although, he's not very strong, a medium leveled pet should be able to beat him in 2 moves with the use of the items and strategy I mentioned above. ;)
 
The stamps don't sell for nearly as much as they used to, the book was worth about 16k, now it's at 10k. Not BAD of course. LOL
 
I originally thought the nature of this topic was What Weapon would you love to have from a 1p opponent. It's 4:30am for me, so I must've just misread it because I'm tired. That being said, IF there was 1 weapon I could steal and keep, it would be Prismatic Mirror. During the Obelisk War, my faction fought Envy. I stole his Prismatic Mirror a number of times, and it was OH SO SATISFYING to send most or all of his damage BACK at him!! It also was fun, being able to stand up to a boss opponent for a few extra turns! ;) Sadly, stealing is still not working in the BD. And MORE unfortunately, Prismatic Mirror is ONLY available to the 1p opponents. I doubt it will EVER be available to we Neopians. :(
 
Although, the only Icon that cannot be reflected is Physical. So having a Shield that defends Physical, PLUS Prismatic Mirror, would be one HARD combo to stop! (In this case, I'd probably pair it with an Altadorian Swordbreaker), Which does a measly 6 earth icons, but blocks ALL physical!
 
Next time there's a war plot and an opponent has a Prismatic Mirror, and IF Stealing is fixed in the BD by then, that would be a really interesting combination to try out! :D

Ah! Thank you.  I guess they aren't earth shattering prizes, but they interest me because I've not seen a lot of those items before AND it is proof that there actually are prizes to be won (which I was beginning to doubt.  I thought it was just some giant hoax, lol.)

Hmmm, it often depends on how much time I have as to which of the dailies I do.  I prioritise, I guess, but there are a few that I just never do.  There was a stage where I wasn't doing Apple Bobbing Bart because I'd got the pip with him after having a run of very bad luck and losing items and np with him and then pet health and that was the final straw.  I've literally only started doing that daily again in the last couple of days after not doing it for six months or so. 
 
I don't do the Wheel of Extravagance, as I'm not that extravagant yet, nor do I do the Wheels of Monotony or Misfortune as I have those avvies.  I don't do the soup kitchen as I have too much money for that.  I don't do Battleground of the Obelisk anymore as I have those avvies.  I don't do scratchcards as I'd rather sell any I happen to come across for guaranteed money rather than the off chance I might get something.
 
It's interesting to hear that anybody does Guess the Marrow.  I always do it but I've never heard of anybody winning it and I wondered if I was the only one still doing it.  I don't do Count Von Roo now that I have the avvie, and same goes for Hide n Seek.  I don't do Potato Counter very often at all and I can't remember the last time I bothered with the crossword.
 
I'm very selective about the Pay & Win dailies that I do.  I agree with the person above who said they've never seen anything at Smuggler's Cove and I gave up on that one.  Generally, I only do Garage Sale, Buried Treasure, Coconut Shy, and sometimes the Wishing Well, Dice-A-Roo, and the Faerie Caverns.  I know there are a few others in that section that give you avatars, but they're on my To Do list for the future.  And I do have a share portfolio, although I don't buy stocks every day because I only buy the 15np ones and if there are none available when I go there, I tend to forget to go back and check later.
