WhiteWolf got a reaction from lakecat in Hurricane Irma
My family and I left Miami last Tuesday to avoid Irma. We're currently in Leesburg, and hoping to return on Tuesday. A friend of mine offered to check on my house when it was safe to go out. The only good news is I'm not near water so I don't have to worry about the storm surge.
For anyone who has never heard of Leesburg, it's mid-state just after Orlando.

WhiteWolf got a reaction from charelan in What was your final rank this year?
I only made Rank 1. Just getting that far with all Shootout Showdown games was driving me crazy. I'm terrible at Yooyu ball, so I stick to the side games. The good news is that my team, Maraqua, placed third! That's a first for me.

WhiteWolf got a reaction from life_eclectic in The Long Wait Begins...
Like the rest of Neopia, I find myself waiting for the results of the Staff tournament and the Altador Cup itself. Usually, I'm a patient person, but in a case like this? Not so much. Anyone else share the sentiment?

My trike has a basket, and I can get a couple bags of groceries in it. i also have the classic bike bell on one side. Mine is a beautiful metallic blue. As soon as it stops raining, I'm going to check the tires, and go for a ride.

I LOVE adult trikes, they are so cool-looking, plus practical because they can have a big basket on the back that will hold a lot of shopping.
Possibly something you could find nice and cheap on somewhere like Craigslist?

If you're not that confident about being on a regular bike, may I suggest an adult trike? I have one (mainly because my balance stinks), and I love it.

@WhiteWolf Sure! I am copying the recipe from one of my Sandra Lee cookbooks for you and anyone else who is interested:
Non-stick cooking spray
2 Tablespoons butter
1 Package (8 ounces) sliced mushrooms
1 Can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/2 Cup melted butter
1 1/2 Teaspoons kosher salt
1/2 Teaspoon ground black pepper
1 Cup yellow onion, chopped
2 Containers (5 ounces each) brie cheese, rind removed, chopped
1 Bag (30 ounce) country style hash browns, thawed
10 Ounce spinach, chopped
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 Celsius I think). Spray 9x13 baking pan with cooking spray.
2. In a medium skillet, over medium high heat, melt 2 tablespoons butter. Add mushrooms and cook 6 to 8 minutes, or until tender. Transfer to a large bowl.
3. To mushrooms add soup, butter, salt, pepper, onions, spinach and brie cheese: Mix well. Add hash browns: Pour into baking pan.
4. Bake for 35 minutes, or until golden brown and cheese has melted. If top has not browned after 40 minutes, turn broiler to high and cook until top is brown, about 3 to 4 minutes.
The original recipe does not have spinach, but it is so good with the spinach that I had to share it like this. Sorry for my tweaking of a perfectly good recipe.

WhiteWolf got a reaction from acmerasta in ☁ ☂ Let's talk about the weather ☼
I live in Florida so it's raining virtually every day. Hurricane season is the worst thing on earth! You plan and prepare for the worst, and hope like crazy for the best. You'll find me hiding under my desk holding my laptop.

Yeah, that be true! My mom got a note from the Neighborhood Management Office (the ppl you pay hundreds of $$ to for the benefit of living in that neighborhood) that said to water our lawn bc it was "too brown". My mom took 2 spray cans and sprayed a spot of Neon Green and a spot of Seafoam Green and asked them, "Ok, which of these spray colors would you like me to spray my brown grass bc watering against the Conservation Restriction isn't working?" We don't get anymore notices about our grass!

WhiteWolf reacted to hrtbrk in Neopoints for NeoCash
Maybe if it was 500,000 or 5,000,000 for 500NC but I feel like this would only influence illegal means of obtaining neopoints. A lot of games do have in-game currency conversions but Neopets has far too many cheaters for it to work without completely destroying the game imo.
I think a more useful way would be to have a wheel (or some sort of neopoint sink game) where you could spend a high amount of NPs and win neocash in various denominations or a NC prize like a specific item, special capule or goodie bag with predetermined prizes.
Also I think it would be nice to have a reverse version of Delina where you could buy the items with NPs, from a specialty shop, and create NC items instead.

WhiteWolf reacted to Midgetlegs in What games scared you as a kid?
I can't really think of any games that scared me when I was LITTLE little, but American McGee's Alice was probably the first game that I was too scared to play through.

Ugh, Topsi's lifeless eyes are back. I don't trust that Cybunny
Today I was lucky and got the item I wanted the most from the Willow Negg:
Doesn't look too good on quadruped pets but the item itself is pretty.

WhiteWolf got a reaction from jellysundae in Day 16: Jubble Bubble
Here's a little game tip that I stumbled across: Hold the mouse pointer directly over the Jubjub, hold down the mouse button, and then release it when the bubble stream is almost to the Jubjub. This also works for the shells and dubloons. Good luck!

WhiteWolf got a reaction from smoss1 in My health is out of control (kind of graphic/TMI)
Do you know if other women in your family are prone to periods like you're describing? I had really bad ones too, but I found out that my mom and grandmother had them too. It may sound strange, but genes can throw you some weird curve balls.

WhiteWolf got a reaction from smoss1 in Pet Specific Clothing?
Something has been bugging me for a long time. If you own something like Nimmo Lost Desert Urchin Top, but don't own a nimmo, can your pet wear it anyway? Is it pet specific? I know it's a noob question, but it has been annoying me for years!
