Yeah, this were an item out of a chest, guarantee NO-ONE paid money for a 1-pack chest so they could get November 23rd's item! The more I look into this the more confusing it gets xDD Right now the only firm decision seems to be a quadruped, so handheld items are in a stand/on the ground, rather than floating. The floating not so much of a problem as the missing bit of the item where they've been cut to make room for the pet's paw etc. I've been playing with a gelert. I started with a Kau but one item didn't show up for that but did for everyone else so I switched. But the Gelert's long ear takes chunks out of hats... hats will likely be useful, so maybe Kougra... hmm, nope, ear chunk still, just different shape. Yeah I'm leaning towards Kau right now!

I.... never really paid attention to this item before. NOW, of course, cannot unsee. xD That's pretty dire, isn't it?! It looks like something a kid who's just been shown how to use Photoshop did. Oh my, and it's an NC item!!! That's... that's really bad. But again, they'd not have released something like this, especially not for cash, unless they had no other option. Rubbish NC items are the epitome of a waste of time, aren't they, because people aren't gonna buy 'em.

@Yuiina Ooh, thank you for sharing the info I needed! I'd not yet managed to talk my brain into checking out that pet page. "only" 1 million for an invisible paint brush isn't bad at all by Neopian standards, is it. ? I DID look on the TP yesterday and it seems 2 mill's a more realistic price, but hey, it's just money, and on here I've got lots of that. Just need to decide of which pet... does make a difference even if they are invisible! Item placement and so forth. Really I'm just enabling myself. *hands self excuse to play on DTI all day*

Better the Invisipet than a poorly-executed-because-of-no-time Burlap though, focus on that. ? I think a lot of the problem is creativity, or the lack there of. TNT now are not the wildly imaginative bunch that made Neo what it is. Also, there's the artists... I've realised that just because someone can draw doesn't mean they've automatically got any design skills. Talent as a whole is lacking with TNT now though isn't it, the plodt-writing highlights that. ? But then original TNT will all have been drawn together because they were creative and artistic, the people we have now are just JS staff who were tasked with Neopets... oh and the spot of nepotism with the JS boss giving his daughter the NT editor's job... I wonder what Scrappy does now Jade fills that role. ? The artwork is generally much better now than it was in 2016 or so, I think that was the all time low. Someone on the team is excellent and has good imagination, but sadly they can't draw absolutely everything. ?

BOTT has been doing its best to revive the market single-handedly, I think xD Maybe TNAH will decide to follow in its footsteps?

? Gotta work out which pet is the best species to go for... I'm thinking Jetsam, there was a conversation on here recently about which invisible pets can have the most items equiped to them... wasn't there. Or did I imagine that? @Duma was it you who mentioned them?

I am quite seriously contemplating an invisible pet; so I can play about with equipable stuff like the beastie I created when my lab-rat turned invisible (for one whole day! ?) and also so I can make pretty pictures without a pet blocking the view. ? I'd not realised that this background had a garden visible through the doorway because my Kacheek's big head was in the way! nor that there are muslin curtains fluttering in the breeze in true romantic-movie style, but I can't blame my pet for that, that's just my penchant for EQUIP ALL THE THINGS Not sure what's going on here though... ? Neopian Mansion Death Match?? My money's on Plumpy. But yes, this kind of thing is why I think an invisible pet is in my future. ?

Totally understandable though, Advent Calendar stuff is gonna be taking up a lot of artist time right now I'm sure. TNT doesn't have the staffing levels to be able to be way ahead on production of everything (anything), and considering the postponement of the GMC which is another item-heavy event... I'm imagining somewhat frantic scrabbling to get Advent Calendar stuff finalised so that can go off without a hitch, and the Invisible pet fall-back position ended up having to be used, I'm sure they'd rather have not used it. Thing is though, it's gotta be done at some point. ? I rather like the idea of an invisible pet because you can have so much fun with the customisation. I'd be intrigued to know what needs to be done to enable an invisible pet to equip items, it confuses me why some items only work with some invisible pets. But yeah, I'm contemplating an invisible something for one of my two empty slots.

I think it's probably because after seeing Howl and Totoro I made a point of looking out for the others when they've been on TV but I don't generally watch films normally, my brain can't focus on something for that long now and I literally lose the plot. ? A film channel here shows a fair selection of the Ghibli films 3 or 4 times a year and if I'm lucky I manage to catch them. I do have Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away and From Up On Poppy Hill on DVD but I just watch the others when I realise they're on. I found after watching Ghibli I developed VIEWS about Disney ? Ghibli just doesn't do the stereotypical characterisation stuff, it doesn't go down the cheap joke route, it... I dunno. There's just dignity in Ghibli films that Disney doesn't have. I started watching Mulan a few years back. Hmmm... this would have been around Christmas, I knew Ghilbi stuff was in the rotation because they had trailers on TV for what they were showing over the holiday. So I watched the Ghibli, and Mulan was on after it. So yeah, I'd never seen that so let's watch that too! But... I didn't stick with it for very long because I really didn't like the way the characters behaved and the things they said. The contrast between that and the Ghibli film was really striking. So, after that rambling, maybe that's why they're basically the only ones I watch? ?

I have a theory that if someone wins 20k from a square then no-one else can until that amount moves back to that square. Just basing this on how I've never seen anyone get more than nothing from a 20k link, even if they click on it within minutes of it awarding that to someone else. ? I've started off with nothing from my digging today, so things can only get better, right?? Or just continue along the same route. xD That soon there. Aw, bless your heart *hugs* I was thrilled with how accurately I was able to recreate the scene in the end. The slime gave me the idea initially and I was going to use this but it just didn't show up well against any background I tried, but when I found that Spooky Shadows item it all came together. The fact that those earrings are almost identical to Howl's seemed like a sign too, lol. I'll admit that I didn't know hardly any of the entries for this round.

Ooh, now this is a fun idea, but yes, how to do! lol. There's about a bazillion memes now isn't there xD If I manage an entry for this round it'll be very old skool by meme standards as they age by the dog years principle basically, don't they. They're classed as "old" when they're something from last year. Well... let's be fair here, the people who judge others for using an "old" meme are probably school/college age. But yeah, any meme I use is gonna be pre-historic by this niche's standards, because I've not taken any notice of them since they first started being a thing. So a def classic to look out for from me. xD My biggest issue would be my borked brain allowing me to come up with a meme-like caption. Especially as it's now wanting me to try to create one for this guy! I mean seriously?? Is there ANY WAY i could make things any harder for myself??? ?
