Part 2: The Quest for the Things by Sheepit

JumpStart and his friends look stunned! They can't believe that someone stole their pizza!
 
Designer: I can't believe someone stole our pizza!
 
Artist: You doofus, the narrator just said that!
 
Sheepit: Quit destroying the fourth wall, lets destroy the pizza thief instead!
 
JumpStart: I dunno, I'd rather not get my hands dirty...
 
?????: Enough bickering! You clumsy mortals will never see your pizza again!
 
Everyone looks in shock. Suddenly, they see something completely unexpected!
 

 
They all let out a gasp!
 
?????: Fooools! You will never defeat me! Meet me at the dome that's sticky, a dome filled with energy! Across all Neopian lands, only one knows its solution!
 
YurbleFan57: Who are you and what do you want from us?
 
?????: I am Ptauronos 589D, better known as Ptauronos! If you do not defeat me and my riddle, you will never see your precious Neopets website again! Muahahaha.....
 
Suddenly, Ptauronos disappears into thin air! The gang looks very puzzled.
 
Artist: Hmmmm... what do you think it could mean by "the dome that's sticky, a dome filled with energy"?
 
Designer: Yes, and he also said "only one knows its solution". What could he mean by that?
 
Sheepit: I'm not sure, but a good place to start would be Finneus. He seems to be pretty wise!
 
JumpStart: Then it's settled! Lets all teleport to Altador, defeat that crazy purple smoke, and save Neop-
 
YurbleFan57: Where did my beer go?! I brought a 6 pack over here just for me and now it's missing!!!
 
Designer: Wow, looks like Ptauronos got a little thirsty!
 
YurbleFan57: That little sneak! I will destroy Ptauronos ten times as hard for this!!!
 
JumpStart: Okay, everybody in the teleporter!
 
Suddenly, they teleport to Altador seeking the answer to the riddle.
 
Designer: I have to go to the bathroom!
 
JumpStart: You meathead, why didn't you go before I teleported us here?!
 
Designer: Well, I didn't want to interrupt anyone...
 
JumpStart: OH FOR CRYING OUT- *pauses for a few seconds* Keep it together JumpStart, you need to watch your anger...
 
Artist: *sighs* Fiiine, I will take them to the bathroom. We will catch up with you three later.
 
The artist and the designer head off to the bathroom outside of the coliseum while JumpStart, Sheepit, and YurbleFan57 enter Finneus' room.
 
Finneus: Wow, 2 earthly humans and an earthly sheep! I can't say that I've seen that before. Except from in my books, that is.
 
Sheepit: Baaaa baaa bbaa- *cough cough wheeze* Excuse me. We came from Earth in hopes of solving this riddle.
 
Finneus: Well don't be shy, tell me what the riddle is!
 
Sheepit clears her throat and reads out what she heard.
 
Sheepit: "Meet me at the dome that's sticky, a dome filled with energy! Across all Neopian lands, only one knows its solution!"
 
Finneus: Hmmm... that is quite the conundrum. This is a bit out of my area of help. Perhaps my nephew Leonard would be able to solve this!
 
JumpStart: Leonard? Do you mean the Lenny Conundrum Wizard?
 
Finneus: Why of course, but he also has a name... that most seem to have forgotten. He would definitely be of help!
 
YurbleFan57: Fantastic then! Lets head off to meet Leonard!
 
They walk out the door in hopes of finding Leonard. A moment later, Finneus remembers something.
 
Finneus: Oh fiddlesticks, I forgot I had this book on solving riddles! Why must I be so forgetful...
 
Unfortunately, the gang was already out of the room and didn't hear Finneus. They continue on their way.
 
Sheepit: Wait, we can't just leave the artist and designer in Altador, we must go back to get them!
 
JumpStart: Ah yes, it would be such a shame if they couldn't make another butthole cactus item. I mean seriously, it's one of the most hideous things I've ever seen! What were they possibly thinking when they created that monstrosity! It looks like the Sarlacc pit! I don't think I've ev-
 
YurbleFan57: Quit blabbering on about the prickly cactus bum, lets go get the artist and designer!
 
JumpStart, being the extremely lazy company that they are, decides to teleport to the bathroom even though they are 500 feet from it.
 
Sheepit: Hey, why haven't you fixed Key Quest yet? Lots of people loved that game!
 
Unfortunately JumpStart couldn't hear Sheepit while they were whizzing over to the bathroom (no pun intended).
 
Designer: Better I feel indeed. Lets regroup with the mortals...
 
Artist: You don't sound like yourself... Are you sure you didn't drink those beers?
 
Designer(???): Uhhh... sorry about that. It would benefit us if we found our friends...
 
Artist: Whatever you say, weirdo.
 
Suddenly the rest of the gang appears in front of them.
 
Artist: How great it is to see you guys again! I think the designer is already starting to go crazy.
 
Designer(???): No, my current emotion level is "fine"...
 
Artist: ...Whatever. Did you guys figure out the riddle?
 
JumpStart: Finneus told us to go speak to his nephew Leonard the Lenny Conundrum Wizard.
 
Artist: Well lets not dillydally! Off to meet Leonard.
 
JumpStart: Alright. Let me just- huh?
 
Sheepit: What's wrong? Is everything okay?
 
JumpStart: The teleporter ran out of battery! We're gonna have to walk.
 
Meanwhile on a nearby bench, a old Yurble overhears them and tries to help them.
 
Yurble Elder: Walk you say? I say nonsense! Take my Chia Clown Car, as I am too old to drive nowadays.
 
YurbleFan57: Oh my gosh it's a Yurble! I am such a fan! I wish I had 57 of them...
 
Yurble Elder: Calm down mister, I said you could have my car! Now I'm going back to sleep on this bench.
 
Designer(???) Where might we find your device of vehicular transport?
 
Yurble Elder: You mean my clown car? It's right over there. It might not work so good anymore though, it's been in the hot sun for years.
 
The Yurble Elder falls fast asleep on the bench. The gang tries to start the car, but it won't seem to start.
 
Artist: Oh great, could this trip get any worse?
 
Sheepit: Calm down, we just need to JumpStart the car! Look in the trunk for jumper cables.
 
Artist: *opens the trunk* YEEOW! A huge spring whacked me in the face! I guess it is a clown car...
 
JumpStart: Nobody cares about your face! Are the jumper cables in there?
 
Artist: Yeah, here they are! ...Wow, there's a lot of weird stuff in this trunk. Why Would a Yurble Elder need so many pictures of Rainbow Doughnuts?
 
The artist gets over the contents of the trunk and attaches the jumper cables. They try to start the car, and it works!
 
Designer(???): Splendid... Now lets go solve that handsome smoke's riddle...
 
JumpStart drives the whole gang to Leonard's place. They are within one mile when they suddenly run out of gas.
 
YurbleFan57: These Chia Clown Cars run on clown laughter! We'll never get there in this thing!
 
Sheepit: Well we have hooves and feet for walking, lets just walk there!
 
Artist: But my legs hurt! It was so cramped in that clown car!
 
JumpStart: Oh quit your complaining! That is so typical of you to say!
 
Sheepit: Well we won't get there any faster if you guys keep-
 
Designer(???): Gah, ENOUGH! I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!! Why must you fools bicker so much?!
 
Sheepit: Wait a minute! Fools... bicker... You must be Ptauronos! I had a feeling when you called us mortals, but now I'm certain!
 
Ptauronos: Wow, aren't you quite the detective! That's right, I possessed this fool while he was going to the bathroom!
 
Sheepit: How could you do such a thing?! That is mighty low, even for you!
 
Ptauronos: Well I was gonna use his vessel to fight you guys with as it is mighty difficult to fight you in my gaseous state, but forget it! I will find a different vessel to absorb! I can't bear pretending to be the stupid designer anymore!
 
Ptauronos frees himself from the designer and the designer regains control of his body!
 
Designer: Woah, what happened? Last thing I remember, I was using the restroom... Ah whatever, at least I'm okay now.
 
JumpStart: The sick evil Ptauronos overtook you and pretended to be you after you went to the bathroom!
 
Designer: ...Yeah, that totally happens. There's nothing unusual about that!
 
Sheepit: Ptauronos, what is your prob- oh, he's gone. Well we can't let all of Neopia collapse, lets go walk to Leonard!
 
With the designer reunited with his body, the gang travels to finally meet Leonard. Will they find the answer to his riddle?
 
YurbleFan57: If I don't get a beer in me soon, I might collapse! There's not a drop of alcohol in Neopia!
 
Artist: Why must you constantly be drunk? When I met you in college you said you never wanted to drink beer!
 
YurbleFan57: I said a lot of things back then. Now lets hurry it up already, there's too much blood in my alcohol stream!
 
JumpStart: No need for hurrying, we are already here! Hey Leonard!
 
Conundrum Wizard: Buh-whaa? Someone remembers my name? I was hoping everyone forgot.
 
Sheepit: Don't you like your name?
 
Conundrum Wizard: Hardly... call me Conundrum Wizard instead, I don't want everyone calling me Leonard!
 
Artist: Well we came seeking you after Finneus said you were good at solving riddles. Do you think you could solve the riddle?
 
Conundrum Wizard: Of course I can, but what is the riddle?
 
Sheepit: If I remember correctly, they said "Meet me at the dome that's sticky, a dome filled with energy! Across all Neopian lands, only one knows its solution!"
 
Conundrum Wizard: Hmm... well when they said "only one knows its solution", they must have meant me! That is so flattering!
 
JumpStart: Yeah Yeah, we all know how amazing you are. What is the answer to the riddle?
 
Conundrum Wizard: The dome that's sticky. Sticky like... Neocola! A dome filled with energy... they must mean the caffeine in Neocola!
 
Designer: So what does that mean, my bearded acquaintance?
 
Conundrum Wizard: A dome filled with Neocola, it is so clear to me! They wants you to meet at the Neocola Dome!
 
JumpStart: Of course, it makes so much sense! Thanks a lot, Conundrum Wizard!
 
Conundrum Wizard: Sure, anytime. if you ever need anyth-
 
Sheepit: Bring back Lenny Conundrum! I want another bronze trophy!
 
Conundrum Wizard: Oh how I would love to, unfortunately there's too many bugs here. Little bugs called Petpetpets. They are in a swarm, a Petpetpet Swarm, if you will! It's just too hard to concentrate with those here.
 
JumpStart: I have a repellent that would send those critters crawling for the hills, but it's not my highest priority.
 
YurbleFan57: Is your highest priority unfreezing my little brother TimmyUsul24?
 
JumpStart: I would love to help him, but I haven't read his ticket yet! We are so very behind...
 
YurbleFan57: I'd say, he submitted a ticket 7 months ago!
 
Sheepit: Don't worry JumpStart, I know you're trying your best. Can we go to the Neocola Dome now?
 
Conundrum Wizard: Yes, please do. You are making this very awkward for me.
 
Artist: One more thing, can you tell these jerks that the Yooyu Cactus isn't a butthole?
 
Conundrum Wizard: Oh, you guys haven't realized? They are shrunken Sarlacc pits covered in pink fluff and thorns! They were adjusted to look like the shape of a Yooyu.
 
Designer: I don't know about that, it looks more like a butthole to me...
 
Artist: Well at least I don't act like a butthole! I spent half an hour drawing that!
 
JumpStart: Don't you think you could've made it green? Since when can a cactus be pink?
 
Sheepit: You know if it was green, I wouldn't even think that it looks like a butthole! It would actually resemble a cactus.
 
Designer: I can't believe you turned my item into a monstrosity.
 
Artist: Sorry for trying to draw a unique item, I guess I should look for a different job.
 
JumpStart: Do you think another job wants you to draw a pig's butt covered in porcupine quills?
 
YurbleFan57: You probably drank my beer too! I knew I couldn't trust the artist!
 
Conundrum Wizard: I have a conundrum for you. Why won't these 5 people leave my presence? I don't think I can even solve that one!
 
After making the Conundrum Wizard upset, the gang decides it would be best to go to the Neocola Dome. They finally arrive and encounter Ptauronos, aka The Pizza Thief
 
JumpStart: Okay Ptauronos, we have come to defeat you!
 
Ptauronos: Of course you clumsy mortals WOULD forget to bring a weapon! All you have with you is some lousy gift item!
 
JumpStart: This "lousy gift item" just so happens to be an equippable weapon! I have no idea why it's labeled as a gift item.
 
YurbleFan57: Isn't the designer in charge of categorizing the items?
 
Designer: Well, I uh...
 
Artist: Aha, so the designer got something wrong! And you were all making fun of my drawing when the Designer messed up the very same day!
 
Sheepit: Will you two stop fighting? We should be fighting againt Ptauronos, not each other!
 
JumpStart: The little talking sheep is right! Everyone equip your Claw Gloves!
 
Sheepit: I told you a thousand times at the shop that I can't equip them! I have hooves. HOOVES! Not hands!
 
JumpStart: Those neopoints are coming out of your bank account Sheepit. You should've spoken up!
 
Sheepit: I did speak up, you wouldn't listen to one of your users! How typical of you, JumpStart!
 
Ptauronos: The foolish mortals are attacking each other verbally! *bursts out cackling* This will be as easy as Dung Pie!
 
Ptauronos flashes his weapon to them in his new vessel, which looks exactly like the one they saw back at the party.
 
Ptauronos: My weapon, the Ptauronos Dagger, does 38 icons of damage! Good luck avoiding this!
 
Designer: I don't remember making that weapon... That does more icons than a Super Attack Pea!
 
Trading Post Haggler: I'll give you 5 million neopoints for that item!
 
Ptauronos: You cheapskate, this is more powerful than a Super Attack Pea, which goes for around 500 million neopoints! That offer is an insult!
 
Trading Post Haggler: 5.5 million neopoints?
 
Ptauronos knocks out the Trading Post Haggler with one swift blow from the Ptauronos Dagger!
 
Artist: Good riddance, those hagglers bug me so much!
 
Designer: That's the one action from Ptauronos that I actually approve of!
 
Trading Post Haggler: Urk... So much pain... I'll give you 50 neopoints for a Cooling Ointment...
 
Guard 1: Alright buddy, you're out of health. I'm going to have to ask you to leave.
 
Guard 2: I recommend going to the Healing Springs, you might get fully healed there for free.
 
The Trading Post Haggler crawls off to the Healing Springs. They can now resume the fight!
 
Ptauronos: Can't you mortals go 10 seconds without interrupting me?! Okay Sheepit, you go first.
 
Sheepit: Why on earth would you make me battle first? I told you I don't have a weap-
 
Suddenly, the audience hears a loud slash. Sheepit is knocked out.
 
Designer: Stupid sheep, ewe ruined everything! Hahahaha...
 
Artist: Don't you mean Baa-hahaha?
 
The designer and artist both laugh very loudly. They are too distracted to fight at the moment.
 
JumpStart: Clearly if I want something done, I have to do it myself! Hwaaah-
 
Ptauronos blocks all the icons with his Ptauronos Shield, then slashes JumpStart to the floor!
 
JumpStart: Oog... Urgh... don't.. let me.. urgh... down.
 
Guard 1: Lets go pal, you won't heal yourself lying on the floor.
 
Guard 2: Boy do I love my job!
 
Designer: Artist, I'm up next! You've got to think of something because I'm going to get clobbered!
 
Artist: I don't know... what should I do to help us win?
 
Designer: Use what I taught you about designing, then draw yourself a weapon and shield! I believe in you!
 
Artist: I don't know Designer, I'm so under-confident... I could never be that helpful.
 
Designer: Don't let anything bring you down! If you set your mind to it, anything is possible! I know you can do it, you are one of the smartest people I know!
 
The artist starts shedding tears. Nobody had ever believed in her like that before.
 
Designer: I know you will defeat me Tauronos, but just know that over there is one of the strongest and bravest people I know. She will show you what true power is!
 
The designer tries to attack Ptauronos with the Claw Gloves, but the Ptauronos Shield takes the entire hit! The swift attack from the Ptauronos Dagger knocks him 10 feet backwards.
 
Guard 1: Wow, that chump with the Rainbow Doughnut on their head Mop 'n' Bopped the floor with you!
 
Guard 2: They wish! Nobody can mop as good as that orange Yurble!
 
YurbleFan57: It's true, he's really incredible at mopping! I should know...
 
Artist: Oh gosh, what am I supposed to do...
 
YurbleFan57: Listen, I overheard what the designer said before he got knocked out. I can tell that he really cares about you... I might not be the best one to take advice from, but I think it would be great if you could prove him right and find a way to defeat this thing!
 
Artist: Yeah, you're right... *wipes away tears* I can't let this beast destroy a community of kind-hearted people!
 
The artist begins drawing a weapon and shield to defeat Ptauronos with. They think of a very thoughtful design and make them as powerful as they can.
 

 
Ptauronos obliterates YurbleFan57 the same as it did to the other three. The artist prepares by inhaling and exhaling. She is ready to fight for all of Neopia.
 
Ptauronos: You are each as weak as the last! None of you could have ever stood a chance against me! Nobody in all of Neopia! Nobody!
 
Artist: Think again! It's time to bring justice to everyone! Get wrecked, foggy scum!
 
Ptauronos scoffs and lunges his Ptauronos Dagger at the artist.
 
Ptauronos: What is this?! It didn't do any damage! How is that possible!!! You should be weeping on the floor!
 
Artist: I'll tell you how it's possible... A person very special to me believed in me.
 
The artist doesn't waste any more time. She attacks them with the Designer's Justice with all of her might. It shatters the foggy being's Ptauronos Shield and slashes at the vessel!
 
Ptauronos: Uurgh, huh, wha-OWWWWW! I have been defeated! How could this happen??
 
Ptauronos falls to the ground, defeated. They disintegrate into nothingness and the body of Doughnutboy is revived. The artist was successful thanks not only to the confidence given to her by the designer, but by her amazing courage to stand up to the foul beast! She immediately heads to Faerieland where the others are healing up. To her surprise, she sees something she doesn't expect.
 
Huge Crowd: Wooooo!!! Way to go!!! You did it!!! You saved Neopia!!! You saved the Faeries!!! We are so grateful!!!
 
She turns her head and sees Fyora! She can't believe it!
 
Queen Fyora: You saved our lands, you found a way to overcome the odds and defeat the evil being! For that, everyone in Neopia is forever grateful!
 
Artist: Wow, thanks Fyora... Anything to protect Neopia!
 
Designer: Hey there, Artist... I knew you could do it! I'm so proud of you... <3
 
The artist sheds a tear and hugs the designer. They truly mean a lot to each other.

Wow, when I wrote this, I didn't think it would be so emotional! I'm tearing up from my own story! *sniffles* c:
 
Now that I've read both of the parts of the story again, I've thought about turning this into a thread! What do you guys think? :D

I thought that the Claw Gloves are not wearable or able to be equipped? Have you seen the thread: Altador Cup Prize Shop Open ? Can you verify if the Claw Gloves can be equipped? Do go and read Sheepit's delightful story about the Claw Glove, if you haven't already, and it includes jellysundae's take on the pink yooyu cactus prize as well! ;)

Angelo, it is awesome!! But I sent you a present to add to your wildly demented gallery (and I mean this in a good- not negative way). You have to add the Yooyu cactus and read the thread: Altador Cup Prize Shop Open and...", particularly jellysundae's posts & Sheepit's amazing backstory about the oddity I sent you to add to "Things that live in a closet"! Great work, wonderfully creative. Inspires me to want to do more with my own Gallery...hmmm. Oh, but that hard to write html code stuff...ah well. We will see. ;)

@Wildbreeze & anyone else worried about wanting to go for a big prize but not able to get the "smaller" prizes, you could just wait til the prizes 'drop' in the shops-say 2-3 months but definitely don't try to pick up these smaller prizes right before ACXII. ;) I probably will go for at least 1 stamp (maybe 2) and then take on double of those team armors-are they BD items like the shields were? they are not pretty either (& I'm being kind). :medieval:

Most of what I want is cheap and I have 8k to spend. I could get a second AC stamp and sell/trade you for it. You can check out my wishlist in the button in my signature. PM me if you'd like to make a deal. I've received similar kind offers for event stamps that I've just missed so it's time I pay it forward to someone else who missed out. :)

Wow, I'm amazed at how much some of the items cost!! I thought I played a ton but apparently not lol. 

I don't really train my pet that much, so I have a lot of codestones. 
 
What I've generally done is stockpile them, but during Christmas or wishlist times on TDN, I'll put out a post asking if anyone wants codestones. If anyone PMs me and says they'd like some, I usually send them a barrage. I figure it's a fun thing to do, plus I get to make someone happy. 

According to ~AbsoluteCorruption I hit double All Star but omg the effort. I maxed YYB every day of the competition though. 

These are my stats currently! Still working toward All-Star and still possible! If anyone needs one of these made for them to help keep track of their scores better I can make one specific for your needs and e-mail it to ya! Hope this helps some people out!

He's awake between 8 and 9am in my neck of the woods. I had a call to make this morning and that's apparently the best time for it (i.e. maybe only 20 minutes sat on hold rather than 45...) so I thought why not, let's visit Roo while I'm waiting. If I lose a level it's just one of the ones I gained from him anyway, so no real lose. I was willing to risk that for some free training!
 
Seems he wasn't though!
 
I click on the Count Von Roo is awake! link on the Dailies page and my laptop immediately freezes up, and stays that way.
 
This wasn't morning browser grump either, (browsers clearly need coffee too, that's the only way to explain how sluggish they can be when they first start up ). 75 Interesting Facts About the Altador Cup
 
Maybe I'm insane for doing this much research or a hero for digging up this much info, who knows!? You decide! Below are 75 facts from silly things to pretty cool things to know about the Altador Cup. Enjoy my hard-core-no-sleep-need-coffee research. Maybe you'll even learn something new.
 
They're are 55 different species of Neopets and all but one of them are featured among the players in the AC teams; Vandagyre.
Out of the 18 Teams only 5 of them feature a female captain; Derlyn Fonnet-Kreludor, Mirsha Grelink-Shenkuu, Prytariel-Terror Mountain, Loryche-Tyrannia, and Keetra Deile-Virtupets Space Station.
Faerieland and Moltara are the only two teams that have lost more than one AC.
There are no all female teams in the AC. Faerieland, Shenkuu, and Krawk Island, are the closest to an all female roster with 3 females on each team.
Haunted Woods, Altador, Maraqua, Mystery Island, and Kiko Lake are the only teams to feature an all male roster.
The first AC in 2006 did not feature the teams Shenkuu and Moltara as the lands were not discovered yet.
During the 1st AC teams competed against each other in 4 Knock-Out rounds, with each round having a team being completely knocked out of the competition; once knocked out players had the ability to join a team still in the competition if they so choose.
In 2008 Yooyuball was remade to give each player on the field a unique appearance.
Valtonous Rea, the Faerieland goalkeeper's name was originally Valtonia Rea, till her name and gender was changed for no clear reason. Her gender was then changed backed to female, but retained her new name.
During the 1st AC players who choose Haunted Woods and Darigan Citadel from the very beginning were rewarded bonus prizes; books about their teams.
Kreludor is the only team in which a female is the captain of and all male roster.
In 2007 Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise were introduced to the tournament for those who had a hard time with Yooyuball.
Yooyus are known as the eleventh player in the game.
During AC II Kreludor did not participant due to the teams gravity generator failing making it impossible for the team to train for the AC.
The very first AC winner was Haunted Woods, who barely won to Darigan Citadel with a score of 2-1.
AC III was the first cup to start later in June (June 19th).
AC V was the second cup to feature a staff tournament in which 16 staff members competed in a knock-out tournament. The Staff Tournament has been present in 2006 and again in 2010. From 2011-2016 TNT has done it annually.
Even though Kreludor is famous for purple and orange Grundos, there is an orange and blue Grundo and no purple.
Darigan Citadel, Faerieland, Krawk Island, Lost Desert, and Mystery Island are the only teams in which the whole roster is painted the same color.
The list of Yooyu's not included in the cup are as follows; Green Yooyu, Christmas Yooyu, Tyrannian Yooyu, Yellow Yooyu, Red Yooyu, and Blue Yooyu
AC V introduced team Moltara and was the first AC to feature all 18 teams.
AC II started the rewards upon picking a team that were themed around your choice.
After making a goal or getting scored on you can press any key twice or click rabidly with you mouse to skip through the cutscenes and automatically take 8 seconds off the clock.
The most expensive Yooyu item is the Yooyuball Player Sling last seen going for 10m NP 4 years from it's release date in 2006. The cheapest Yooyu Item is the Yooyuball Sticker valued at 6 NP
During the AC IV players were rewarded a Yooyuball Key Quest Token upon picking their teams.
AC VI was the third cup to feature a Staff Tournament. The format was changed from the staff playing against each other to players being able to pick their dream teams and were rewarded points for how well their team did.
AC V was the first cup to start in early May (May 27th).
In 2010 TNT confirmed that the AC Avatar that was available in the prize shop in previous years was now retired and could no longer be purchased.
During AC VII Altador and Faerieland tied for last place.
AC III featured Kreludor once again, but Kiko Lake was unable to participant because they never made it to Altador due to a rock slide on their route.
AC V rewarded players with loyalty rewards. Each prize being different with the number of years you participated.
The first and only AC to feature achievements in which reaching each one rewarded specific items was AC V.
Loyalty rewards returned during the 6th AC and for those who had played the previous 5 cups were rewarded with the Yooyu Garden Pond.
The Altador Colosseum Stamp goes for 9.5m as of Feb 2016, that's 10 years after it's release date!
Due to the absence of Kiko Lake in AC III TNT added a Kiko to Lost Desert's Roster, Lamelle Turow.
The most common Neopet in AC is the Grundo, being represented in the teams Krawk Island, Kreludor (with 2 Grundos), Shenkuu and Virtupets Space Station.
AC VI changed the mouse-based system of Yooyuball to be strictly keyboard based.
The 7th AC was the first cup to introduce the bracket system.
The cheapest Yooyu that can be purchased is the Christmas Yooyu valued at 1,100 NP and the most expensive one is the Tyrannian Yooyu valued at 6m NP.
AC VII was the shortest cup ranging from June 1st-June 26th.
In AC II Mystery Island had to implement a mid-season roster change due to a player being injured. Maital Koric, an Island Techo was replaced with Vela Binal, an Island Lenny.
AC IV saw the introduction of Shootout Showdown and the NC Challenges.
During AC III Meridell lost their team captain due to retirement and “Wizard” Windelle took over as Captain.
AC IV brought back Kiko Lake, but sat out Brightvale due to King Hagan banning them until the kingdom's study habits improved.
The teams that have competed in every single AC are as follows; Altador, Darigan Citadel, Faerieland, Terror Mountain, Haunted Woods, Roo Island, Mystery Island, Krawk Island, Lost Desert, Maraqua, and Meridell.
In 2006 an Avatar was introduced and retired for guessing correctly during the Staff Tournament.
2016 was the first year that Faerieland moved up the ranks higher than 13.
Haunted Woods is the only team that has won more than one AC.
In 2011-2013 the caps for each game were as follows; YYB-300, SOSD-1201, MSN-1201, and SS-601. (That's a lot of Slushies to sling)
AC VII re-introduced the mouse-based variation in Yooyuball giving the players the choice between keyboard or mouse play.
The caps for each game were lowered in 2014 and 2015 to; YYB-68, SOSD-762, SS-139, and MSN-762.
Zo Junior of Haunter Woods held the position of Top Goal Scorer for the longest time.
Tobias Sigmar, the Disco Ixi announcer was motivated to become sportscaster after an event at a Gormball game that his father took him to as a child.
The AC was made possible after Altador rejoined Neopia because of the defeat of the Darkest Faerie, making them able to share Yooyuball with everyone.
In 2011 to max-out YYB each day it would take a total of 15 hours each day, not adding or subtracting animation time.
To reach 601 games of SS one needs to play close to 40 hours, assuming you played around 4 minutes a game.
The only teams actually featuring a Yooyuball in the background freebies for 2016 are Brightvale, Faerieland, Kiko Lake, Lost Desert, Maraqua and Terror Mountain.
During AC VIII the total amount of days for each round was shortened from 6 to 5 days.
During the AC 7 bracket standings were NOT based on daily results
Lost Deserts team colors were originally yellow and purple.
The most selfish player during the first AC was Elon “The Black Hole” Hughlis of Maraqua due to never passing to his teammates.
There was only one rest day during AC VII, June 25th
AC VI changed the NC challenges into a VIP pass system instead.
AC VII was the first cup to have tiebreakers. They were to decide 2nd/3rd place.
The Jelly world practice team did not consist of any Chia's during AC II, instead in consisted of a Kau, Kougra, Blumaroo, Techo and Usul all painted Jelly.
In 2006 and 2007 Layton Vickles of Darigan Citadel was nominated MVP, they were also given the role of captain in 2007.
In 2016 the amount of points needed to reach each rank was lowered, making All-Star a more realistic goal.
Caps were again lowered in 2016 to; YYB-46, SOSD-401, SS-86, and MSN-401
Horvi, the Grarrl announcer started his career with Tobias, the Disco Ixi, when he came up to him in rags asking for a NP to see the game. Tobias then in turn took him into the announcer's box seat and their relationship grew ever since.
The trophies from AC I are not clickable, making it impossible for you to prove what team you were on. The only teams that can prove this are Darigan Citadel and Haunted Woods as their trophies were different than the normal participation medal.
Roo Island fell farther the year after their win then any other team has after winning an AC the year before.
Tyrannia was the only team to get the same place for three years in a row. During AC I, II, III
From 2006-2010 Lost desert was the only team that never placed worse than they did the year before.
AC VIII was the first to introduce 5 rounds instead of 4
During Yooyuball, if you refresh with at least 1 points (or an amount higher than the other team) you will end the game in a draw.

Welcome sahana! I've never met anyone from New Zealand before, it is amazing to see players from all over on NP and TDN Forums. Since I am a relatively new player& new to TDN, I can't explain the different things that you were used to but I do remember that when I was really little (like being 5), I would sit on my oldest sister's lap while she helped me feed a yellow dinosaur (Grarrl) that she had on her account for me to play with and that she would visit the sad, lonely blue Grundo plushie by clicking on a dot in the clouds (now you can get an avatar for visiting him & he is a "dailie"). I hope you enjoy your return to NP and the ppl here on TDN are very helpful and informative! So looking forward to your posts to learn about NP from a different perspective.  :rambo:

Welcome to The Daily Neopets' Definitely-No-Longer-Daily Report on the Altador Cup! And yes, you may have noticed that we took a week's worth of hiatus. That was for reasons that I cannot disclose, but it involves snow, an Omelette, test papers and tons of Meepits.

While we have been away, Round 4 has come and gone and this segment will be just a recap of the most exciting moments of the last round, and the standouts and the sitdowns that showed up. In addition, we will be giving you a rundown of the three final brackets and all the teams in it!

And if we are going to talk about exceptional play, we need to talk about Faerieland. And wow - what a journey it has been for the team. For many years in the Cup, the Faeries were seen as a second-rated team, and to most commentators the Faeries really never had a chance to win. Well, Faerieland has proved them wrong. And they proved it with style. Again and again they had defied all expectations and won, if not outright crushed their opponents.

But the shining moment for the Faeries came during the third day of Round 4, when they faced off against Tyrannia. Up to then, the Tyrannian Fossils were borderline unstoppable as they got win after win - their only real challenge was Krawk Island and even then the Pirates had to settle for a draw. The Faeries seemed like an easy sweep for the Fossils - but they turned it around big time. Out of absolutely nowhere, Faerieland seized the three support games - including SoSD, where they had been unbeaten to deliver Tyrannia's very first defeat. With the wind caught up in their sails and crowds of supporters cheering for them Faerieland, the dark horse of the tournament, may be set to give us the biggest upset in the history of the Cup!

Another team that deserves a mention is Meridell, who had shown a second win and has taken most of the matches in the Alabriss Bracket of Round Four, which landed them the top spot - but they were denied entry by the aforementioned Faerieland by just 1 point. They really need to show great skill to get to the podium this year. And speaking of top bracket, the top 5 teams - Brightvale, Tyrannia, Mystery Island, Krawk Island and Kiko Lake - have remained mostly steady as of late, but once Round 5 starts, expect a free-for-all of epic magnitude.

One team that fell from grace though is Kreludor. The second place finisher from last year are now lounging in the bottom bracket after a multitude of defeats from all angles. Early favorites Maraqua aren't any better as they are now in the last place of the second bracket. Haunted Woods unfortunately are still not doing very well ranking at the bottom. They've had a fall from grace this year and hopefully next year will be better for them. Shakeups and surprises really are the theme of this year's cup.

This is a quick piece, and I'm sorry about that. Round 5 is about to begin and it's sure to be an exciting round! Until then, this is Miko signing off.

I think it would be cool if they added powerups. Ones like; everyone asks for the same slushie for 10-15 seconds, everyone goes in the same line for 10-15 seconds, faster slushie making, etc. Or even make it set up like any food game you can play from the app store, have days and earnings and at the end of the day you can upgrade you equipment.

I am so glad that I'm not the only one who can't stand this game. I mean, I feel bad to pick on this Tuskaninny, I'm sure after 11 years-she would love a promotion & NOT have to sling slushies. Maybe NP could renovate this game so that we could choose a slinger-maybe have one of our own pets do the slinging? I think we'd be more invested in the game. Checking my stats last year, I only did 100 SS as to the 285 I did this year (so far). Doesn't mean I like it more, I really pushed myself to do more & did more of this game on Jelly Days to send 300 scores in & not have to push for 600.
 
You definitely get my respect named444 for having done 2,000 SS games and over 70,000 slushies slung! You rock!  :rock:
