And - My net has not been responding well on Neo. I went to visit Marina again and clicked the "Heal My Pets" option...and NOTHING happened, because the page would NOT load AT ALL. How do I know? Because there was no increase in my active's HP, and that is all she ever gives me. I visited again, thinking it didn't work the first time, and then I got a "Don't come back here again for another 30 minutes" type message (Okay, she does not actually say that), but I WASTED a whole turn all because my stupid net wouldn't load the page! So nothing happened!
 
Actually, something did - I checked my inventory and she gave me another Wet Snowball. I'd love to throw it in her face. >_>

Users have been receiving a Random Event that reveals an explosion of light that blinds you! A second RE has also been discovered that reveals it was an earthquake that caused this!

People that offer on my trades with less than half of the logical price, and then withdraw after like 15 minutes while I'm eating dinner/doing homework/playing Key Quest, etc.
Ooh and the people who, after you reject their junk offer, re-offers with 5k more than their original offer. (HINT HINT, person who keeps re-offering on my Cloud Petpet PB.)
 
-Playing a long game of Key Quest, only for the person to quit after 20+ min when I'm about to win.
 
-Random events that I can never get, such as the Jacko the Phantom Painter RE or the avatars that take 5 hours of refreshing at a page.
 
-My inability to play certain games because kids under 13 mustn't ever be exposed to such 'mature' games such as Grarrl Keno, Scorchy Slots and Double or Nothing.

I think my biggest irritation still is their push for cash. I think that neocash is a good idea but to buy one mitten per snowball? That was mean and corporatey. I understand that they want to get money, but with all the ads, premium accounts (and the way they treat their premium account users) I just feel really disgruntled when I feel forced to make a purchase.
 
I would be more happy to shell out $10 supporting a site I like rather than having to "miss out" because I don't want to play in their sketchy money fishing games

I love that I can feel myself getting stronger. Every night, it gets a bit easier to do situps, etc. and I feel more confident in what I'm doing.

As for your set. First thing first, get a Downsize!. (yes with the ! in the name) Once per battle it blocks 50% of all damage. I would suggest possibly a Leaf Shield, for earth, water and some physical blocking, They're not the best Fire blockers, but they are multiple use. the Flaming Oven Gloves. Block 5 Fire and 2 Light. Your parchment cloak looks like an interesting piece, and it blocks some Air, which isn't the easiest icon to block. Your Golden Compass helps block some Dark.
 
For Healing, since other/better items ARE terribly over priced. I'd like to suggest Slime Potion. It heals 10hp Once per Battle, and it's under 500np. Or, get a Lesser Healing Scroll. As of right now I see them going from 20k-30k and heal 25hp once per battle.
 
Don't be afraid to rotate some of your gear in or out of your set based on what the opponent has as far as their weapons go. Even some of the 50% reflectors might be good. Even though they can break permanently. if Interested I can give you the names. LOL I've practically got them memorized. lol
 
The price of these upgrades shouldn't run you much. in fact, if you buy the items I suggested, you'll have most of that 1 mil still available to upgrade something else, train some more, OR, I think it's not really necessary right now, but if you want something to heal 50hp once per battle, you could splurge for a Greater Healing Scroll. They are currently 500k on the TP. Which is major inflation over what they would normally run. I think the Lesser Healing Scroll would give you a better price for what it does.

My sister is pregnant with a girl. My family has a tradition of naming fetuses--I was Egbert, and my sister was Hedwig. Well, my sister's fetus was named Rodrigo. She won't tell anyone what the real name will be until the baby is born. (And knowing my family, I understand EXACTLY why she's doing that.)
 
But it's now a week past Rodrigo's due date, so it feels weird to still call her Rodrigo. But I don't know the REAL name.
 
So I'm calling her Denise.

Hey everybody, I doubt any one has noticed but I haven't been around for the last several days. But for good reason!
My husband daughter, and I moved from Philly, PA back to our hometown of Pittsburgh, PA this weekend and wholly guacamole it's awesome! Everything went perfect. My 9 month old daughter slept most of the way, the snow stopped before the drive, the drive was only 6 hours instead of the usual 8, and our home is nicer than we thought it'd be. We are finally back home with our friends and family after almost a year in a place where we knew no one. Oh and several days without neopets was driving me crazy so it feels good to be back to that and back here too :)

to each their own i guess, but i feel like without customisation, there would be no difference between your blue Acara and mine. When people say 'your pet is beautiful' it is only a compliment if ive customised that pet and given it a personality. otherwise, they're really complimenting the TNT artwork.

You have to remember these collats are baseline. We lower it according to various factors for each person.
 
If someone were to have enough to buy one outright, they might choose to receive a lend because then they wouldn't have to go to the hassle of finding someone willing to sell one to them, then go through the auction, and then if they just wanted the av but don't want to keep the petpet, they'd have to go to the trouble of finding someone to SELL it to, and then another auction, and in the end they'd likely have a net loss after the Meowy has been passed on. Lends, on the other hand, are fairly easy to find if you have full collat, and you're guaranteed no net loss in the end with minimal hassle.

Honestly, I don't care about sports. At all. I don't know what's wrong with me, because everyone else seems to get really into it... but I just don't. I saw a meme today with grumpy cat, saying "I hope they both lose" :P

Alright. So I've been overweight pretty much my entire life. Partially from genetics and also from my mother never putting any emphasis on healthing eating or exercise. I've always been self consious and have alway wanted to lose weight. I've also been clinically depressed since I was 13, which is when I started packing on the pounds. Not because I was eating so much, but because of my lack of drive to do anything. There are also a few studies that state stress = weight gain. I have a huge host of anxiety disorders that are probably contributing factors.
 
Anywho. I was recently put on a new anti-depressant which is helping me out tons! It took awhile to kick in, but now that it has I feel better about life and less anxious day by day. Which is definitley a good thing. At my largest, I weighed 165lbs and I'm 5'1. When I went to the doctor last, I found out I've actually lost 5lbs in two weeks! So now I weigh 160. This is really great news for me because usually I absolutley dread going to the doctor and having to look at the number on the scale.
 
So this has been enough motivation for me to lose all those unwanted pounds, feel better about myself, get in shape, and be healthy! I'm cutting out fast food and soda completely. I'm allowing myself one cheat day, so as not to be deprived. I'm not going to call this a "diet" because I'm done with that. For me, this is going to be a complete lifestyle change. I want to be more active and I want to not only feel good about myself, but be healthy on the inside.
 
So I started this thread in case anyone else would like to embark on this journey with me. You don't have to make any drastic changes at first. In fact, it's better to start small. In my case, I started off by drinking 8 bottles of water a day. Which isn't difficult for me, because I quite like water. I added in some welches 100% white grape juice which I now drink with breakfast every morning. It has some great health benefits (including weight loss!) I'm also walking at least 30mins everyday. Some days I'll power walk and somedays I'll just stroll, but either way... it's something.
 
So, would you like to lose weight, have more energy and feel better about yourself? If so, please share your stories about your weight loss struggles and I'll be here to support you in anyway I can. :) If you've lost weight in the past, don't hesistate to share your motivational stories.

What lifestyle changes will you make to lose the weight: Drink 8 glasses of water a day, exercise at least 3x's a week, make better eating choices and use low fat subsitutes when possible, completely stop drinking soda, never starve or deprive myself, eat only when hungry, use portion control, read motivational success stories, eat smaller healthy snacks more frequently.

I customize because it's really fun and it (in theory) gives my pet(s) an unique look that others with the same species/colour do not have. As Angelo already mentioned, it also helps portray a character or personality I may have in them - prissy outfit or not.
 
Just because people are actively into customizing their pet doesn't mean they don't take 'good care' of their pets, and I think it's offensive to insinuate that people who choose to customize don't take as good as care of their pet(s) and that they do not have their pet(s) as a top priority.

If I play 17 of my favorite games (ones I can get 1000 a game from) for 20 days and not spend a single neopoint I'll have 2,000,000! Then 3 the next 20 and 4 the next! Making it only take 80 days for 5 mil! Eureka!
