Wembly Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Haha, that's true. Like every time a phone rang EVERYONE went to check their phone. At least personalizing the ringtones helps avoid that situation. Quote
Seliphra Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 I wish I had a cell-phone...can't afford one right now DX Quote
Spritzie Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 I still think my phone is ringing, because several people everywhere I go, has the same one. Or the same one as my husband's and I tell him to answer his phone. Quote
Manta Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 I use Phonezoo to make my ringtones...I have a bunch of anime theme songs, video game songs, and random things as ringtones. :D Since my cell phone is also my alarm clock, I've been waking up to the Super Smash Bros Brawl theme for the past two years now :) For Phonezoo, you can either record your own stuff, or you use mp3s you own and upload them. Then it gets sent to your phone in a text. It's really awesome, and I haven't had a problem using it yet :) Quote
Divya Bean Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Bleck, Katy Perry... The only song of hers I like is Hot N' Cold. Wait...*checks* I'm using the Glee version. The show, you heard of it? I have one of those radio alarm clocks that goes off with whatever song is on Q102 (my fav station) at the time. Unfortunately, that song stays stuck in my head FOR THE REST OF THE DAY or I think that song is part of my dream and so I dont wake up. :laughingsmiley: Quote
Spritzie Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 I used to use the radio to wake up. Now I use a kind of Asian sounding ringtone. Quote
Sofa Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 I have another bit of super-loud brass band music, a piece called 'Cossack', as an alarm. I forgot to turn it off one weekend & it pretty much shocked my boyfriend awake, lol. Suffice to say I'm not a morning person so need something to wake me up properly! Quote
Spritzie Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 I've always been the same way. It has to be loud to wake me. But I'm a lot easier to wake now. Even my phone on vibrate, or my husband's phone ringing across our apartment wakes me up. So I like to be woken up as gently as possible. I want to get one of those alarm clocks that starts off really quiet, and slowly gets louder. That way, I wake up to the lowest volume possible to wake me. Quote

Spritzie Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 That wouldn't bother me. Plus, the ringtone I use for an alarm is a repeat type thing as well. Quote
Manta Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 I wake up really easily, which I think comes from years of conditioning myself to jump out of bed and get ready ten minutes before school. :P Which can be both a good thing and a bad thing... xD Quote
Spritzie Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 I've gotten used to getting ready quick, because I like sleeping as much as possible. I used to wake up at 7:10 to leave my apartment for work at 7:20. Now, I wake up with 50 minutes, but most of that is spent badgering my husband to wake up. (He's a total night person. He'd rather be up at night, and sleep during the day.) Quote
Theresa2 Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Iam glad you guys can get up like that I cant get motavated untill I have my coffe and resitting the alarm mutilble times in a row in the moring Quote
Divya Bean Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 My bus comes at 7:40 am and I usally get up at 7 am. Not too late, not too early! :laughingsmiley: Quote
jumpingbeans Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 My bus comes at 7:40 am and I usally get up at 7 am. Not too late, not too early! :laughingsmiley: My bus comes at 7:40 too, yet I get up at six. Mainly because I come on TDN then too. :) Quote
Unstream Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Wow, you guys are lucky. 7:40 is when my school starts - 6:50 is when my bus comes :tired: Luckily, I drive now, so I usually try to leave home by 7:20. Quote
Tyler. Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 I don't like waking up, I wake up at 6:45 on weekdays, my school doesn't have a bus so my dad drives me Quote
Tedhaun Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 I actually arise at 8:00 AM EST on weekdays for work. I do sleep at 3:00 PM EST and wake up in the night myself. Quote
Masaryk Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 When I have to teach, I tend to wake up at 7:30. Almost all of the schools in my city start at 9:00 (a couple start at 8:45 and one starts at 9:15), so depending on how far I have to drive, I have anywhere from half an hour to an hour to get ready for work and mess around on the internet. Summer is a different story entirely. Last summer, I was sharing a vehicle with the wildlife biologist (I'm a plant biologist), and we had to be to our work site by sunrise for her to do bird surveys. So I would have to wake up as early as 4:30 or 5:00 am, some days, so that we could drive 100+ km (60 miles) into the middle of nowhere by the time the sun came up. But, if I'm working with my boss (another botanist), she doesn't like mornings (neither do I), so she doesn't want to start work before 9 or 10 am. Quote
Manta Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Most of my classes start at 10 :P Except for 8AM lab, so i need to be up at 7 for that :laughingsmiley: I love choosing my own schedule :) Quote
-Ryan Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Had an extremely interesting day... o.o' How was everyone else's day? I leave for school at 7, usually get there around 7:10, and class starts at 7:24. I wake up at 6 to get ready, but more importantly get on TDN. :P And I usually hang out with friends during that time before school starts. Quote
Divya Bean Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 My bus comes at 7:40 too, yet I get up at six. Mainly because I come on TDN then too. :) :laughingsmiley: I used to wake up early and then go on TDN, but then I got too lazy...a growing girl needs her sleep! Had an extremely interesting day... o.o' How was everyone else's day? What day of yours isnt interesting? XD Mine was quite interesting as well...:shiftyeyes_anim: Lets just say...the hoax worked! Quote
-Ryan Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Well, most of it was spent a the park. ... With that human sized hamster ball mentioned previously. xD Oh and I found out that trying to hop through and over a crowd of people because someone said "Ryan, come here" is not a good way to get through, and will likely get you kicked out of the library. It was alot of fun though. xD Quote
Tyler. Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 my day was boring, average, I'm still bored Quote
Spritzie Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 I wake up as late as I can, to still make it where I'm going. Will, my HS started at 7am originally. (Though I had a 1st period study hall that I got exempt from so I didn't have to show up until 2nd period at 7:45.) But when the district decided kids needed more sleep, they bumped it to 7:45 for 1st period. (Of course, after I was out of HS.) Quote
