A few weeks ago I turned a paper for my sociology class in 15 minutes late. I told my instructor that I knew it was a late submission and he told me that he would dock off points for it being late and that he would grade it after everyone else's. 
 
No big deal, it did drop my grade by A LOT but almost three weeks later he graded it. I only lost 5% of my grade on the paper, for it being late. 
 
 
I'm thankful that he took the time to grade my assignment and input the grade into the grade book. 
 
From this I've learned not to procrastinate on assignments and to have patience with others.

So I started working at the community library in my subdivision back in August, which I have been going to since 2002 (actually, the same year I started NP!). I've only been working there for two months now, but today my Director emailed me a $25 amazon gift card and said that they are impressed with me and they're grateful to have me work there!
This feels like a NP random event, but in real life.
I was actually so confused by this that I emailed her back asking if she was sure she sent it to the right person - she said she was sure.

Sweet!!! I finally got the lottery avatar! (I've been playing every day for about a month). I also matched all 6 and was the only winner today, so hopefully I get a trophy too!

I recommend any Terry Pratchett books if you've not tried him out already :yes: I get what you mean about Hannibal, it's a good story, but any book that's a bit intense can leave you with after effects, can't it.

I know I've posted here earlier, but I'm gonna drop in to add another comment - if you're finding it hard to maintain the friendship with someone after breaking up with them, it's best to take a break from seeing them/talking to them, in order to give both of you some time alone to heal and reflect on thoughts and the like. Once you feel like you've had enough time apart, try being friends again. If it just doesn't work, it doesn't work, unfortunately. As I said previously, it all depends on the personalities of both parties and their intentions. If someone doesn't want to be friends, it's unfortunate and can be painful, but it's best to respect them and just leave it be.

Congrats on moving! 100's is how it usually is in Arizona, minus the humidity of course. I don't think I could live in Florida during the summer.

After 4 1/2 hours of lugging boxes and running around to get basic stuff I'm finally moved into my dorm room. I'm so tired and sweaty. It was 115 degrees outside with a heat advisory... They decided to move people in during the hottest part of the day -___- But all is good! I'm ready to start a new chapter in my life!!

So far so good, I understand what's going on better and the backstories are a bit heart breaking. The whole story line (so far) reminds me of something, but I can't put my finger on it..
 
Season one is good so far (I'm now on episode 7) I'm looking forward to season 2 and I'll watch seasons 3 and 4 with caution.  

It's completely normal to feel nervous right before leaving for college! Make sure you take care of yourself, I know from experience that it's easier said than done, but taking care of yourself before will let things fall into place easier. It's good that you care about your grades, it shows that you have ambition, but don't worry so much to the point of breaking down. You're going to do great and have a lot of fun!! It sounds like she's letting you do what you want, despite it being totally not what she really wants to do, so kudos to her! I'd say you can guarantee that she's looking at it from the money side of things, because that's often the very first thing that parents think about at times like these. Some parents would rather their kid took some dead end job in McDonalds that makes them totally miserable, rather than persuing their dream; simply because their dream isn't guaranteed to give them financial security. Yep, if she's managing to hold back all these parental fears, and not lay down the law and stop you from doing something you really want to do, then she deserves a big hug. :D
