  1. LOL That's FINE! That's just the fastest you could get there via regular training, if you really really wanted to! Just go at whatever pace works for you. If you want to work on other stats instead of level, go for that. If you decide to work on level there are always Terror Trove and Faerie Fortune Scratchcards too that can yield levels. Though, those can go to ANY pet, not just your active one. My vandagyre I think is at level 42, ALL "stolen" levels from scratching scratchcards when my peophin was active. lol Kitchen Quests can also sometimes yield levels, but those, like when stat points are awarded, go to your active pet. So you've got some options to up your level without doing the regular training. Just in the way of playing the game regularly.
  2. You're very welcome! I'm glad I could offer some good advice. Typically I tend to think on a lower budget system, but if you really want to splurge. lol I can come up with some EXPENSIVE gear for you too. Happy battling!
  3. Hi @Wildbreeze! For a beginner set, it's not bad! Well, for starters, to replace Scroll of the Scholar, if you've got 800 plot points already, you could get a Void Blade from the prize shop. It's 16 constant icons and the voidlings have one! lol They're still not buyable on the shop wiz, so that's just a suggestion. if you want to save some NP, you can buy one from a user if you want to save your prize points though. A CHEAPER though potentially stronger option would be to buy a Turned Tooth, 13-22 icons with an average of between 15-16 icons. Since it has variable offense. It can be pretty powerful and even at it's weakest it would be stronger than you other multi-use weapons. Price has SKYROCKETED though, about 800k for ONE now. So I recommend buying one soon if you're going to! Replace Gilded War Hammer for Hanso Charisma Charm. The charm has 10 icon attack and defends ALL darkness. For your healer. It would actually get you a bit of profit if you sold your Rejuvenating Jar of Brains and bought a Feel Better Soup. the RJoB heals 60hp, Feel Better Soup heals 50% and defends all Air on the turn it's used. Also, it's cheaper. But it's up to you, just a suggestion. Leaf shield is ok, but not too useful right now with the voidlings, still save it since it might be more useful later. Keep Downsize! Obviously keep Varia is the Bomb! XD Hmm... Bow of the Hegelob can be replaced... If you're truly willing to spend upwards of 10 mil, maybe a 2nd Turned Tooth? You may not need it for the first wave(s) but perhaps further down the line it will come in handy? Snowager Sword.. It's weak, but it gives you some fire protection, which is not an easy element to block. Still, I'd almost want to recommend downgrading the attack to a Scarab Ring to increase the Defense a little. 6attack instead of 7, but 3 fire but also 3 physical for defense. Hmm.... Well, I'm thinking budget again. You could probably use something for protection. Let's see, Fire protection, and something that can block some physical. How about a Solar Flare Shield? Blocks 3 each of Air, Fire, Physical and Water. For about 80,000np. Ooo I REMEMBER now! The Water Powered Pistol! 13 Icon attack and 5 icon Fire defense! About 300,000 right now on the Shop Wiz! Let's see, I trust you have the ability Lens Flare, right? So against the Voidlings you should be using Lens Flare, plus Varia is the Bomb, plus, Scroll of the Scholar since it's your 2nd strongest weapon right now at 10 icons. The only reason to use Lens Flare at your level against Voidlings is to stop them from using Halitosis, which can make your pet sick and have to withdraw from the waves of fights. My pet had to and then had to heal from Water Eyes before he could fight again. Quite annoying, but he was still able to earn the max 200 prize points for the day despite being interrupted. As far as training goes, you're close to the 250 boosts, so get your strength there first, and focus on either HP or Defense. However fits your style of play. There's no boost for getting your HP to 250, it just keeps you fighting longer, but the boost for defense is the same as it is for Strength, so you'll cut damage down 5.5 damage with your defense at 250, just like at 250 your strength will inflict 5.5 damage per icon dealt to your enemy! I hope this helps! If you have any questions feel free to ask. I try to check the forum a couple of times a day.
  4. Well, if my math is right, and it might be SLIGHTLY off. But if you trained non-stop. You could be at level 250 in 94.75 days. Or, 94 Days, 18 hours, about. It's up to you if you want to go for it. You could get a lot of Red Stones during that time too, plus the plot would probably still be running. Also, the first level of Red Stone training takes 4 hours. So you can take the number of red stones you have and count each on as 4 hours of training until you get your stats caught up. So, it's up to you, whatever you think is more viable for you to do. it's completely up to you. I've never been a major fan of the power leveling strategy, but with the price of Eo's, and the training time during an actual plot with massive inflation. I can see it being a more viable option than during peacetime. So yeah, totally your call. Whatever you do is fine! You'll still do fine in the plot! Though I will say, it might be useful getting to level 200 so you have access to the Warlocks Rage ability. For future waves. It's the same as Lens Flare, so you'd get 2 free turns to attack instead of 1! After battling this first wave, since the Voidlings have Halitosis, Lens flare and going for a 1-round knock-out is a good strategy to avoid getting sick in battle and having your string of battles cut-short. Happened to me once and I had to heal my peophin from Watery Eyes before he could fight again. LOL
  5. LOL Ok, well good! 8-stones is a real pain anyway. I was trading in some of my tans for reds at Techo Mountain, but the latest request is 4 Eo's. I'm not sure if I want to trade'em, in and risk getting a mag or sho, (when I have plenty of those) or sell them at the current high prices. lol
  6. Hey Gillytook and Musical_shoyru. I was just looking at Red Stone Prices, and other than Mag Codestones, they've all dipped in price by about 10k or so. Meanwhile, it looks like tan stones are still pretty stable in price, especially those darned Eo Codestones, at about 49k. I'm definitely gonna recommend you both STRONGLY consider power leveling to 250 to enter the Secret Ninja Training Academy. Mainly because of the price of Eo codestones. Getting requested multiples of those would be VERY expensive vs even the most expensive of the Red Stones. 2 Eo's would be just under 100k, or, 1.4 Vux, Kew, or Zed red codestones. Or, Almost 2 Cui Red Codestones. or, Almost 4 Sho Red Codestones, or, Almost 7 Mag red Codestones. Those are rough estimates as of the prices for the reds I saw just now. At least with the Secret Ninja Academy, you can cancel an overly expensive training session. Though you must wait exactly 24 hours before you can attempt to enroll that pet in another course. Good luck!
  7. Yeah, at 8 tan codestones it's definitely worth it! At 3-4 Eo codestones you're paying for about 2 and a half to 3 of the most expensive red stones in NP, just for those alone. Definitely time to level to 250! It's good that you've got a stockpile of red stones so you hopefully won't need to buy them during the plot. Once you reach the red stone training, you can either sell any leftover tan codestones, or visit techo mountain and try to convert 10 randomly requested codestones into a random red codestone.
  8. FINALLY got my peophin to over 4000hp! Ironically, I was hoping for a Dark Faerie Quest, to get to 4000-even. But that didn't come until about an hour after the Faerie Queen quest that pushed me over the 4000 mark. lol This is the screenshot I saved though, at 4,002hp. Even though I'm now at 4,005.
  9. Yeah, not terrible. And it's not really the waiting that's the killer imho. For me it's the cost. That being said, I didn't do the jump to the red stones until I was in the 8-stone range, and admittedly, that was a bit of a struggle, but I wanted to stick to my ideals on the topic of power-leveling. Since it was just about time for the Obelisk War to start and I was really tired of the cost of 7 tan codestones. For me it was cost because earning NP takes a long time because I can't really RS hardly at all so the main source of my NP comes from games and events. Once I got into the 8-stone range though, I decided it was fine to level through to the red stone training. It was more cost and time-effective then. Some people were doing it from the 3 and 4 tan-stone training levels. Which of course made the at the time limited supply of red stones even more limited. Messes with the economy and all that. But you're in the 6-stone range, if you wanted to power level to the red stone range for cost and/or time I could see that, especially since plot-inflation has codestone prices so high, especially Eo Codestones. But, like I said before, you could be asked for really expensive single red Codestones too. Zed, Kew and Vux are all over 86,000np, Cui is above 66,000np last I checked., Sho and Mag are cheaper, One is around 20-30k, the other is cheaper, though I don't recall which was at which level off-hand. Still. It's up to you and however you want to play the game.
  10. Hmmm that's a tough call. If you had some Training Fortune Cookies you could reduce your training time, it's random per session, but those cost some NC. Well, figure roughly how much NP your 6 stones cost you, and look at how much 1 Red Stone costs. The most expensive Red stones are almost 90,000np. There are some Cheaper red stones, like Mag and Sho codestones. Cui, last time I checked was in the mid 60k's, but Vux, Kew, and Zed stones were all in the high 80k's. So it's really up to you if you want to power-level or now to level 250 so you can go to red stones. You can try taking to do some Col_Mack to Kitchen Quests, though those can be expensive and if you don't get a stat point increase, the rewards are not usually worth the cost. But it's up to you. For NC training, I always recommend the Faerie Quest Fortune Cookies. They're the Cheapest and random faerie quests give more stat points than regular training does, though you only get one quest per day and it's not always a faerie you might need/want. It could be an air faerie, and movement is pretty worthless. Still, considering you might get asked for multiple Eo Codstones, you certainly might consider power-leveling to the 1 red stone level.
  11. If anything you could use the Thunder Sticks for some NP for your bank if you don't want them. Sleep ray is fine for a 100% freezer, and if you have enough prize shop points left over for Thunder Sticks, well, just throwing that idea out there. From your abilities and equipment, I would guess that your battle strategy is probably the 3-free turn strategy right? Lens Flare, Warlocks Rage and Freezer if needed, right? When you get your pet to level 400, Reflect I would recommend Reflect. Esepcially since you're not set up for much defense. Hopefully TNT doesn't throw us a curve ball then where something more than the 3-free turn strategy is required. They did say they'd have something to challenge the veteran battlers. So as I was discussing with Duma on the previous page, we don't know what that might be. I'd say your set right now, honestly, is underpowered for your maxed out stats. But when you get enough prize shop points to upgrade like you want to, then you'll be sitting real pretty offensively. If you want to consider some cheap, defensive gear, I'll refer you to this comment on the previous page. I cover some cheap equipment that will defend some or more icons that covers pretty much every element. Dual-duties and shields. Oh, and a Downsize! of course. If you're not interested in cheap defensive gear that might come in handy if TNT does throw us a curve ball, you can disregard this link.
  12. Cool! You're welcome. I was going through my SDB earlier and it turns out that I have 75 of them! lol A LOT more than I thought I had! I don't buy them either, I just visit the shrine once a day at midnight, or close to it. lol I never seem to get there quite on the second. lol Sure! That's why I created this topic in hopes that people would come together seeking advice for their sets and then people could make suggestions and offer ideas and the like. I look forward to when that happens. Maybe with this plot more interest in the BD will be sparked, that's what I hope anyway!
  13. LOL Yeah, the Obelsik bosses are pretty easy with the max boosts. XD One and Done. lol With the right weapons of course. Ah cool! LOL I should check on my spare BD items since it's been so long, though I know a LOT of them are junk I got from stealing from sleeping Snowager. lol That's cool that you've already got a lot of the items I mentioned! XD Btw, if you do want a cheap Light reflector that to the best of my knowledge doesn't break. Expert Lens is the way to go., 50% Reflect, same as Dual Battle Mirrors, but it's from Coltzan's Shrine, and there should be plenty in player shops for cheap if you don't have one already from visiting the shrine. I probably have several dozen in my SDB so I could send ya one if you don't already have one.
  14. Nice Duma! I honestly don't recall what your set used to contain, but this one is certainly heavy on the offense! With a good mix of icon variety! Yeah, there's not much you CAN do for your set without spending a lot of NP. I mean, IF you needed some shields or reflectors for some SPECIFIC element(s) for some SPECIFIC opponent(s) we could talk some weaker shields and reflectors that could at least take a dent out of some of what you were up against. I take it your strategy is using Lens Flare, Warlock's Rage and Sleep Ray to give you up to 3 rounds of Free Attacks, right? I ask because other than the Downsize! I don't see much in the way of defense. LOL Not that I'm one to talk either with my current set setup. But, I would not be surprised if TNT came up with some way of making us need either MORE than that strategy or something OTHER than that strategy to win some of the battles. I mean, they DID say that there would be some opponents to challenge the veteran battlers. We don't know what that means, but we should expect them to do something about the 3-free rounds strategy. I just HOPE they don't make it so that Shhh! can cancel out Lens Flare and Warlocks Rage by going first. That would really stink! And it'd be even tougher for the newer battlers imho. Though, it would bring things kind of back to where they were with the OLD faerie abilities that only had a chance of freezing opponents, instead of 100% chance of stopping them from acting. Anyway, if you haven't put much concern into defense, or don't have many defensive items in your SDB, you might consider some items that don't cost an arm and a leg that you could get that might help shave off some icon damage. I don't know the prices, but some items off the top of my head would be some dual duties and defenders like Hanso Charisma Charm to block all dark with a 10 icon attack. Parasol of Unfortunate Demise, to block all Light, and some earth and water icons. Roxtons Trusty Bowie Knife for a 15 icon attack and blocks 75% of Earth. Flaming Oven Gloves may be kinda weak, Blocks 5 Fire and 2 Light, but it's some fire defense, saved my bacon several times when I was a young battler. lol Not sure how they'd work with the max boosts though, still. They're cheap too. Leaf Shield from Illusen's Quests is still good for Earth, Water, and Physical. Just the first few pieces of equipment that came to mind. Altadorian Swordbreaker, only a 6-icon attack, but blocks all Physical. That would just leave Air that's not defended in any of those items, I think. Hmmm..... Double Dryer, the 50% reflector is decent and not too expensive. Let me do some quick looking..... Ok, With your pet's Int-stat, Parchment Cloak would give you protection from several icons, +5 Air icons thanks to your INT being above 150. Or there's one of my old standby items, the Earthen Scorchstone, good for Air AND Darkness. Greater Defense Scroll defends 5 Air Icons too. If you want a Dual-Duty that can defend Air. Bubble Wands, only blocks 3 Air icons, but has a 9-icon attack. This is all on a budgetary thing of course. There are better options, but like you said, you don't want to get into the millions or tens of millions of NP range. So I'm just having a little fun typing out some of the budgetary items. Anyway, some of these items MIGHT actually help you in a pinch, depending on what TNT decides to throw at us. I always keep a few items of varied defensive items in my SDB to swap out just in case, old habits die hard after all. Even though, truth-be-told, I've become somewhat complacent with this current battle system and using Lens Flare and Warlocks Rage if/as needed. That's one of the reasons I'm excited for the plot, hoping for a shake-up in the strategies. Oh yeah, on Heavy Robe of Thievery. Provided TNT gets Stealing fixed in the BD, I think you'll enjoy it. Especially if you steal a really good weapon from your opponent! Mine has been sitting in my SDB since stealing broke, gathering dust. I'm looking forward to being able to using it again, fingers crossed!
  15. Ah ok. Sorry for misunderstanding then. lol And ok, cool. Coming up with strategies are part of the fun for me in the BD. If you have a hard time with one of the opponents TNT throws our way let me know and maybe we can get you some wins. But with your stats you should be ok for awhile. lol I don't know what TNT's got in mind, but they did mention some opponents that would challenge even the veteran battlers, so I'm curious what they meant by that. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little excited about it either. lol
  16. You're very welcome @Cuddlesoftness! Hmm, by "bomb", do you mean Varia is the Bomb? You could I suppose, but if you got a Grapes of Wrath from The Void Within Prize Shop, you'd have a multi-use weapon that is 1 icon shy of Varia is the Bomb, which is only Once Per Battle, and save several million+ NP on buying a Varia is the Bomb. It's up to you and whatever your budget is of course. Of course, you will need to battle something during the plot to get prize points for those parts of the plot too. I can't read TNT's minds, but I would think your Void Blades should be enough offense to see you through that far at least. Anyway, when the battle portion comes out, we'll be testing the opponents to find out their equipment and abilities. LOTS of intentionally prolonged battles. Oy! lol But we'll get that info up as soon as we can. Once we know the equipment they have, I can come up with good strategies to fight them if needed. I think that's my favorite part of battling. Coming up with underdog strategies that work to win. XD
  17. Hiya @Cuddlesoftness! I'd be glad to help ya! And thanks @Mouseykins for the tag! Ok, so Mouseykins is SPOT ON with changing your healer, Feel Better Soup has apparently gone up in price slightly since the plot began. But it's still around 600k on the Super wiz, a STEAL considering what I paid like a decade ago when I traded for my Bag of Healing Dust. x_x. They heal the same amount, 50% of your max HP, but Feel Better Soup also blocks 100% of Air icons on the turn that it's used. Quite useful if you're dealing with an air-wielding opponent on the turn you need to heal. H4000 helmet might come in handy since TNT did say that there would be opponents during the plot that would give even the Veteran battlers a hard time. Sure you're above level 400 so you've probably got both Lens Flare and Warlock's Rage, giving you 2 free turns to attack. But you might need a 3rd free turn during the plot, so if you don't want to keep the H4000 helmet equipped for now, I wouldn't sell it just yet either. You CAN, but with TNT, it's best to err on the side of caution. You definitely don't need your Scarab Ring. Not with your Strength and Defense boosts maxed out. Unless you league-battle, which is doubtful since you said you don't 2p battle. lol So, you can definitely get rid of that. Anyway, and then you've got 2 Void Blades, which are quite decent at 16 icons each. Assuming you keep them and add in Feel Better Soup, and keep the H4000 Helmet in the line-up, for now. That leaves you 4 slots you can fill. So, there are several worthwhile weapons in The Void Within Prize Shop. I posted a list of them in another thread, so I'll just copy them here for you and add some suggestions for other items you might find useful. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In The Void Within Prize Shop, the best ones to look at are Wand of the Dark Faerie, Grapes of Wrath, Thunder Sticks, Thyoras Tear, and Extra Loud Techo Fanatic Megaphone Wand of the Dark Faerie can be gotten from Jhudora's quests, the 50th quest. It can do 20-29 icons of damage, reflects 75% light, no other defense, and heals 25% of your HP when it's below 25% of Max. Grapes of Wrath is a Smuggler's Cove item, 24 icons, multiuse. 1 icon less than Varia is the Bomb. Thunder Sticks, was from a couple AC's ago. 16 icon attack, defends 100% physical and freezes 100% once per battle. Thyoras Tear. r99 and still restocks at Defence Magic. Once per battle it will negate ALL damage done on the turn it is used. Like Downsize! but double the power. lol Extra Loud Techo Fanatic Megaphone, from last year's AC. Like Roxtons Trusty Bowie Knife, it has a 15 icon attack and Blocks 75% of an element, only this one blocks 75% AIR. When this is used with Roxton's Knife, which blocks 75% of Earth, you can severely reduce the power of a Super Attack Pea to 25% of it's max power. Provided your opponent has and uses a SuAP on the turn you use these 2 weapons together of course. The other weapons are less than you'd want for your set. Void Blade, you've got 2 already, and Gemmed Sword of Light, despite their vast price difference, both do 16 icons. lol The Grey weapons are even weaker. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I did alter some of the text slightly to be more applicable to your situation. Of the items I mentioned when talking about the prize shop prizes. Varia is the Bomb, was from the Fragments mini-plot from last year, I think it was? It does 25 icons, is once per battle, but doesn't actually count as a Bomb-type weapon. I have one equipped while still being able to have my Ghostkerbomb equipped. lol It's pseudo useful, but once per battle makes it better for taking down opponents in the first round. Downsize! Another Once Per Battle item. This one blocks 50% damage on the turn it is used once per battle, Quite useful against stronger opponents when you are mostly an offensive battler and need to defend. When I was a less experienced battler, I would use it during the same turn as my healing item to preserve as much of my HP that round as I could. And they are cheap. About 3,000-4,000np at Defence Magic or in Player Shops. Rarely goes higher. I think the highest I've ever seen it was around 6k in player shops. Roxtons Trusty Bowie Knife You might already have this in your SDB, if you didn't sell it. Like Feel Better Soup, this was a freebie from an Advent Calendar. It has a 15 icon attack, and blocks a solid 75% of incoming Earth icons. As I stated above for the Megaphone, combining this with the Megaphone will drastically reduce the power of the Super Attack Pea, but, Roxtons Trusty Bowie Knife on it's own, will reduce the power of ANY of the Pea Family weapons by quite a bit. Considering that the Seasonal Attack Pea is mostly Earth too, and the Attack Pea is ALL Earth. Yeah, this is one decent weapon to consider. I hope that helps, if you have any further questions, feel free to ask. I try to check the forum a couple times a day. Oh yeah, IF TNT Fixes Stealing, and your pet's intelligence is, I forget the exact number required, but let's say above 100. It's actually much less so if you're over 100 then you're good since your Movement/agility is above 200. I would consider a Heavy Robe of Thievery as a possible buy. They used to be buyable, but someone recently told me they were being sold for 3mil now. So, if you have the budget for it. They have minimal defense, but they will let you steal 1 random item from your opponent once per battle. If TNT fixes stealing you, WILL, steal something. During the Obelisk War, it was like a daydream when my attempt to steal from Envy yielded his Prismatic Mirror. I'd gone up against that weapon in a number of prior wars, but it's not available to Neopians. it reflects 81%-100% of ALL Elements, except physical of course. Very fun to use! Allowed me to stay alive a few extra turns against Envy in those battles. My peophin was still pretty "weak" back then, only just barely into the 1 red codestone training zone during that war. Anyway, if I can be of any more help just let me know. Happy battling!
  18. Oh yeah, there's a good BAD pun! Couldn't HELP but laugh at it! Yeah, Normally, if my peophin is at full health when I go against Snowy, I'll use Ghostkerbomb, Varia is the Bomb, and Lens Flare to take him out in 1 round. The difference between Easy and Medium for Snowy is insane. 750hp for Easy, isn't so bad. But on Medium, if I'm remembering correctly, it skyrockets to 15,000hp! And he can 1-shot me with damage left over! lol I traded for a Hubrid's Puzzle Box awhile back to see if that would help. It KIND OF did, but I still could only get him down to around 8,000-9,000hp before I ran out of Defensive stuff. Right now I'm built more for offense, and at that time, I hadn't really rebuilt my set for defending against Snowy, even so, I would need better blockers than I have most likely to be more effective against the raw power he's got at Medium difficulty. lol A Thyoras Tear would make for an excellent experimental piece to see if I could make any further headway against him on medium. Oh yeah, Hubrids Puzzle Box, it's an older weapon, but an interesting one. You have to use it 3 times to actually use it. First turn, it changes shape, 2nd turn it gives you a statue of Hurbid, if I recall correctly, and then on your 3rd turn, you can use that to remove 1/3rd of your opponent's current health. So at 15,000 HP, and say I'd knocked it down to about 12,000 by that turn that I could use the statue, it would still take about 4,000 more of his HP away reducing him to around 8,000hp. But using it takes up a weapon slot for each of those 3 turns. The first 2 turns I can use a Weapon, Hubrids Puzzle Box, Lens Flare. 2nd turn is Freezer, Hubrids Puzzle Box 2, and Warlocks Rage. 3rd turn is Statue of Hurbid, Weapon, and Level 500 Ability. After that, Rounds 4 and on I'd have to defend while I attack. So only a 1-weapon attack since 1 slot would have to be used to defend at least some of the incoming damage. But that's where Downsize! would come in, to get me to Round 5 at least. I could try the Faerie Ability "Meh" with Downsize! to decrease damage slightly further too. After that, it'd be PURE luck, with my current equipment and Faerie abilities to get to Round 6. LOL But, maybe with a Wand of the Dark Faerie and a Thyoras Tear, I could maybe just barely survive a battle with Snowy on Medium? lol After the plot, it's certainly worth a shot.
  19. Cool! It can happen sometimes though. When I get blasted by Snowager, and especially if I need to buy an item for a daily quest, I'll buy a Healing Potion XXII from the Healing Springs, and use that on my peophin. For him the 225hp it heals is still below 20% of his max HP, so in battle, since right now I tend to battle "Snowy" (on easy), I start out with my freezer, my Illusens Staff, and the faerie ability Rejuvenate. Rejuvenate gives you a full heal if you take damage that turn, but the damage you take is subtracted from your restored HP. Since Snowy can use the Shhhh! ability, if he uses that, it will shut down Rejuvenate. Which is why I also have my Freezer AND Illusens Staff as my weapons for that first turn when I start the fight injured. If Rejuvenate works, the 2nd turn I use my Bag of Healing Dust (50% heal) to finish healing, my Ghostkerbomb and an attack ability like An Icicle or Summon Monoceraptor (which can only be used once per day). to finish off Snowy. If Snowy uses Shhhh! and blocks Rejuvenate, then it'll be two battles for a full heal. My 2nd turn will be the same either way. Because Illusens Staff won't heal a 2nd time in a row if I didn't take enough damage to knock my HP back below 20% of my max HP. In a 2nd battle to finish healing, I'll start off with Freezer, Bag of Healing Dust, and Lens Flare. Then on the next turn, Ghostkerbomb, Varia is the Bomb, and An Icicle. An Icicle is a little overkill when using those weapons at the max strength boost, but meh. lol Snowy on Easy has 750hp. I can't come close to beating him on Medium yet. lol I don't have enough HP to survive. lol Also, I read that Wand of the Dark Faerie is a "Priority Weapon", meaning it will go first. I don't know if it will heal BEFORE Feel Better Soup activates or not. But if it DOES, then that would be like having a 75% heal if you were below 25% of your max HP and used Wand of the Dark Faerie in slot 1 and Feel Better Soup in slot 2. I THINK! Against a war opponent, or if you ever happen to go up against another player, that might be something to try out. See if it works and helps you win.
  20. Well..... You could do either, but actually. Given that The Mystical Tablet blocks 100% of Dark AND Physical, it should COMPLETELY NEUTRALIZE Wand of the Dark Faerie! While doing a 9 icon attack and that small amount of healing. So, I would say, you could probably sell, or at least store or put Illusens Staff in your gallery if you wanted to. IF you got a Wand of the Dark Faerie of your own that is. You would still have 3 healing items too. Feel Better Soup, The Mystical Tablet, and with Wand of the Dark Faerie, you'd be gaining an extra 5% healing to 25% of your max health when it falls below 25%, whereas Illusens Staff only does 20% So really, you'd be pretty well set with that set. Then you could keep Downsize for a bit of Extra defense if you needed it besides the Tear. Or, if you wanted you could replace it with something specific that may come out in the future that you might want. Like, if they fix Stealing in the Battledome. Get your Agility above 200 (201 or greater) and your int above... I think it has to be above 67, and you could use a Heavy Robe of Thievery. ONCE they fix stealing in the dome. Otherwise the robe is pretty useless. If you meet the Stat-requirements, The robe will steal 1 random item 100% of the time once per battle from your opponent. I LOVED using it against Envy during the Obelisk War, stealing his Prismatic Mirror was a dream come true, when I stole THAT item. lol That item is not available to us, only certain 1p opponents get it, but it reflects 81%-100% of every element except physical and can be used as much as you want. oooo Your pet is doing GREAT with the training! You've almost got both Strength and Defense to the 250 boost! Wonderful! Keep up the great work!
  21. The Tear c/would replace your Downsize! nicely, OR, if you needed a bit of extra defense, The Tear and Downsize! on different turns would give you 1 turn with 0 damage and 1 turn taking 50% damage. So there's that strategy too. Most 1p opponents don't use Peas, but there are other weapons that use Air or Earth (Earth in the case of Roxtons Trusty Bowie Knife). There is an Anagram Sword for each element for example, Or, The Pirate Captains Cutlass uses a lot of Air too, same for the retired Ghostkersword. It's really up to you how you spend your prize points, I was just saying which weapons are worthwhile to consider. If you want a defender that handles all Elements, the Tear and Downsize! are pretty much it for common items. There were some SUPER RARE prizes given out to one or two neopians in the first or two War Plots that Neopets had, before I started playing, that could block ALL damage as well like the Thyoras Tear, but I don't know if those players, or those items still exist. LOL You're getting the idea, ALL weapons have elements to them. When I give you the icons they do for damage, I don't always give type out the elements they use to attack, that would be a lot of extra work. If we're talking Defense items, I DO type out the types of icons defended. When you battle 1p, especially if you're freezing them with Lens Flare, Warlock's Rage and possibly a Freezer weapon, that's 3 turns they can't attack, So often that should be enough to defeat them without having to worry about them defending against your attack icons. But like you can defend against their attack icons, each 1p opponent has equipment that can defend too. Some even HAVE Thyoras Tear, or a full healer like a Jade Scorchstone, and they can use them MORE than once! Which isn't fair, but that's TNT for you. Jade Scorchstone, btw, is a retired full healer. Anyway, the equipment listed in TDN's 1p profiles has the offensive and defensive stats for each piece of equipment. If you're not going to freeze your opponent, then you simply match your weapons to elements they don't defend well against, and you equip defensive equipment that matches most of what their weapons attack with. It's pretty simple, but can be a bit tedious if you check EVERY piece of equipment each time you fight someone new. LOL I used to do that when I didn't know many of the weapons though. Ok, the Thistleberry Pingrenade was from a Game Master's Challenge I believe, so you should be able to sell it if you wish, or at least look it up on the Shop Wizard to see what it's going for and decide if you want to sell it. It has a variable attack, but has a maximum of 24 icons, which is what the Grapes of Wrath does every turn. So replacing the Thistleberry Pingrenade with Grapes of Wrath would be a good move. The icon types are slightly different. Thistleberry Pingrenade has Earth and Physical, whereas the Grapes of Wrath are Earth and Fire. Wand of the Dark Faerie is actually Stronger than Illusen's Staff in attack and healing ability. The difference is in defense. I'll type both stats out for you. Illusens Staff has an attack of 13 Earth and 0.6-6 Physical icons Defense ALL Dark Reflects 75% Dark icons if Light element is also received in the same attack. (The explanation gets pretty confusing from what I read). But if Dark is reflected, you take 25% damage from the remaining dark that isn't reflected instead of blocking the 25% it seems. Heal 20% of max health when health is below 20% of max health Wand of the Dark Faerie has an attack of 20 dark and 0.9-9 Physical icons Defense none Reflects 75% of Light Heal 25% of max health when health is below 25% of max health. Even at it's weakest attack, Wand of the Dark Faerie does 1.9icons more damage than Illusens Staff is capable of doing at it's maximum. But, against a Wand of the Dark Faerie, Illusens Staff would reduce it's attack down to 0.9-9 physical icons only, and would not be hampered by the WoDF's light reflecting ability. Though if the opponent was using a Leaf Shield (The Green one from Illusen's Quests) that would put a damper on an attack from Illusens Staff, ironically. lol Wouldn't totally block it, but it would take a chunk out. But if you attacked with Grapes of Wrath and Illusens Staff, you'd get more icons through while only taking the Physical icons from an attack from a Wand of the Dark Faerie. I hope that helps!
  22. Actually, there are no new, original weapons in the the Plot reward shop. They have all existed before this plot. The best ones to look at are Wand of the Dark Faerie, Grapes of Wrath, Thunder Sticks, Thyoras Tear, and Extra Loud Techo Fanatic Megaphone Wand of the Dark Faerie can be gotten from Jhudora's quests, the 50th quest. Like Roxton's Trusty Bowie Knife, it has a 15 icon attack and Blocks 75% of an element, only this one blocks 75% AIR. Void Blade and Gemmed Sword of Light, despite their vast price difference, both do 16 icons. lol The Grey weapons are even weaker. If you've any other questions, as always, feel free to ask.
  23. Here's an annoying one I got tonight. Now his mood is Depressed. Poor fella.
  24. Sure. That's fine! I definitely understand that. Ah I see. lol I checked your lookup, and it seems that you started playing about 6 months before I did. lol Guess we're both a couple of veteran players then. That's cool that you got into battling at all. I mean, some players never do. Even WITH the plots. I find fun in challenging the harder opponents. I remember when a friend I've since lost contact with got me to sign up for the site. When I started playing, I found myself finding it hard to earn NP, but battling I could do... or so I thought. lol My early battles were horrible, I still remember having to forfeit my first battle, to Punchbag Bob. lol My peophin was so low in level and I THOUGHT there HAD to be SOME sort of unarmed attack I could use. I was half-right. I needed to be a few levels higher for him to learn the first of the old species ability-attacks that were removed when the replaced the old battledome. Peophin Trample, I believe it was called. A very weak attack. But, I didn't know any better. lol Every species had some of these attacks, I think the last one was learned around level 15 or so. Species all had some natural resistances and weaknesses too. Peophins had a weakness to fire, which I THINK might still be in effect with the Wheel of Excitement. If it lands on the Laval Ghoul and he breathes Fire on my Peophin, my peophin loses more than half of his HP. Which would only make sense if the weakness to fire from the BD was applied, which doesn't make sense OUTSIDE of the BD, especially since those were supposed to have been removed as well, so... I dunno. lol The BD certainly has it's own unique battle system, that's not entirely a compliment, but not entirely a slam either. lol I'd say it's somewhere in the middle, like most of what TNT seems to come up with. lol Pros AND cons abound. lol Anyway, sorry for rambling. I HOPE that they fix Defenders of Neopia. I've been wanting some new challengers for it for awhile, even before the new dome. Just one of many things they need to get to fixing though, so here's hoping they get to it someday soon! The challenges ARE fun and they give us something to shoot for! Plus the comics for each DoN challenge were pretty creative. Leading up to each challenge, and after you beat the villain, the comic updates and the final page post-challenge was pretty neat too! You felt good about accomplishing it. At least whenever they get it fixed, you'll definitely be ready for the challenges that already existed. If they add some new ones, then who knows? lol But you should at least have some fun trying.
  25. Like a battledome simulator for past battles, oh that would be AWESOME! Yeah, and you need the codestones for your training, so there's not any major reason to change. I agree with the logic in that. A shame Defenders hasn't been fixed. It's not scaled, but I think with the new BD, you could probably face the opponent on any difficulty and still complete each challenge. I purposely completed Defenders series 1 and 2 in the old battledome before they changed over, just in case. So I couldn't confirm that for certain from experience. I think DoN has been down since they brought in the new battledome, though I could be mistaken on that. Hmmm.... You could probably do some of the harder DoN series 1 battles. Looking at some of my victory screenshots from back then, my peophin was about in the same shape as your Ixi is, stat-wise when it took on some of the tougher DoN Series 1 opponents. I'll put them behind a spoiler thing so as not to take up a ton of room, these were apparently from 2012. Your weapons are much stronger than mine were back then, but also, these opponents have the same weapons as they had back then, just updated Faerie abilities. I'm not sure what their HP and boosts are relative to their difficulty settings are, Easy, Normal, Mighty, but If their HP is comparable to what you see their max HP is in these screenshots you should be able to beat them at whatever that difficulty setting is.
