I play Darigan Dodgeball on a regular basis since it's so quick to play and an easy few nps, and I definitely notice this happening a lot. My advice is to keep your mouse/trackpad clicked down even after you get hit with a ball and then once the end screen comes up, move your cursor away from the send score button before un-clicking. 

Both petpets are really cute! I like the previous spring pets they've released. It would be interesting if they would release a fall color too. Snow and Christmas pretty much encompass winter and you could argue that Mystery Island is kind of like summer since they're beachy. So the one they'd be missing is fall :3

I think you made a wise decision on this one.  lol.  Usually when Sway is up, they win.  That isn't always the case, but usually.  Brutes is a tough one to get (pun intended- lol).

This is probably the best idea. I had to sift through my SDB, and while most of it was junk, I'm certain I probably threw away some things that were at least a little valuable. Like I said before, though, if you find a shop with hundreds of the same junk item for cheap, that can be helpful.

Good luck to you as well! I think what I'm going to do is make a list of 10-15 different items and collect ONLY those items. It might take longer, but oh well...I guess I don't have much reason to be in any hurry.

So I've spent the last week or so trying to get the Rubbish avatar, but I wanted to make sure I'm going about it the right way (one of multiple "right" ways?)
 
According to the TDN avatar solution, the avatar is "Awarded when discarding some number of items, either all at once or over an extended period of time. Usually around 5000 items."
 
Does anyone know if it's actually confirmed that the discarding can be over an extended period? TDN is the only place I've seen that indicates that--everything else I've read doesn't really specify, although one actually claims that you have to do it at a certain time of day! I read through this old thread on TDN, but it wasn't very specific either, and hasn't been updated in a few years. 
 
So, to sum up, from what I can tell, we still don't have a confirmed, 100% sure solution for it?
 
I've been snatching up every Rotten Left Shoe I can find, but ~5000 items is a lot to gather, and I really don't have the patience (or time, really) to first collect them all and then discard them all at once. I've been discarding a few hundred items each day as I get them, and am probably up around 1000 right now, but I just wanted to check and see if anyone has any additional information before I waste time and nps discarding several thousand more items.

Have you tried the Chocolate Ballroom Background? I think it would suit your pet perfectly, especially if you add the Chocolate Chunk Foreground .

I like the Raining Doughnuts Background best, since it gives the Xweetok something to sit on rather than looking like it's just floating in the air :P The Pretzel Background is also cute though, and the Sugar Cookie Wings are a great addition to the Chocolate colour in all of your options!!

I used to always just use my shop to sell the things I got from dailies, the Battledome, Random Events, etc. However, I have somehow managed to acquire over 2,000 different types of items in my SDB... so now, my shop is mostly dedicated to trying to clear it out. I got the Packrat avatar without even meaning to  :P 

Ooh, and to answer your other questions.. my shop is size 22 (holds 110 items) which, for me, is a bit too big only because i can never seem to get everything priced before the Shop Wiz cuts me off & makes me wait  :ohno: Darn refresh limits! And no adveritising here. I just try to always have the lowest price (or close to it) in order to bring shoppers in!

I never saw the appeal of the transparent pets...I think just a skeleton version could be cool, but showing the skin and organs always kind of squicked me. Shoyru tends to be one of the cutest species in any color, though, and I suppose that more or less holds true here. In addition to the smile line, I think the eyelash silhouette is a bit odd as well...but of course it's so important to distinguish between the genders...  -_-

As for what to do with the potion, well, obviously that's up to you. If you want a Pirate Usul, go for it. If you don't, sell it and use the nps for something you actually want.
 
If you do want to sell it, the Trading Post is probably your best bet. Shops have a maximum price of 99,999 nps, and the potion is definitely worth more than that (a quick search indicates that the going price is 350-400k). The good news is that you got it for free, so whatever you sell it for is pure profit!
 
On the other hand, if you use it on a pet and then decide you actually don't want a Pirate Usul, there's always the option of pet trading. It's not something I ever got into myself, but a lot of people do it! 

These are my suggestions for what they are worth.  You don't need two shields.  You need a healer though.  For your hp, I would probably keep the leaf shield, trade the shield of the north wind and go with a Lesser healing scroll.  I think a greater healing scroll may be too much at this time although you could go with that if you prefer.  I would trade the gilded war hammer for a ridiculously heavy battle hammer.  Get rid of the trumpet of deafening and use either an Ultranova (which also gives healing along with 11 damage icons) or a battle muffin.  Although only one use, you can get 15 icons for cheap.  Good luck, happy battles.

A NQ game is also unique to your pet (not your user account), so if you think your game may have disappeared, make sure you have the correct pet as your active!

To be perfectly honest, my music tastes haven't changed much since I first start playing Neopets. I think I was in sixth, or maybe seventh grade then, and now I'm a year out of college, but I still can't get enough of Fall Out Boy and Panic! at the Disco. And I have to say, their new albums are GREAT.

I think pet trading is a thing, but I've never really understood it. Same with the Altador Plot--I don't really have any idea what it is, and at this point, I feel like it's too late to ask :P So you're definitely not alone in that regard. Hopefully being more involved with TDN will help keep you up to date on that kind of thing! Best of luck!

Boo, no!  The altador plot is the only plot that remains active.  It's super involved, and there are tons of steps, but luckily there are guides that exist to walk you through it bit by bit.
It's worth doing just for another site event trophy, imo.  TDN's guide is what walked me through the whole plot, and my mom is currently using it to get through it, lol.
 
Aside from that, welcome!  I'm not really into pet-trading, but I could imagine it would be fun as long as you have certain goals before getting into it.
I completely agree that the site is much more enjoyable now that I'm older.  I know how to get involved now; I know how to follow the news, check offsite, and actually utilize things.  It's a different world entirely.

All wonderful goals! I had forgotten how many cool things there are to do on the game. Thank you all for humoring me and giving me ideas of what to do when I'm bored :P

It seems like quite a bit has changed in the last two years or so since I was active on Neo. Now with KQ and Habitarium down, along with the forums slowing to a crawl, etc., I was wondering what everyone's priorities are around the site these days.

Personally, I'm not really sure where I want to focus my energy this time around. I'm thinking avatars, since I've finally accumulated some of the monetary resources needed to get the harder ones. But it's also a very finite task, since new avatars don't come out all that often and eventually you'll have all or most of the ones you're able to get. 
 
Anyway, please feel free to share your perspectives! I'm always interested to know what brings other people to Neo and what keeps them there for as long as a lot of us have stayed (albeit off and on...)!
