Thankyou so much. I just beat it. Yesterday I did the long combination way 3 times without recieving any results. Today I did this in 10 minutes and Bam, I get it. Thankyou.

Oh my god, this actually worked! I think I spent at least four hours while trying to follow the original instructions, this solution took me... I think 20-30 minutes? Thank you SO SO MUCH. :)
Also: To anyone trying to do this: I refreshed all the tabs randomly, meaning I clicked on the first one, then the fifth one, the third one, the first one again - and so on. You CAN refresh multiple tabs at once (= if a tab is still loading it's completely okay to load another tab too), this will save you A LOT of time.

I created an account JUST SO I COULD SAY THANK YOU! If this place wasn't as children-friendly I would use every curse word in the book! I went through, doing all the combinations and checking them off the list not once-not twice-but THREE times. Anybody who wants to math that out, be my guest, but I really don't want to know. All I know was that the water plant was making me want to die and this thread solved that problem in almost exactly 7 minutes. To be fair, it took me 3 days to hate myself, but digress. This is fantastic, yadda yadda. TYSFM.

I found the basket before I even knew this was happening, I actually came here to see if there was any info on weather or not it was a daily or if there were specific spots to find them like the halloween bags. :D

Another issue I've noticed lately is not being able to unequip battledome weapons. So if you're going to equip something, make sure you really want it for that pet for the foreseeable future. I think it's been at least a few weeks since this started.
 
Also, don't move too much NP in and out of the bank or your shop in one transaction. People have been reporting NP disappearing that way. Those are the two warnings I can think of right now.

So on Black Friday I spent about $300 dollars on Christmas presents for my family and friends. I have worked extra hours for the last couple months and haven't had a day off in about a month so I could afford to drive from Texas to Michigan for Christmas and have presents for my loved ones when I got back.
 
I left Friday at 4p after work and being awake since 7a Friday morning. I got in Saturday around 5:10p and started un-loading my car. I drove straight through with no sleep! I started unloading my car and took a bigger load of things upstairs that took me a little bit longer. In the short 5 minutes that I was bringing things in with my family someone walked up to my car, opened my door and stole the clothes basket full of wrapped presents out of my car and ran off with them.
 
I was VERY sad! I worked so hard to be able to afford those and someone just took them! I understand there's awful people out there, but I cannot fathom the thought of being able to just grab presents that someone spent money on for someone else especially during such a giving season!
 
I also was upset because I have been so giving this holiday season! I live by the motto that you should give without expecting anything in return and I just get such joy when seeing the smiles it brings people when they open the present you gave them. So I was thinking to myself WHY!? These were meant for some amazing and kind people and now they'll never get them!
 
I tried calling the police and they said they don't respond to items stolen when the vehicle is unlocked or the house is unlocked. Seriously!? So I filed a report online so I had something to turn into my insurance company to see if I could cover the cost of the gifts.
 
The next morning a women was walking in a park down the street and she found ALL of the presents! All unwrapped and thrown around, but all of them were there! She called the police department, they matched it up with my police report and they brought them back to me this morning!
 
I was SO HAPPY! I even prayed that they would be returned the night before and the next morning they were there!
 
Now I'm going to try and get some sleep after this whole weekend because I still haven't slept! UGH! Just want to share my tiring, yet happy ending story!

Ooh, I think the Vandagyre looks pretty good! And I'm not usually a fan of Christmas pets. I just wouldn't have expected the base to be black and white... Now I want to see what it looks like without the clothing. If the ears were black, it would make a perfect panda!

I'm trying very hard not to be impulsive and paint my Vandagyre... I can't wait to see the next colours!

It's mostly been the food items in cases where there is a food item, which makes sense since they are consumable (books are as well, but you can only read it to your pet once, while food can be repeated). In the other cases, it seems like it's been whichever item was already rarer than the others (pencil case was premium membership based).

As it ticks closer to midnight, prices should plunge as people attempt to make the last bit of np they can. It's funny, is anyone else familiar with the tulilp inflation and crash in the 1600's? That's what every day of this event feels like! People speculating like mad, then a peak is hit, then it crashes hard. Somebody in Neopia has to be left at the end of each day holding worthless items for which they massively overpaid!

Or at least that's my experience. Maybe the battledome battles aren't affected by the lag, I'm not sure.

I am extremely and entirely sorry for you and for Peter, but I know that the joy in this is that she is finally at rest and heaven gave her a HUGE welcome party. I will continue in prayer for Peter, his family and for you :D

Hand them out to friends or sell them. Earlier today they were seriously going for 500k. Insane. And yes, new every day.

You REALLY need to report your Uncle! He'll just do what he did to you to other people (unless you've already done so than good!)
 
You're not a baby, that's a lot to have to go through! It sucks when family member fall ill, it's agonizing because it's something you can't fix and you wish you could! :(

Next NT avatar to try for will be that Weewoo one, which is much harder. :c But hey, making comics is fun and I enjoy it, so it's all good.

Because I was seeing people getting stamps and map pieces and other unbuyables.
 
Plus as can be seen in the spoiler, my items left over are almost exclusively in the middle ranges.
 
Also, as I said before I'm not buying anymore items to donate. I refuse to if it's just down to luck over what I'll get in return. Food and books are easy to sell, aye, but I'd end up having to wait for the value to stop depreciating.
 
I'm also keeping a fair number of items that I could sell for higher than I'm sure I'd be able to sell the item I traded in for. I see no point in giving away almost entirely guaranteed profit in the hopes of dodging the crap shoot that is the prizes for the whole thing.
 
It helped me get rid of a number of plushies I don't find a need or want for, so I suppose that's a positive.
 
For me, a small profit of a couple k isn't worth going and buying items that people are going to gouge you for to begin with. Even now the plushies I gave away that used to be only 1-10np or so have jumped in price because when you're trading in the items you're making them disappear from the 'world' altogether. There's no getting it back. So I'd be wary about giving them away in this item sink scheme as you're removing a number of them from the game thus making it to where when the dust settles you might as well consider having broken even instead of a profit.

This is breaking my heart. I don't want to participate but I suspect that means I will miss out on an avatar.
 
Even when I wanted to participate, I couldn't get the site to load and the prices for the tags are ridiculous.
 
I had one of everything from the Pirate riddle (I hoard in 1s.. how unfortunate) but I think I would rather just sell the toffee things now and make some $$$
