Unfortunately I think the first problem is that your mom is trying to tell you to "get over" it :/ I hope she understands that it's an actual medical condition that sometimes you need medication to take the edge off. It's got to do with all the chemicals and hormones in your body being out of whack, and while you can do certain things to ease your feelings of anxiety, some days it's really hard to cope and that's where the medication comes in. I'm not familiar with how the health system works where you are, but if you could look into getting some help with that, it could be a great help to you.

I don't suffer from severe anxiety, but what my doctor considers a very mild case. Most days I can function properly without much worry, but sometimes it gets triggered for no reason, that leads me to not want to leave the house, freak out for no reason, or have a panic attack. It would last for days before I finally cave and take some meds just to make it through the day. A few things that helped me are definitely scented candles (lavender helps calm you) since I scent-associate, it gets my brain to a place where it can be calm. I also do a fair amount of doodling because for me, doing anything repetitive makes my brain go on a linear path instead of all over the place. Sometimes it's also easier for me to just physically secure all the doors/windows and work out a little plan in my head as to what to do in case of an emergency, so I am calmer about falling asleep.

But yeah, I feel like your mom needs to understand that this is more than just you acting out. It took me a long time to realize this, until my dad went through the same thing and I saw a change in his demeanor, that it wasn't just him being irrational, there really was something wrong that we couldn't see.

I just had the worst neothing happen to me, which turned out to be the best thing to happen to me. As many of you already know, I am playing NQ2 on Insane mode. I was half way through chapt 2, had 3 party members, and in a regular fight, not even a boss fight, all of my party members were killed which means I have to start the whole game over. I was at level 22!!!! Ugghh. I cried. I really did. All of that time just wasted. So, right in the beginning of my start over I got an air faerie quest. Since I was part of the Order during the last Obelisk, I chose faerie quest refresh, and guess what I got??? Yep, I did I did get a Fountain Faerie quest. my first one ever. How much was the item she asked for? I paid 4,000 nps!!!! Since I had never seen the item before I thought it might an UB. Now, what pet do I want?? Decisions decisions. It takes the sting out of my NQ2 mishap. I don't know what happened there. I thought I was well trained but apparently not. Off to start over. Ugghh.

Good morning, Neopia! This is Lydia, reporting from The Daily Neopets' Newsroom with the latest results from the Altador Cup. Hopefully, if we move fast enough, we won't have any connection problems, so we'll get right into the results for the day.

We've seen an unprecedented number of sweeps so far this tournament, and today is no exception. The Alabriss Bracket contained one of only two matchups that wasn't a complete sweep. Lost Desert proudly managed to break the pattern, stealing a win in Yooyuball from Tyrannia. The Fossils have only lost Yooyuball a total of three times this Cup. They've had another strong showing so far this year, managing a complete side-sweep of the Mummies.

Darigan Citadel and the Haunted Woods both managed a complete sweep against their opponents - Krawk Island and Shenkuu. This seemed to anger a certain perpetually angry Yurble, who has been sending in letters to our newsroom all week. [Lydia gestures to a large pile of paper on her desk.] Something about the brooms being stolen from the janitorial closets. Anyway, I'm going to get back to our "fan mail" and turn you over to our very own Brooke who's out on the field with the results from the next bracket!

Thank you, Lydia! Brooke here, excited to be out from behind the scenes and in front of the cameras once again! Though I could really use some sunglasses and maybe some SPF 50? Is there room in the budget for that? Anyway, let's take a look at the results of the Minitheus Bracket. The brooms are back with a vengeance, it seems, as all three match-ups ended in sweeps.

Brightvale's outlook is a little less bright today, as Moltara defeated them in all four games, completing a hat trick of sweeps consistent with their previous performance this year. We had a chance to ask Brightvale's goalkeeper, Orie Dinelle, for her thoughts on the outcome of their Yooyuball match against Moltara. "It's actually kind of encouraging," Dinelle told us, shrugging humbly. "They're nice guys, and they have the sweetest fans, so it's cool to see them finally having some success! We tried our best, and that's what we'll continue to do." It's nice to see that this loss hasn't dimmed her spirit. Keep an eye out, as the Wizards have shown us before that they're capable of great things.

Kiko Lake's strength in Yooyuball carried them through against the Faeries today, despite the sporting nature and determination of Faerieland's fans. Spurred by their win on the field, the Kikos continued to dominate in all three side games, leading to their second sweep of the year. Only time will tell if the Faeries can make use of the remaining weeks to make an epic comeback!

For the final match of the bracket, the Knights and the Moons went head-to-head. Kreludor has done very well in Shootout Showdown so far this year, and today was certainly no exception. In fact, they pulled off a sweep of all four games, soundly shutting out Meridell's finest. Meridell is still a team to watch, though, as they've pulled off their share of sweeps as well. The left forward for Meridell, Ethel Boortz, offered her congratulations to the Moons when she spoke with us, but warned us not to count her or her teammates out, before heading out with them for slushies.

That wraps up the Minitheus Bracket for today. I'll pass the helm on to Matt, who will break down the Vaelous Bracket for us. Matt?

Thanks Brooke! It's great to see you on the field, and I'm sure we can make room in the budget, especially for our best researcher! We'll have to ask Lydia about that. Let's get back to the Cup with the results from the Vaeolus Bracket.

The underdogs of the Vaeolus Bracket, Mystery Island and Altador faced off today. The Natives were the clear victors today, sweeping the Suns on all fronts. The skill difference between the two teams was obvious. The Suns, who have yet to win a single game this entire season, still hold a positive outlook for the future. One long-time fan called this season a wake-up call, and a humbling experience: "After our recent success, I think this season is definitely a wake-up call for us. Each loss makes us stronger, and we can only go up from here!" Well spoken!

Next up, Virtupets and Roo Island went head to head, and the results were a surprise to no one. With the exception of Haunted Woods and Moltara, Virtupets are almost guaranteed to sweep any team they come across. That's exactly what happened today, though the Rooligans tried their best to pull off an upset against the Robots. The Rooligans' performance has gone down after their success in last year's Cup, and they hope to rise to the top once again. I managed to get a few quick questions in with Roo Island's goalkeeper Clutch Billaban, who said that Roo Island is learning from their mistakes this season, and hopes to become a better team: one that can repeat, if not surpass, their success last year.

The Mermaids and Chillers clashed today. Turns out the Mermaids just couldn't move mountains, as Terror Mountain took the overall win, but Maraqua was able to prevent a sweep from occurring. The two teams drew in Yooyuball with a respectable score of four apiece. However, the Chillers were able to best the Mermaids in Slushie Slinger - not surprising since slushies are a Terror Mountain specialty. Terror Mountain fans screamed their snow caps off and took the win in Make Some Noise. The cheers could be heard for miles away, strong enough to cause an avalanche!

This wraps up the results from the Vaeolus Bracket! I'll go ahead and hand the report back to Lydia.

[The screen switches to a shot in the Yooyu pens, the label of "Pre-recorded" flashing in the upper left corner. Lydia is there with the Yooyu caretaker, his faithful fire Yooyu perched on his shoulder.]

What are the Yooyus up to this bye-day?
While the demand never goes away for the Yooyus' time and performance during this month, it's much lower now. But look here. [The caretaker gestures over to a corner of the pen, where the Yooyus are chittering at one another, excitingly tossing a colorful petpetpet amongst themselves.] They like to turn the tables now and again and play some "Rainblugball" on their days off. They aren't harmed any more than the Yooyus are, of course, though they end up a little more confused!

Thank you again for your time. This is Lydia, for The Daily Neopets, signing off!

I really hope to raise over a thousands pounds, but for the moment the target is set at five hundred as I don't have a facebook and don't have any friends in the area that I've recently moved to - so you guys are my only hope!

I will be making a video next week to post here so you guys can see me, and I'll talk about the charity in a bit more detail as well. I'll also be videoing my hair being shaved off! This hair will then be donated to The Little Princess Trust who provide real-hair wigs for children that have lost their hair through cancer treatment and other illnesses.

Hello and welcome, everybody! Matt here, with the results from today's games! It's certainly been an interesting day, filled with unexpected results. We take a look at the results from the Alabriss Bracket first, where all of the games were nearly one-sided.

The Pirates were able to take the lead early on in the game against the Ninjas. With the Ninjas flustered, the Pirates took advantage of the situation and scored goals with finesse you wouldn't have thought a pirate had. Despite their losses in the other games the Ninjas were extremely optimistic, full of energy as they cheered Shenkuu on. Shenkuu's captain, Mirsha Grelinek described the scene as awe-inspiring. "It was amazing to see that our fans were cheering as hard as they could, despite our team being the underdogs in this match. Truly heartwarming!"

A similar story occurred in the match between Darigan Citadel and Tyrannia. The Fossils were able to muster up their inner fuel and blow away the Minions. Get it? Fossil fuels? No? Ahem. Moving swiftly on, the Fossils took Yooyuball, Slushie Slinger, and Shootout Showdown. The Minions' consistent scores of 5 just weren't enough to stop the Fossils from beating them back to the Paleolithic Era! The Fossils slacked off in Make Some Noise however, allowing the Minions to sneak in and draw with them. Loryche, Tyrannia's center forward, describes today's match as a redemption of sorts. "Today we showed that despite the supposed winner's curse that haunts our team, we can still defeat one of the best teams in the Cup. Really amazing effort from our team as a whole today."

For the last matchup of the Alabriss Bracket, we had the Haunted Woods and the Lost Desert on the field. It was a great battle of the undead today as the Zombies and Mummies went head to head. In the end, the Zombies were able to come out the victors, snatching all four games in a decisive sweep! The Zombies are still the leader in their bracket, and they look to be in a good position for another first-place finish.

Now we take a look at the results from the Vaeolus Bracket! It was an exciting day for the Natives today as they squeaked out a win against the Mermaids in Yooyuball! Volgoth from Mystery Island scored the last point, bringing the total up to a close 6-5. The Yooyuball win propelled fans to cheer, the Natives essentially muting out Maraqua. The Mermaids retaliated, however, and took the remaining two side games. While I wasn't able to get an interview with Mystery Island's team, they did tell me that they were overjoyed with today's match against the Mermaids, and that they hope to do just as well tomorrow.

It was no surprise today that Virtupets swept Terror Mountain. They have yet to lose a single game, and they aren't going to in the near future, most likely. If anything, it seems like only Haunted Woods or Moltara could stop them, and even then it would be a difficult feat to accomplish. All three teams are in a separate bracket, and there's still a while before the brackets get reshuffled. Meanwhile, teams will just have to make do!

The Suns have been struggling to do well this season, and today was no different as they were swept again, this time by the Rooligans. Lilo Blumario's excellent leadership today allowed them to surpass the Sun's level of gameplay. The Suns have yet to win a match this season, and with Virtupets being their opponents for today, it looks like that streak will continue. The joyful spirits of the Rooligans showed today however as they cheered neverendingly for their teams' success today. Slushies were handed out, and a spontaneous party was started! I think I'll head down there when this broadcast is over - don't forget to save me a slushie, guys!

Now let me just power through this bracket and I ca-

[As Matt finishes up the rundown on the Vaeolus bracket, a loud boom is heard nearby. There is shouting in the distance, but words cannot be made out. Amid the confusion of the newsroom crew, Matt tries to keep the broadcast going. Suddenly, bursting through the door, a familiar face appears.]

    I'mmmmmmmmmm baaaaaaaaaa-aaaaaaaaaaaack!

[Pushing Matt aside while shouting "TURN AROUND, BRIGHT EYES", the man sits in the chair and faces the camera. He swipes his hands through his dashingly beautiful mustache and pauses for a second to allow what just happened to sink in.]

Goooooooood morning, Neopia! This is your FAVORITE newscaster, Austin, and I am here to give you your results for the Minitheus bracket this morning!

Ahem - In a bit of a shocker, Kiko Lake pulled off a win over Moltara in Yooyuball, while getting swept in the side games. Moltara, who had previously been undefeated in Yooyuball, falls to 4-2-1 on the year. Moltara captain, Aldric Beign, had a few words about the disappointing match, saying "Oi, mate, we gotta get out there and play some better slingball. I'm sorry about th' way we performed out there." No players from Kiko Lake were available for comment, as they appeared to have headed to Altador Alley for some post-game celebrations.

Brightvale and Meridell renewed their age-old rivalry with a match last night. The play was heated, and many scuffles broke out between both teams. In fact, the match got so bad that the referees almost called it early. The game ended in a 5-5 draw, a somewhat ironic result, considering how hard these two fought to win. The rest of the games went the way of the Knights. This near sweep could give them the momentum they need to jump to the top of the bracket.

Faerieland continued its dismal play against a far superior Kreludor team. The Faeries couldn't defend against the Kreludor attack at all and stumbled to an embarrassing 1-0-6 Yooyuball record. The only positive thing the Faeries brought out of last night's match was the prevention of a sixth straight sweep, as they were able to draw even with Kreludor in Slushie Slinger. Kreludor is having a nice start to the season. It will be interesting to see if they can be the first team to win multiple championships.

That's the Minitheus bracket in its entirety. Matt, it is an absolute blast working with you…

    [Nothing happens…]

Hahahaha! You guys thought I was gonna blow something up! Nope. The only ones blowing anything up this year are the Robots from Virtupets and the Zombies of the Haunted Woods. Watch for these two teams as they continue trying to blast their competition out of the water. The Robots take on last year's runner-up, Altador. Although the Suns have looked bad this year, they've always been the team to pull off shockers.

Haunted Woods gets the match of the day, as they take on the defending champion, Tyrannia. Tyrannia is once again putting together a solid year, but the Haunties will look to shut them down and continue their rampage of terror. It's going to be a really fun match to watch between two exciting teams. If you miss this one, you're probably a bad sports fan.

Of course, these two matches aren't the only important ones we have coming up. Today should be full of exciting play and potential upsets. Thank you for tuning in to TDN for your Altador Cup coverage. I'm Austin, and it sure is great to be back. As always, Neopia, stay cool... and have a blast...
