Hi everyone! I was wondering in what position everyone sleeps? I sleep on my side for the most part, and I've noticed I wake up sore many a morning. I've been trying to vary it, but I'm so addicted to side sleeping - how about all of you?

Primarily I sleep on my tummy, but lately I've been confined to my left side while I sleep. It's not as comfortable as laying on my tummy normally is, but it's better then waking up with my leg(s) asleep. I'm currently pregnant with my second child, so no more tummy laying for me for a while. I used to sleep on my side all the time, but I don't find it as comfortable anymore.

I'll just toss and turn really. When I get to bed I start on one side/partly back, just before I really fall asleep I turn to the other side/partly tummy. when I wake up I've moved up as much as is possible. Pillow jammed against the wall and my shoulders. I am a very light sleeper and every time I wake up I am positioned differently.

Once, I was having a nightmare and woke up with my head were my feet usually are, totally confused I tried to turn on the light but couldn't find my way in my room until i figured out I had turned 180 degrees in bed. So, yeah, I turn a lot.

I literally can't sleep if I'm not sleeping on my stomach. But when I wake up, I'm always flat on my back lol =)

Hahaha! I'm exactly the same! I also sleep with one arm curved around my head, with the other flat against my side.

I am such a bad sleeper. I think I fall asleep on my stomach most of the time, and I have a really bad habit of putting my arms under the pillow which I guess props my head up but eventually hurts my jaw!

I also have a habit of putting them under myself - I once even woke up with a dead arm..

I also have a talent for taking up the whole bed - I love having my face at the top edge of the pillow and bed (getting all the cool air) and then my legs will be at the opposite bottom corner... wrapped around all the blankets.

This has made me want to go back to bed..!

I sleep kinda on my side, kinda on my back, curled up in the fetal position - sorta like Rebecca, but I don't splay all over the bed xD I typically just stay in one place during sleep, though I can toss and turn if I have a nightmare or if the temperature is too hot/too cold.

I generally toss and turn before I get to sleep, but I usually end up on my side. But I also move around while I'm sleeping, so sometimes I'll wake up splayed across the bed, with the covers kicked off.

I used to sleep on my back then switched to side sleeping and it got uncomfortable so I switched to stomach sleeping but I had to switch back to back and now I can't sleep as well since every way I try is uncomfortable but if your trying to vary sleep position be careful about your shoulders and back or it will cause problems that will make it hard to sleep

You sound like me *feels bad for you* I already have issues with my shoulders and back :( I think sleeping on my side has caused my shoulders issue and my tendency to sleep kind of half twisted, with my torso laying on side and my hips and legs kind of twisted to be like I were sleeping on my stomach, is what is doing my back in. It's so comfortable at first though, lol :tired:

Guys, you're quite funny... ^^ So many random questions on this forum! Love it! ^^

I usually sleep in any position that allows me to breathe properly. It'd usually be on my right side... that is, when I can shut down my brain and finally fall asleep. :P

I can't breathe if I sleep on my stomach (dang lungs!) and trying to sleep on my back usually hurts, so side it is. One side usually just feels "right", though it's more often my left ;) Lately I've been all curled up because it's gotten so cold, but I always wake up in a totally different position than the one I fell asleep in. I guess I'm pretty typical like that.

I used to sleep on my side until I hurt my back and then I was advised by a back specialist that its better to sleep on your back on a good mattress so I try to do that but I usually wake up on my side..cant sleep on my front at all ...I squish parts of me lol

I've been told I'm weird for sleeping the way I do. I usually find myself on my stomach with one arm under the pillow and one on top with one leg straightened and the other bent with the ankle resting on the back of the other leg.

Sometimes I'll sleep on my side for part of the night, but I absolutely can't sleep on my back. I don't know why, but trying to fall asleep that way makes me feel anxious.
