I remember when they changed Yooyuball and it was SO different and felt SO unplayable. I was so irritated that I actually made my own AC-themed stationery and hand wrote a letter and mailed it to them. They never replied, but I felt better.
I am preparing myself for the upcoming AC by having the lowest standards I can possibly have. It's going to be a broken mess and everyone's going to be angry and complain incessantly...  but we'll get through it like we always do and have a decent amount of fun and forget about how grumpy we are after a while... until the next disaster!

Oh, I jpined the movement to send them a ton of faxes a day that was going on at the time. And joined a guild for the first time. I was outraged! I think I stopped playing for a long time shortly afterwards in honesty!
But yes, I really want this years event to go well and be of a decent standard... unfortunately, I don't want to set my hopes too high as they are destined to be dashed!

Yeah, that's my exact fear. I recall an editorial or something saying the games would be released as a 'trial run' for practice and feedback... I'd have expected that to happen by now if it was going to happen at all. Let's be honest, how much feedback do they really hope to implement change on in less than a month!?
The thing is that people are annoyed by the poor implementation of the currently converted games, but they don't form a big part of the site. However when you have an event like the AC where people have to play the same game hundreds/thousands of times through a month in order to get the decent prizes... that game needs to be up to scratch. And you forgot Igloo Garage with its 'suspicious score', Pink Runner not carrying scores over across levels and Fashion Fever that now requires you to dress up the pet to get a measley 300np.
I can still to this day recall the hoo-hah when they changed the YYB from the simplistic format to what was until this year the current format. And yes, they fixed some of the really obnoxious things like originally you couldn't skip through the goal scoring animation, but in reality they said like it or lump it and the player base eventually settled down.
I'd like to say that was about 7 years ago? I may be horribly wrong about that. But it was when I was working in my current place of employment for the first time... I spent three years or so in two other universities and have been back there for ... nearly three years. I'm fairly confident it was relatively late in my time in the A Team, but not in my last six-twelve months. So that puts it around 7-8 years ago...
And let's be honest... it's not as though TNT have hugely improved their communication skills since then... *cough* Charity Corner *cough*. Or their organisation skills, *cough* three years to prepare for the demise of Flash *cough*. Ot put more attention into the non-NC aspects of the site... *cough* three retired mystery capsules in as many months but no new converted games *coughs*. I really ought to get this throat tickle looked at...
So what I fear we're going to see is a perfectly presented NC site to the tournament, but at a slight mark up from last years prices. A reasonable staff tournament because let's be honest, it would be difficult to screw that up. And an absolute hot mess of a main event with barely working games, glitches galore and possibly missing side games because they forgot to convert them...
Call me a pessimist.

So yesterday I found myself a nice 90,000np bargin at 1np.
Today, whilst buying fishing junk (I'm obsessed with prepping for CC, I tell you... I have some 19,000 items in my SDB now), I came across a bleeding Mutant Petpet Paint Brush priced at just 50,000np. Current TP asking price? 1.2mil! That's another one of my petpets sorted then - a mutant Ona for my Mutant Draik!
*EDIT: I'm feeling guilty having checked the user profile. It's a brand new user. I'm neomailing to confirm it's them I bought from and I'll send a few goodies over to bring the price up to a vaguely reasonable point...

I have to admit, if I'd been more on the ball when I bought it, conscience might have overcome me. But by the time I realised what it was worth I was several hundred shops down the line and had no idea who it might be returned to!!
So my silly conscience can have no dealings in the matter at all!

Unpopular opinion, but... this was long overdue. Flash is horribly outdated to the point of it being a security risk. Neopets should have been updated long ago, rather than moments before the deadline. Now many of the site features aren't working properly because of that.

You could switch it just to do the flash stuff, then set it back? I'll not leave mine set on yesterday's date other than for that.
I've been expecting a bunch of stuff to be switched today, but now I realise that may be me being foolish? TNT can always let us down, after all, no matter how low our expectations. *~*;;

I want to like Steampunk so bad but it's way too flat or not shiny enough? Something about it just... missing. There's no pizazz or it feels incomplete? Can't really put my finger on it. 
The outfit is drawn nicely but not something that's really wearable imo but I'm sure there are people who love it. 

I think, this entire outfit, is basically what happens when you leave a kid alone in a room with said shag rug, and a big pair of scissors.

I haven't looked on the boards to see the reaction to this, I hope the majority are liking the colour and not ranting about the sudden switch from marbles to actual marble.

The angry meepit eyes look great with it though... gosh isn't it a shame that you can't switch between paint brushes once you have one... now there's a neo update that could be fun!

So...use a paint brush on a particular pet and they then would always have the option to use that colour. Just that pet, not a reuseable on any pet of yours thing. So in the end, after spending a gazillion or so NP, you could cycle through every single paint brush option depending on your customisation whims.
Anyways, back on topic!

For a couple of days I set a timer every half an hour but that just made me annoyed lol
 

So essentially they screwed up... and are trying to cover it now... why does this not surprise me...

They have been removing new Corona/Covid names since the beginning of the pandemic. However, they should add it to the blocked list to prevent it from being used to begin with. It would save a lot of hassle.

This is one of the last people to win on the Wishing Well, I often check out the lookups of interesting usernames because I'm nosy!  but I LOVE this guy's pet names!

I guess this guy isn't the best person to have as your owner though, judging by all the sad faces.  😧

The worst part with those kinds of items is that even when you can afford it, and have decided to throw all your NP at it... you can't always guarantee you'll get a response in time from a seller. 😞 Sorry about your luck!
