  1. Well, you don't have to try again. If you don't want to, then that's a perfectly valid reason not to. (It's a game, and games should be fun, after all. )
  2. I'm not a fan of this game either (although the controls make more sense to me than those of Ugga Smash), but what helps is that there isn't really any time restraint. Taking it slow helped me, although the levels with enemies who appear randomly can be quite difficult. JellyNeo has a guide with links to the lay-out of each level, so you can study those to know where the potions are, and whether or not there are any enemies close to the potions. (Just the enemies who follow a set path though, not the enemies that wander/jump around all over the place.) If your high score is 380, that means you finished level 2 once. Finishing level 3 will get you enough points to beat Abi. Good luck!
  3. I know it is, but if in any way possible, I prefer finding a team mate I've at least interacted with before. As it turns out, my mum managed to beat AAA as well, so I teamed up with her. ?
  4. Is anyone still looking for someone to challenge AAA with today? I've got an AAA score ready to send.
  5. It's not just you, I'm quite surprised by Abigail's score. I'm going to try for AAA, but I remember playing this game for aaaaages for a previous DD (or GMC) to get the score, and my high score is 827, so I'm thinking 800 isn't going to come easy. (Especially with my laptop being super laggy these days. ?) (*Edit: I was wrong; I beat AAAs score in one try and beat my own high score in the process. No clue how.)
  6. Yeah, exactly. I always wonder how they come up with those scores. I tried to decide who to challenge based on the prices the prizes are going for... These were the cheapest I found for both AAA... ... and Abi: So I challenged Abi, and spent 1400 NP on AAAs prize.
  7. I guess this is one of those games where it really pays off if you happen to have played it a lot, which is the case for me. I think it was the first game trophy I ever got, and somehow those shapes stay with you; it's almost like muscle memory, I don't even have to think about where the pieces go, even though I hardly ever play it anymore. But I can totally see how these scores can be challenging if you never play this game/aren't good with these kinds of games. (Sometimes the most frustrating thing is simply to get the piece in the exact right place, so the game will accept it. That's probably also why I've never been able to well in 'hard mode'.) (I haven't sent my score in yet, as I'm still debating whether or not to challenge AAA, or just go with Abi, as I like her prize better. It'll probably be Abi.)
  8. ... Chias weren't part of this round's theme. ?
  9. As far as I know, that hasn't been confirmed. I think it surprised most people when it became available last year (at least, that's how I remember it). So you could always try to aim for 15 AAA challenges this year, but there's a good chance there won't be an avatar. (Or that the requirements for it changed again.) Hard to tell at this point.

  11. I suggest always trying to see if you can get the score first, and only then challenging AAA or Abi (perhaps in a different tab, to be safe, although I've heard people say you can just challenge them in the same tab as the game). Then you can send the score you just got. That way you don't go with Abi if you could've gone with AAA, and you don't shoot yourself in the foot by picking AAA while being unable to get his score.
  12. I had trouble with that too; eventually I just tried to aim for the cars that were already kind of in my path, and tried to hit them several times in a row. Somehow, that strategy worked. XD (Although I did get slightly better at steering, eventually.) I think @mairead123 is talking about Ugga Smash, not Wheeler's Wild Ride. ? As for Wheeler's Wild Ride, what worked for me was a tip I read on the neoboards. Don't do the levels at all. (My laptop is being super slow today, so I barely got to the end of level one (while not even doing any tricks), before the timer ran out. On low res.) Just stay at the top of level one and do wheelies, falling over just before the time runs out. And again, and again, and again, until you're out of coconuts. (So, about 20 times.) My previous high score was 224, now it's 1885. (The game wouldn't send my score the first time though, so that was pretty frustrating. XD) (I just realised this neoboard tip was posted by @jaydeed. So, thanks! )
  13. Were you using it as a side account? Because I don't think you're allowed to join an AC team from a side account, as you get items for joining a team. ? Was there a message indicating why your account was frozen?
  14. Oooh, thanks, I keep seeing the thread on the neoboards as well, but I keep forgetting how close August 31st really is! (In my mind, it somehow still feels like it's only late March/early April. ?)
  15. I think I'm going to make things easy for myself and go for Abigail today, mostly because I just really like the plushie. ? (I've never managed a gold trophy for DD anyway; I always fail to beat AAA for at least one game.)
  16. Yes, you're allowed to use their UC versions if you want.
  17. Glad you enjoyed it - very impressive result for your first time entering!
  18. Thanks for entering, everyone, and congratulations to our winners! (I really had to stop myself from voting for every single one of these entries.) The info on next round's theme can be found in this thread.
  19. If you're new to the contest, or simply want a reminder of the rules, they can be found right here. Current theme: Unique Colours Description: Dress up an Alien Aisha, Mallow Grundo, Coconut Jubjub or MSP Poogle in any way you want. Entering period: Monday, July 29 - Sunday, August 4 Voting period: Monday August 5 - Sunday, August 11 I also just want to remind everyone that whenever the image DTI provides doesn't look as awesome as you'd like, it's always okay to send me a screenshot instead! I recently posted a guide about taking/sending screenshots. If anything is still unclear, or if you have any corrections/additions, please post in that thread, or let me know some other way. If you have any questions about this round or the Runway in general, just post here, or send me a message! Also, never hesitate to send me a message if you have any theme suggestions. ?
  20. I never considered getting a Peophin before, but this colour is amazing.
  21. That's very odd, have you been having issues with any others websites? This site suggests it could have something to do with your router or Firewall settings: I personally don't know too much about Firewall and router settings, so I'm unable to guess how likely it is that this might be the case for you. However, here's a site specifically dealing with things you can do if you get the "connection timed-out" error. They offer 14 different solutions, so I hope at least one of those will fix your problem! (On another note, Neopets was definitely down a few hours ago. I didn't check back in until now so I don't know how long they were down for.)

  23. Yeah, not all keyboards will work the same way. I imagine some keyboards will require people to hit the fn (function) key along with the print screen key, and there might be other variations as well. (I hadn't heard of needing to press the Windows key though, so thanks for posting that.)
  24. Nope, this is a contest that's being held right here, on the TDN forums, and it's been going on for while (this being the thread to enter the 83rd round of this contest). You can check out some of the other rounds in this section of the forums (like last round (round 82), or the very first round). Lol, @Mouseykins, you beat me to it by a few seconds!
  25. I figured it might be useful to have a guide about taking/sending screenshots, as DTI often provides images that look a little different from the customisation, and using a screenshot ensures we can use the best possible image for your entry in the Runway. Some things to keep in mind: - I'm writing this guide with an absolute beginner in mind, so some steps might be over-explained. - I'm a Windows user, so I've never personally tested the tips for a Mac. - I've not discussed sending a screenshot from a tablet/phone, as I'm not sure how difficult cropping & uploading it might be from these devices. Here we go: 1. Take the screenshot. In Windows, you can use the print screen (prt sc) button on your keyboard and then crop the image in a program like Paint, or use the snipping tool on your computer. (Just type 'snipping' into the search bar, or press the Windows Key + Shift + S.) You can find more detailed info on taking a screenshot in Windows on this page. On a Mac, you can press Command + Shift + 4. This should make a rectangle appear, which you can drag to the portion of the screen you want a screenshot of. The screenshot should be saved to your desktop once you've taken it. See this page for more info on how to take a screenshot on a Mac. 2. Save the screenshot. In most programs, the save option should probably be pretty self-explanatory for the average computer user (but if not, let me know!). (File -> 'Save As' for Windows programs; the Mac screenshot should've been saved to your desktop anyway.) 3. Upload the screenshot. To be able to send/post a screenshot, you'll have to have a URL for it. Thankfully, there are a ton of sites where you can get one. My personal favourite (at the moment) is https://postimages.org/ as it's easy to use and the colour of the screenshots is really good. You can also use sites like https://imgur.com/ or https://imgbb.com/, whichever you prefer. Most of these sites will have a pretty big 'upload image' button. Click it, and locate your image. After selecting the image, the upload will most likely start immediately (or perhaps you'll have to hit 'OK' or something; it might depend on the site you use). You'll then be directed to a page with a lot of URLs. Use the 'direct link', which should look something like this: https://i.postimg.cc/gJhKqWqw/Barry-the-Time-Sprout.jpg. The important thing is, that it should end in .jpg or .png or another image file format. 4. Send the screenshot. Copy the 'direct link' and paste it into the message (or forum post). TDNs editor should turn it into an image almost immediately (but sometimes you'll need to hit Enter to trigger it). It'll also ask if you'd rather display the image as a link instead (which is how I posted the direct link above), but you can ignore that, as you're looking to post the image. You'll be able to resize the image (although you can only make it smaller than the original image, not bigger) by double clicking the image and entering the amount of pixels you want it to be. (I use 300 x 300 for the entries in the Runway threads (this is also the 'medium' sized image on DTI), so sending an image that is originally bigger than that is fine.) That's pretty much it. If you have any questions, just let me know!
