Tyler. Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 this is not the place for this to be discussed Quote
antiaircraft Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Well this is the OTB, so there's really no reason it can't be discussed here. :P That aside, I just read some interesting warnings on various Android applications... apparently you're not supposed to blindly follow the directions Google Maps gives you. I would never have guessed. :rolleyes_anim: Funnily enough, there was actually a case a few months ago where some woman sued Google because she walked out onto the middle of a road and got run over... Quote
Tyler. Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 That's one of the stupidest lawsuits I've heard in a while xD Quote
Manta Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 hahaha someone really did that? sometimes humanity boggles my mind... :P Ugh, we're getting more snowstorms tomorrow...my violin lesson might be canceled. Herp derp. Anybody have any suggestions for a video game song for me to try and play on the violin? :D Quote
antiaircraft Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Unfortunately people are just that dumb. And to top it all off, I recall that the 'don't follow these directions blindly' warning was already in place at that time. o_O And, well, you're asking the wrong guy if you want song recommendations. xD Quote
Manta Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Hahaha wow that's really silly. Is this really what our legal system has come to? Geez people xD Quote
Sofa Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 The fact that bags of peanuts have 'Warning : May contain nuts' on the packaging always gets me. On the one hand, I'd hope that if I'd bought a bag of peanuts it would in fact contain nuts, and also, how stupid would someone with a nut allergy have to be to not realise? There ought to be some sort of 'common sense' rule whereby people can't get sued for things that anyone with half a brain cell would know...like McDonalds and their 'Warning : Contents may be hot' coffee cups. It's ridiculous. Quote
antiaircraft Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Ridiculous it may be, but it's not quite on the level of software patents, which are just plain crap... Quote
Wembly Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Ugh, we're getting more snowstorms tomorrow...my violin lesson might be canceled. Herp derp. Anybody have any suggestions for a video game song for me to try and play on the violin? :D You should play the super mario brother theme song, yeah I know, that's probably very over done but it's so cool! Also I don't really know or any other classic video game songs. Quote

I remember reading about that. :laughingsmiley: I can't believe someone would see something was unsafe, but follow it anyway, because Google Maps said so. Quote
Masaryk Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Ugh, we're getting more snowstorms tomorrow...my violin lesson might be canceled. Herp derp. Anybody have any suggestions for a video game song for me to try and play on the violin? :D There's a video game cover band, called Select Start, that uses violin, flute, and cello, along with keyboard and bass. They did amazing covers of Kraid's theme, from Super Metroid, and The Legend of Zelda theme. I tried to find their website, since they have all their mp3s available there, but it seem to have vanished. :( Quote

Also I don't really know or any other classic video game songs. I play that a lot actually xDD But I should try and record it eventually :D There's a video game cover band, called Select Start, that uses violin, flute, and cello, along with keyboard and bass. They did amazing covers of Kraid's theme, from Super Metroid, and The Legend of Zelda theme. I tried to find their website, since they have all their mp3s available there, but it seem to have vanished. :( Oh, that sounds really sweet! I would love to make a band myself, but it requires other people who play by ear (i can't read or write music very well) and the time to get together. :P Quote
brandongamer Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Aww, HAMS is gonna move? :( I never joined JN...I guess I have to quit HAMS then...Ah well. I don't really have time to be active there :/ I never joined JN either - how has it been over the years? Quote
Manta Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 I never joined JN either - how has it been over the years? I have no idea :laughingsmiley: like I said I never joined. I use JN for dailies and wishlists, mostly :P Quote
brandongamer Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 I have no idea :laughingsmiley: like I said I never joined. I use JN for dailies and wishlists, mostly :P Oh, ahh. That's what they're good for. =P Hasn't JN being around for a long time? Quote
Manta Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Oh, ahh. That's what they're good for. =P Hasn't JN being around for a long time? haha yeah :D Probably. I remember it being around when I made my toadsdontexist account in 2006, so at least since then :P Quote
Divya Bean Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 I use JN for the wearable database. So helpful! They have all of them, including the ones from way way back in the day from the NC Mall. It is very useful when trading NC items. Quote
Spritzie Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Same here. I usually use the item database. Then I check for news when I'm bored. Quote
Divya Bean Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 I find TDN's News much easier to read, format-wise. I havent visited the JN Forums in a while.... Quote
livvy Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 I'm a total TDN loyalist. This is the first place I found, and I've been loyal ever since. Quote
Unstream Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 I actually never used TDN when I played Neopets except for AC coverage for my first AC. I used Neo_Zafara for my dailies (it was a pet page) and SunnyNeo for my news/avatar searches. I messed around with the avatar log here, but never really used it. Quote
-Ryan Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 I'm pretty loyal to TDN. Bescause of the possible HAMS base change though, i've been pretty active around JN. Quote
Sofa Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 I use Neo_Zafara for dailies out of habit, but otherwise I only use TDN. Mostly for keeping up to date and for the avatar checklist & solutions. Everything I need is here :) Quote
Spritzie Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 TDN is the only site I've used for dailies and event/plot coverage. (I'm so used to the exact layout of our Dailies page, I can't use anywhere else, even those couple of times TDN was down.) I usually check SN and JN's new page once in awhile, to see what they've added. And I use SN for lookups sometimes, and JN for their item database. Quote
Theresa2 Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 TDN is the only site I've used for dailies and event/plot coverage too this the best place to find all the infomation I need. Hi everyone it been such a long time since Ive been on how is everyone Quote
