I'm not sure even a shiny trophy would make me less salty about losing an items worth millions, I admit!

I really need to be more patient. I sold both HELT and I think SHRX at somewhere around the 47 mark!!

If you don't get a response to the ticket, try pinging them on Facebook Messenger - that got me a really quick response when I couldn't activate my side... after a month of waiting on the ticket no less!! But this is one of the reasons why I use my shop for items under a million and the Trading Post for anything else!

I stayed well away from the capsules! I wanted my hard earned points to have a definite reward!! It's worth noting that my points tallies are incorrect now - the stamp and the background are trading at about 400,000np, making them better bets now than the foreground and the background which are both hovering around 190,000-195,000np. There isn't a lot in it, but the values have changed slightly since I did my calculations!

One of these is not like the others... Someone on a Facebook group did the comparisons way better than me!

I'm saving the low point items for next year now and selling the higher point items like Icy's and Battledome drops for the inflated prices.

Yeah, I thought that - they couldn't use the straight 'value' of the item as that is often woefully out of touch with the neopian economy of players... likewise rarity, some 'rare' items are all but useless and therefore worthless... others are actually worth millions. It would need to be based on the cheapest SSW/trading price and I can't see them implementing that bit of code!!

You can do daggers... but I'm not sure that has quite the same effect!! Strange how they'll allow for offensive weapons, but not for grooming implements used in more violent methods!

That's why the perspective looks so weird!!! The head is at a different angle to the body!!! I knew it looked odd but couldn't figure out why! But yes, the level of accomplishment between the recent releases and this is... noticeable!!

I'm not very good at remembering to buy things anyway. So I'll purchase the chap HS things when I can remember and stock up on all the other items as well!! I'll work on the principle that even if they do nerf them, I'll still have several hundred points worth... but yes, the Healing Potion XX is also on my list!

I thought they were leaves as well and therefore didn't see the point of them!! And yep, the tentacles are just odd. And it wouldn't be the first mutant pet not to have them either. Or was it? It's also a departure from the previous art style, which is what we saw with both the Marble Draik and the Water Poogle. It's just the different interpretation really worked with those, whereas this just looks... odd. Not as odd as the Ogrin, Fyora help it, but still... odd. The two brown fanarts are definitely my preferred take on the Mutant Vangagyre!!

What... what on earth happened here? I mean put it aside the older mutant species and I guess it's ok... but put it against the more detailed and nuanced mutants... and it's a cartoon mess! Good to know!! I think I spent around 400,000 total over several weeks stocking actively for this years CC - and I've made that bad and then some, so even with my last minute panic buying, it's worked out well. This following year, I'll make an effort to stockade 6 point items far earlier throughout the year - like not selling all my Battledome stuff immediately. I'm also going to try and stockpile a mix of Icy Snowballs and 8 point Healing Potions from the Healing Springs and hope they stay at the same sort of value!!

I've sold three necklaces, two Hegies and three foregrounds right now... just to see if I can sell my final three necklaces!! I am also still buying Icy's and selling them as well. Yep, it finishes on the 28th. I've just run out of things to donate in honesty and I'm unlikely to stockade enough for any more high level prizes now. Not a problem - I was keen to see which items I could buy that would have the largest np sale overall, and it made sense to share!!

The foregrounds were definitely a decent buy - I've sold 3 already!!! I was tempted, but wanted to see how my points totalled out before leaping. As I had done no prior planning at all!! the foreground honestly seems a hot seller at the moment!

Yes, I've got SSW so I was working off the lowest price on the market for them at that point. I just took the lowest possible value - as that's where I tend to sell at and divided it by the number of points the prize was worth in the shop. I suspect the stamp is so low because everyone put their points into it - stamps are known for their trading value, so it was the item most people leapt for. So the market got oversaturated quickly and the price has deflated in response. The weapon is probably low because the demand for it is low - it isn't a great weapon so it is only there as a collectors piece in honesty.

Well, I've jumped. I figure I'll make profit on any Icy's I now buy and any Battledome stuff I pick up rather than spending it on points. I'll only be able to afford the lowest tier items now anyway, so selling the 6 point items is quicker and easier!! I've gone for the Hegie and the Stamp for me, then bought a handful of foregrounds, necklaces and an extra Hegie for resale. Already sold one foreground! For the NC side of things; I really wanted the Pathway of Shells and Underwater Castle Background. I've then grabbed the Snorkelling Background and the Tropical Flowers Foireground with my remaining badges. I might see if I can find a decent trade for the Tropical Forest Background at some point, but it's not urgent. The ones I really liked were the shells and the underwater castle.

As @Angeló said, you don't need to use your own pet. Out of the three I have done, only one was a pet colour I owned.

Yep, sorry, I misread the description and thought it went to all three winner three times. Good spot. But yes, between frozen accounts and inactive accounts, I suspect there may be one or two still potentially accessible. Which makes it rarer than the Super Attack Pea, which is a 90 odd million neopoint item!! There was one on the TP in May 2020: But no price listed. The previous one was 2017!!

Hah! Go over the top, lots of frills and ruffles and excess decorations and it should meet the definition nicely. I think I have an idea... although, it's perhaps pushing the definition a little bit!!

So, we are coming to the end of this turbulent and rather chaos filled Charity Corner and so it is nearly time to tot up our total points and choose our final prizes. I have 'finished' with a grand total of 17,600 points and 30 NC badges, although a handful more points may be added by dint of Icy Snowballs and Battledome prizes etc in the coming week. With that in mind, I have run a few basic calculations on worth of prizes vs points spent. By dividing the current worth of the prizes in np by the number of points they cost, you can see a basic value scale as to what is worth the most and the least: Foreground: 152 Necklace: 160 Hegie: 148 Stamp: 122 Background: 146 Sword: 120 So the stamp and the sword are the items with the worst value for points, perhaps because that's what everyone leaps for. The Hegie and the Background are in the middle and the Foreground and the Necklace take the top spots. (As an aside, most of the lower tier prizes have under 100 'points', the plushie is at 84, the book at 45, the espresso at 36. The comb and the feast are actually the better low tier bets at 105 and 120 respectively.) On the NC side, you are likely better off trading for the items. All of last years CC items are worth a measley 1-2 caps on Waka and I can't see that changing for this year. I already traded one capsule to get the 12 point wig. If you have worthless NC items to burn, then it's just going to be a matter of preference over value from what I can see. Once I have determined exactly how my points are to be spent, I will update accordingly!

According to JN: "This item was awarded to the 1st place and 3rd place winners of each of the three Style Showdown themes in 2010." So there were literally nine of them in existence on the entire site in 2010. Since then some members may have left the site or been frozen and not have access to that item. The SW, TP and AH will only show items if it is currently being sold. If you want to find one you will need to post a lot on boards and possibly Reddit, but you are going to be looking at 70 million as a minimum for that kind of rarity of item!!

I do like the water colour - particularly these later ones where they are really making an effort on the textures of the pets. I agree that the swish on the tail and the ear are adorable!! I'm not sure about the armour... it might just be that it looks weird on the basic blue model, but I'm not keen currently. You never know, once I get a chance to play with it on JN's wardrobe, I might change my mind!
