Oh, 'Reddit luck' annoys people on Reddit as well, no doubt about that!! I have it as a followed community, but I'm not very active there at all.

I hadn't picked up the Corbin reference - I'm clearly out of touch! You're right on the base colour of the male, it's really striking. I hadn't noticed the pattern being used on both either! I think it's the shawl that makes the female just a little too cluttered. The plain shawl on the male makes the rest of the outfit stand out, whereas the patterned shawl adds to the chaos!

That's one of my pet peeves as well. It would be so nice to pick and choose completely. Especially with jewellery that could go with any custom! Yes, you'll definitely have to post images once you've got your zombie Queen!

If you're around for the Altador Cup this year join a team and go into the forums - I was Team Maraqua last year and the community spirit on the team page was quite something. I know Shenkuu has a few fans here as well! I think TDN strikes a far better balance than neopets does. There's no frankly ridiculous filter so you can't say words like cucumber and basement. There's a recognition that we are adults and whilst this should be kid friendly place, there's no censorship of real life events or personal milestones. Neopets is too far the other way and seem to have no recognition that the vast majority of their players are now adults with jobs, homes, families and possibly kids of their own to share the site with. There's no need to ban topics providing they are kept clean.

With a new year upon us, what are your achievements of last year and resolutions to come? Despite having taken a prolonged break from the site (Charity Corner being cancelled was possibly just the cherry on the cake!), I've managed a reasonable amount: - Pets: Finally made my Lutari Maraquan to fit the Maraquan Snowbunny and continued the trend with a Maraquan Kiko when that released (Premium Perk for the win). Morphed Huggleby into a Halloween Grundo as well! Also made Wytha a Plushie Krawk in the hopes of an eventual UC option. I've also kept working on my baby side going from one Baby Lupe to five babies; Yurble, Xweetok, Pteri and Lutari. My final pet of the year is my Grandad Pteri. I gave up on my Garlic Kiko as she turned Desert and I fell in love! - Petpets: The biggest achievement of the year by far was my Darigan Candychan for my Nightsteed. I still can't believe I actually bit the bullet! I have got petpets for most of my main pets now; a Woodland Rock for my Woodland Ruki, a Bat Boy for my Werelupe, a Bubbles for my Maraquan Kiko and a Plushie Dragoyle for my Plushie Draik. tdub still has his Feepit as I am trying to get it eaten by Turmy! My baby pets have largely fitting petpets; a grumpy Plumpy angel for my my flying Rikupicky, Snuffles the Christmas Orbulon for the Xweetok in the cold and a cute Plushie Eizzil for the broken egg. - Avatars; Well, I've squeaked from 248 to 279 which isn't too bad going, although I'm never going to be in the top reaches I don't think. The demise of Flash makes this even harder! I had fun with the pet avatars as I tried to make all the pets I adopted re-homable, so trained and painted them. And kept the Camoflage Kacheek in the process as she was just too cute to give up. She has a Tyrannian Dandan to match her custom. - Games: Despite the AC being a complete disaster, I managed double All-Star which funded the Darigan Candychan with the top AC prize! Resolutions? Given my current lack of interest, I guess the resolution should be to log in and do Food Club and Trudy's every day! I haven't managed a full round of Trudy's in months... I'd like to continue working on my petpets; my elderly Pteri and new Vandy need petpets, as does my baby Lutari (probably another Dandan). Huggleby has a cheap fill in so I need to think about her as well. tdub can wait until Turmy eats his petpet... Part of me wants a Krawk petpet for my Krawk, but they are also hella expensive. My end goal for tdub is a Kadoatie I think, so that can definitely wait. I also want a Meowclops, but I'm not sure on what pet... The new pet slots open new options. I've created a new Vandy that I want to make Toy and will have to consider what other pets I could add. I want the lab map so I can get those couple of avatars and continue doing adopt and re-home missions as well. I never had space for a labbie on my main before. I have a couple of spare floater pets on a side that I can't figure out what to do with either... My mutant side has barely been touched. I got my Mutant Jetsam but have made no other headway there. The problem is there is so little to do on the site now. I might see if I can finish off my silver Neoquest 2 run and look into playing one of the card games religiously to get the trophies maybe... Solitaire, I'm looking at you! So, how's everyone else doing and what are you planning?

Well, that could be a cheaper way to get a Desert Aisha once the clothes come down in price! The new outfit is actually nicer by a mile. It's a pity the brown Aisha is so much darker than the Desert one. Maybe Biscuit would work? Marble does very little for me, I must admit!

I don't much like Ogrins, but that Royal is pretty... if a bit cluttered for my liking. They've put a lot of detail into the outfits though. The regular outfit is plain but would work well in multiple customs so that's never a bad thing.

I created my Elderly Pteri (Grandad Eeyore) and just created a Vandy to make toy eventually (Fuzzbabies). I probably want a Mara Draik at some point, but need to think of a name.

The main difference is what you can say. Neopets is very strict on language, outside events and outside sites. You can't mention Reddit, Discord, Facebook etc on Neopets without fear of a ban. You can mention approved sites like TDN and Jellyneo. Language is obvious - no swearing on neopets, but Reddit doesn't care. Note to the wise - don't swear here either. It's not as strict as Neopets on outside events/sites but swearing is off limits. Neopets also bans all mentions of things like mental health, pregnancy etc. Entertainingly, if you get pulled up on it you;ll get a neomail telling you to talk to a trusted adult. Never mind the fact that most of us are now meant to be that trusted adult!

Wow! Generous benefactor indeed! All paint brushes are inflated due to pet slots and UC's possibly coming back so you got really lucky! I'm thinking about a Toy Vandy next. Those fuzzbabies are just so cute! EDIT: Discovered that Fuzzbabies is actually free as a name and immediately snaffled it. Hah, typically, I posted this then almost immediately went on Christmas break! I have played 55 hours of Skyrim since Christmas day... so not a lot else has been done in honesty! Thanks though! I'm back at work so I'll try to be more active... that's a bit of an ironic statement but hey ho! I'm hoping the UC prices aren't too high! I was hoping for 2000, which is $20 so bleeding steep to begin with. I'm half expecting them to be 5000-10,000NC which is frankly extortion. It wasn't so bad when I could get 2000NC for $7 from the Brazilian sellers but they've closed that loop hole now as well! If it's 5000NC, I can likely get two pets. If it's 10,000NC I pay do one. Any more than that and I'm out. I was hoping 2000NC for conversion. I'm now expecting closer to 5000-10,000! I am very tempted by the Toy Vandy myself! I just did my Elderly Pteri though so I'll hold off for a while! I love having them all in one place, I often forget to look at my sides, so this is awesome. Yeah, CC was cancelled as they were focussing on other things and probably couldn't cope with another catastrophe like last year and this years AC! I've got my Plushie Krawk who will be my first to unconvert depending on prices. I would love a Faerie Draik as well, but I'm not paying inflated prices for paint brushes at the moment. I got lucky with my Elderly - first it can't be unconverted and I also missed the inflation after the pet slots came out by buying on the same day!

Well, I moved all my 'main' pets over to my actual main, shuffled more pets to my main side and checked all my side NC items to see which ones 'I couldn't live without'. Came to 7. And I had an extra box so made it 8... I was trying for gold last time I think... so infuriating!!!

I've been unusually inactive over the last... four months plus. I haven't managed to fit a Trudy bonus once. Have rarely remembered to place Food Club bets... All of my 'main' pets are in the same place for the first time in years; old and new: Plus a new addition of my much wanted Grandad Pteri. And all my nice petpets are in the same place as well! Now I just need to... not get bored and wander off... Neopets is making that difficult at the moment though. Between cancelled Charity Corner, NFT's, a dearth of working non-Flash games... it's impressive that I stayed invested for quite as long as I did after the demise of Flash! And even the pet slots were more expensive than I was 'hoping' for. I bought the 10 pack for my main as I'd got NC and it was 'closer' to my anticipated price of 250NC per slot. I dread to think of how much the UC conversions are going to cost.

I'm greedy. My main was full. My main side was full. My backup side was almost full. My baby side was full because there's one adult pet I was waiting to move and then pet slots were announced so I held off so I'd only have to move it once. My mutant side was almost full, although only one of them is actually a mutant as of yet. I now have 13 on my main (including my new Elderly Pteri). 5 on my main side (I might move another one over, but out of all of them it would be the one that needs 6 boxes to bring the darn custom along with her. My baby side has five, mutant has five and my backup side has two that I have no attachment to and need to figure out what to do with. The feeding solution? Neolodge. Cockroach hotel, 28 days, 5np a day. Sorted! I might be tempted to my main side and/or baby side. Baby side first though, chances are. Purely because the closet there is big enough for several more pets. I got my new Grandad Pteri to celebrate the occasion! I think I want a wintery background on him, but haven't got one that fits and can't be bothered to go into the trading hub right now. It's a bad idea anyway as everyone can buy GBC's so few people are looking for them! Something like this..

Yep, you can buy on any account as it's NC only. For the first time in a long time all my original pets are all together along with some of the newer pets I've been so proud of painting! And I get to see all my petpets together!

What... on earth happened here... Is it 'bring your kid to work day' again by any chance? And that bow is hideous. It's like something your great-great-aunt Tilda would knit for you and insist you wore to school. The eyebrows look like they've been glued on.... it is almost channelling the Get Off My Lawn Paint Brush, but it's more like a kid playing dress up. Although, my first glance at that monstrosity was without the bow and astonishingly it looks even worse: It looks like a psychotic, mass murdering thing with those eyes to begin with, but the inclusion of the shadow of the bow even if the bow isn't worn is... a baffling decision. And then the missing line art on the neck... Apparently it's inspired by an extinct penguin. Which is a fine idea and all, but what the heck happened to the quality we've seen lately!? I do like the outfit. It's a tad fussy for me, but it's well drawn and coloured. EDIT: Someone on Reddit has done a flawless re-design of this that is the quality I've come to expect from new colours:

Oooh, now this was the Vandy update I was after! More than makes up for my disappointment at Lutari day!! I adore both colours but the Furby one is definitely the winner. I think the outfit would work well generically if the robe didn't have the Brightvale logo on it honestly. The robe could go for a scholar or a wizard/witch. The hat is more specific, but still. I wish they'd made that neck piece a separate item so you could use the robe without being tied to a specific Neopets land. Still use the fanart base, but make it more suitable for general customisation.

That was the day I changed booster arenas so got 44:1 and 16:1 as I recall. Not bad, but not as good! Made up for it yesterday. Garet tanked. I randomly decided to do my own thing and got a decent 28:1 or something like that anyway!

I got very confused by this. I thought the shark was the Mara Jetsam... nope, that's the Mara Grarrl. *facepalm I like the way they are introducing player designs to the site! The lutari and Jetsam are particularly good!

Not keen on the colour scheme here although that's going to be a personal thing. I do like how raggedy it is and the stitching lines.

The floof chest feathers caught me as well. I like the ones on the wing, but the head feathers are a tad odd. That outfit is definitely impressive!
