Going with Awakened for the avi, as well.

I'm joining the Awakened - I don't have a single obelisk avatar yet and I've seen the Awakened win quite a bit. Of course, with my luck all the heavy hitters will join the Sway or the Seekers ? At least you get a prize even if your side doesn't win.

The first one I was really obsessed with getting was SDB packrat. I think it's just because it so perfectly encapsulates me as a person, collecting and hoarding everything and feeling like I've just got one of everything tucked away somewhere. I probably didn't realise it at the time but now it seems obvious, that avatar was made for me. I'd like to think my collections have become more refined over time but they probably haven't! Just a lot more expensive now I'm old enough to afford Lego, which started last year. I'm 22 now and I don't show any signs of stopping Neopets or collecting nice toys. I've been on Neo for 12 years ago now so I was 10 when I started, but didn't really look at avatars or site events or anything, I just like to play Ice Cream Machine a lot and collect rainbow items. My sister and I both played from the same family desktop that was our first (and only, for about 5 years) computer at home. I didn't even know back then that accounts could be frozen for using the same computer, so I'm glad that didn't happen because I probably would never have thought to make another and continue playng. It didn't occur to me to make a second account but I probably broke into my sisters account a few times to steal cool items...
My second fave was Sell SELL, after I got into the stock market. And then joining this site was a great turning point for getting some of the avatars I probably would never have gotten without the ALS. SO thanks everyone for that help!!

I've had the same experience! I'm 26 & shameless with my love for Neopets. There shouldn't be a "right" or "wrong" age to play Neo. We're all enjoying the same site, and we're all having fun. ^-^

There was no computers or internet in my case. Of course she was a lot younger than I was when she started playing. I didn't join NeoPets until I was about 48. I'm 60 now. I started playing because we were raising 2 of our grand daughters and they begged me to let them join NeoPets about 12 years ago. Never having heard of it I wouldn't allow it unless I joined and they made me a friend. I wanted to be sure to keep an eye out on them when they played. I even got them each a laptop so they could play at the same time. I use a desktop. Now they are 19 and 21 and no longer play but I just couldn't give up my account! LOL I'm addicted. Oh and to answer your question about the avatars. I love them all and I do my best to try and collect them all (impossible) and I try to collect everything else too.
 

As a kid? Lol.  That makes me laugh as the internet wasn't around when I was a kid, let alone Neopets.  I was about 36 when I opened my NP account, lol.  Can I still participate in this question? ?
Anyway, I always wanted the Kad avatar, so I worked real hard for that.  I was so excited when I got the trophy for 1 fed.  Now I have 100.  I also like my battledome veteran avatar, my tooth faerie, and I was certain I would never get the brightvale avatar, but I finally did.
Now I am certain I will never get techo cheesy, deserted tomb, snowager, lever of doom, or symol.

What a strange and stressful experience! If it's any consolation I think he wouldn't have let you take the baby, and was just doing it to upset the woman involved or perhaps to make a point. So even if you had acted immediately and told the man you would take him, the outcome would probably have remained the same. However it's a great show of your caring character that you would take on that responsibility, and also very admirable that you'll look for the couple and offer protection to that child if it needs it. I hope you're ok!!

You're completely right, having my account back is enough reward in itself! I remember years ago it was so hard to get NP so I'm glad things are easier now, I think when I got older I also realised how to earn in other ways than just playing my favourite game 3 times. I was so upset when all my account trophies and avatars had gone seemingly forever which is why I stopped playing, it wasn't for the NPs, so now it's just nice to come back with only this slight drawback. Thanks :) 

I believe it's done on purpose with some frozen accounts. The good news is that making nps is now easier than ever so it shouldn't take you long to get a nice nest egg again.

Yes,I was very lucky that TNT was able to restore my 
Neopet's account with everything still in it :).
I try to keep up to date with my info,as 3 other people have been under my Neopet's account before by black hat hackers :(.
I told TNT the emails each time,when I figured out my email had been changed.

As others have said, you can try asking TNT if they can trace your NPs, however I think like Angelo' said, your account was most likely closed for your protection, meaning they found that someone had either accessed it or was trying to access it so they froze it to protect it.  If someone did indeed access it, TNT does not know if any/all NPs on the account were obtained fraudulently and therefore just removed them.  As Hrtbrk said, the NPs are much easier to earn now, especially with Trudy's daily.  If you hit the LOWEST amount of NPs you can possibly earn each day on Trudy's, you will earn 445,375 per month, providing you don't miss one single day.  If you do miss a day, it starts back at the beginning, at 1,500.  You also get NC gift boxes from Trudy's so that you can send NC items between your own accounts and to your friends.  So that is one way to earn NPs very quickly.  Also, make sure to play fashion fever.  It is the quickest, easiest, 900 nps per day.  It doesn't sound like much, but it is 27,000 per month!!   Collect your bank interest every single day.  Don't forget it!  It adds up quickly and it's free NPs just for clicking a button.  You just have to remember to do it. LOL. 
Now, as far as just getting your account back, that is the BEST part!  Hopefully nothing else is missing.  Honestly, Yes, I would be quite upset if my NPs were gone, but I would be VERY HAPPY that I got my account back.  To ME, having the account, it's age, it's avatars, it's items, trophies, and other things that are simply irreplaceable, is far more important than NPs that ARE replaceable.  So, if you can get them back, then great!  But if not, I really wouldn't be too concerned.  I would be ecstatic that I got my account back and move on.  Good luck with everything.

This is crazy. You are so lucky that you got your account back. Maybe TNT reset your points ? Not sure why they would do that though. You should change all your info just in case someone was able to get into it.  Congrats on getting it back!

Haven't posted here in a couple of years. Back in 2016 my account was suddenly and unexpectedly closed, I hadn't broken any rules or done anything wrong. I remember at the time quite a few people had experienced the same thing, I made a new account to file a ticket and then another a few months later when I had no response. Neither received any attention from the team so I just stopped playing, I felt betrayed that 10 years of account had been lost on a whim. A week or so ago I remembered the account and filed a new ticket, and to my surprise they gave my account back quickly! 
Today I logged back in for the first time to see if anything had changed, and the first thing I noticed was that my bank account had been completely reset to 0NP. I'd had quite a lot of money saved from the stocks, luckily the stock portfolio seems to have remained, but it is quite annoying. Has anyone else had this experience or know if there is a way of getting some of it back?

So many issues I can hardly keep track! Scared of even being on my account incase I jinx it somehow and end up losing everything by going on a daily. I can just imagine going on Apple Bobbing and it coming up with the message:
 
"You lean over the slimy cauldron...and into the grim waters slips every item and neopoint you own. At least you get to try the Soup Faerie's new soup!!"

I love this man and his amazing stories, it is such a huge loss to us all. I wish Alzheimer's didn't exist :sad02: :sad02:
