I hit the jackpot today: for only about 1,000 I completed a Grey Faerie Quest. Then she sent me to the FOUNTAIN FAERIE!!! 
I've been wanting to paint my Invisible Kougra J88KK Candy ever since I first saw that beautiful new color. I kept forgetting to buy the brush. Now I don't have to. I'll post more about it in the Customization forum. 

Hipstopher was quick to help me earlier. I'm just glad we are all here to help each other!
 
Well, I was going to see if there was a reply to my call for help but I can't seem to find the message I posted! After I finished the Fountain Quest earlier I was awarded a dip in the pool. I went to the Rainbow Pool and it says I can't use the pool because I don't have a brush. Is there some trick or do I need to be somewhere else to take a dip?

And OH EM GEE the Wheel of Mediocrity spins SOOO fast on it, I couldn't stop laughing.
Bearing in mind that the one I've been using is my (extremely) old one, that I finally stopped using in 2014 or so because it was running so slow, then had to go back to when the screen died on the "newer" one (only a year younger!). But my old and well-loved workhorse, that has served me extremely well for 10 YEARS . . .  well. I think what I was basically doing was the computer version of people who won't get their pet down because they cant face the emotional pain it's going to cause them, despite the fact the animal's suffering.
It's been blue-screening all over the place, and more often than not, on start up, given me the delightful operating system not found message, that's always a heart-warming start to the day! I've had to perform major resuscitation on it several times in the past couple of weeks. Also there was the minor fact that because it ran on Vista Windows no longer supported it, and neither did just about all anti-virus stuff. So it was way past time that I let it retire with some dignity.
I DID finally learn to sync Firefox though, a couple of days ago, so while I'm here using a brand new machine, I have all my bookmarks and saved passwords. \o/
If I completely disappear now, it's because I've downloaded Minecraft.  I've not been able to play on that since having to go back to my oldest lappy, poor thing couldn't handle it. So it's gonna suck me in BIG TIME once I start on that again!

Oh my gosh!!!!  I just tried this on Microsoft Edge and it is a beautiful white screen!!! You just have to deal with the box!

LOL.  I don't know if I am USUALLY right, but sometimes I get lucky!  LOL.  Wow, the flowing air faerie skirt did drop a LOT in price.  But ya know what, I think I may have still sold mine for a lot less.  I don't remember.  It's hard to gauge these things.  Some things are better if you hold to them, some things better if you sell right away, and some things, obviously, you have to sell right in the middle.  LOL.  I have so much stuff that I am holding on to for that PERFECT time to sell.  But WHEN is that perfect time going to be?  I have NO IDEA!!!!!!  LOL. 
Trust me, that stuff has happened to me, and pretty much all of us at one time or another, where we've missed a day and therefore the great prize.  You think you have already collected it or did whatever you had to do, only to realize later, NOPE!  It really burns.  But, hopefully you will be able find the prize for a reasonable price.

Thanks everyone! Since I posted, I've also managed to snag a Full Wocky Armour (asking 127,000, still lowest on the wiz) which is r98 and a Combo Battle Mirror which is also an r99. Not sure if I'll sell the Combo Mirror. I tend to like reflectors. Probably because the 50% breakable ones saved my rear a NUMBER of times. LOL Though I usually tend to use them as a last resort against really hard opponents, like against an event/plot boss. ;) Although, I have plenty of Expert Lenses and that's 50% reflection, vs the Combo Mirror's 75% reflection. Expert Lens is cheap and doesn't break, Combo mirror looks like it sells for much more, and doesn't break. Decisions Decisions! LOL I'm really not sure yet what I'll do with it.

I ALMOST snagged a Full Peophin Armour, but someone beat me to the final haggle. lol I have one for my gallery that I got a few years back. Seeing the current asking price in the shop wiz makes me wish I had waited. LOL It's kind of funny. I've never had chances like these in the Defense or Battle Magic shops before. I wonder if people are either going to NPC shops with "more lucrative" RS items, or something? At any rate, it's cool snagging a couple decent items to sell or use now and then. But like with many things, the waiting for a good item to show up is the worst part. LOL So I'm not going to turn into an RSer, I don't think I've the patience for it. But, maybe I might try it again, once in awhile. Someday. ;) It is pretty thrilling when you can actually GET an item though. lol

It's obviously very exaggerated. and it's a TCG card.

If you offer them half or even less, and they turn you down, you can always haggle up in increments. If you agree to the 20 M, you're committed. YES that IS my intention and they're open to haggle. I once slashed more than 50% off one item's price just bcz it was in my trades for YEARS and i just wanted to get rid of it.

Hey thanks for the reply! I sent it to my work email with a three letter message; just to make sure I didn't hit an error or something but, maybe I'll wait for it to pop up.. I can also try again tomorrow because it runs until tomorrow I believe.

Jess, I am so sorry for what happened to you. Unfortunately, your mother didn't understand how these sites work. It isn't the same as sharing a toy and letting her play with your stuff. I also know how difficult it is losing a cat. Most of us here have been through the trauma of a dying pet. I'm sure these two events together make this seem even worse. It may help to think that even though your cat's body is gone, they live on in our memories, so they are never really gone, just in a better place. 
I have a few suggestions:
1. Have a talk with your mother. Tell her everything you're feeling, if she doesn't already know. Hopefully she will be understanding and helpful. 
2. I know this next part is hard, but learn to forgive. That means forgiving your mother, your sister, and even Neopets for their rules. Your relationship with your mother and sister last much longer than your time on this site, and is much more important. I suspect your little sister looks up to you and wants to be like you. Many of us were once either the older or younger sibling, so we know what it's like. If perchance your mother is less than ideal, you may have to be a parental figure to your sister someday. And she may greatly appreciate you for that and what she learns from you over the years. The love and relationships in your life are what should come first.
4. Neopets, and other games, are only as real as we make them. It's good that you have enjoyed your pets so much. But what they are is actually a product of what is inside of us. We create them to reflect what we are, or would like to be. Your cat died, and its memory will be with you forever. But your Neopets didn't really die. Their personalities will live on in the new pets you create. That is what has happened to so many players over the years. They were forced to start over. So don't see this as a personal defeat. It's not your fault. It isn't a loss, it's a victory, because you are the better person for still playing and starting over. They will live on, maybe with the same species, or perhaps new ones. Maybe different names, or similar ones. All you lost were some imaginary points and objects which can be replaced. What stays the same is the fun and good memories, whether the pet is a lower level or a higher one. You will love them just the same. And, because you were brave enough to open up and talk about this, I think you just made some new friends. We're here and willing to help. 
For some reason, I just had a flashback to Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. Maybe you can relate to what she went through and learn from her. That story resonates over the ages because we all have to face things on that winding path of life and overcome them, and then learn to value the things we overlooked before. 

If you are getting back in the game and trying to earn NP, you may want to sell the more valuable books. I like to keep those since they disappear if read. (The titles and descriptions are sometimes clever and make me laugh ). Another quick way (which is free) to gain intelligence points is the Faerie Crossword Puzzle. They have the answers posted on the forum every day. You get more points if you do it faster so consider looking over the answers first.

Lakecat, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't give up on the fruit machine!  Even if you have to mix up some potions to clear JUST that haze!  I too had only gotten 2 paint brushes in the past 10 years of playing NPs, well, really only like 4 or 5 of seriously playing, but I have gotten 2 PBs in the past month from the fruit machine!  I got a skritchy sketch PB which I posted on the dailies forum and I just got a water PB the other day!  So if you are going to give up on any daily, DON'T give up on that one.  The chance of getting PBs is VERY real. You just have play it every day, and be PATIENT.  LOL
Maybe I can answer this question for you.  There are a couple of "benefits" of having neofriends.  1 benefit is that, when they are online, their avatar and name is in the bottom left corner of your screen.  IDK (I don't know) about others, but it makes me feel less lonely.  LOL.  Like they are almost sitting there next me.  I can neomail them and they usually respond right away.  Which gets me to the next benefit.  If you click on "My Account" at the top of the page, then scroll down to "neofriends" it will bring up a list of all of your neofriends.  You can put a check mark next to up 50 friends you want to be your VIP friends.  That means that when you send them items or neomails, you can select their name from a drop down rather than having to type it.  You can set up auctions that are for Neofriends only.  That way, if your friend wanted something that was too expensive for the TP or your shop, you can put it up for auction without worrying that some random user will buy it.  (Any of your friends can buy it though, so hopefully if they did, they are kind enough to return it- LOL). Finally, if you go to the preferences page, you can block everyone from sending you neomails except for your neofriends.  So that way you won't get neomail from people you don't know, only your friends.  Those are some benefits I can think of right off the top of my head.

You are so very welcome.  I was reading one of your posts where it said that you wanted it.  So I though, "It isn't a big deal to me, if I get one I will give it to her."  I chose the Stealthy negg and there it was.  I was super excited.  I am glad you like it.  I would love to check it out on one of your pets.
@lakecatyes, there usually is better prizes for collecting them everyday.  If you go to the main page, where you "joined the negg hunt" you will see check marks for each day.  They should all be gold.  You will probably have one green one, I am assuming it will be green, IDK as mine are all gold.  In the years past we got a clothing item for completing each day on that day.  Like the air faerie skirt, the fire faerie skirt.  So, to answer your question, again, yes, normally you need to collect them all on the day of release.
