nicolelouise
So now that I've ascertained that there's a neopets issue with telling me I've not won a prize in the battledome when I have, I've had a couple more battles where I haven't actually found anything in my inventory when I got there. So now I want to know, do you win a prize every time you win a battle? Because if you don't, that kinda sucks!
Duskitty
There is a chance that you won't win anything from battling, yes :( You can also only win 15 prizes per day from the Battledome.

Ah. OK. That makes something else I read make a lot more sense now. But I'm miffed that I'm not even close to having won 15 yet when it leaves me high and dry. (I'm also annoyed because I lost my last battle and I'm trying to work out where I went wrong.)
Mouseykins
With the prize notifier not working correctly in the battledome, what I do is clear my inventory before battling. Then after every couple of battles I'll refresh my inventory until I have 15 items and then I'll finish the current battle and call it a day. It's a bit annoying to switch tabs all the time and I definitely don't get prizes every battle and I'm fighting on hard, so that won't have anything to do with it. It's mostly a time-luck type of thing. You'll eventually get the 15 prizes if you spend enough time battling.
battlegirl87
Sometimes I have to fight 20 or more battles to get my full 15 items, sometimes I get items nearly every time. I always reach the 1500 np limit waaay before I get all my items and it gets kind of expensive buying healing potions when I battle continuously so I try to space my battles out at least 30-40 minutes apart. I'm not sure if the time of day you battle has any influence on what/how many items you get or not but if I battle a few times in a row and don't get anything or just get junk, I come back later and it seems to help. Ranaki
I've always hated RNG based things. I always end up with the discard-able book and plushies majority of the time.
Aquamentis12
In my battles, I seem to hit a "dry spell" of no prizes after winning several to around 10 or 11 prizes. That's when I usually notice several battles go by without prizes being awarded. This makes me think that MAYBE it's not completely random. If it WERE, we'd probably be battling ALL day for the daily limit of 15 prizes, in which case, I really don't believe it would be worth it if that ever becomes the case. Not unless some super rare items, rarer than many of the current rare items certain opponents yield. Would make it worth our while to battle. Yes, the way it's set up now where you can go a number of battles without winning is annoying. But before the transition to Jumpstart, I could get all 15 prizes in about 5 minutes or less. So about 20 or so battles taking into account victories that did not award prizes. With the BD currently laggy, it can take a bit longer to win all 15 prizes, and it's annoying that it lags at all. But at least we still get our prizes. ;) I hope that TNT can get to working on fixing the current minor bugs that exist in the BD soon. :) It'd be nice if they could post a possible schedule for when the bug fixes around the site might get fixed by. Oh well. All we can really do is wait. :P

Just to clarify, just because you don't win anything in one battle doesn't mean you've stopped winning for the day. You might win nothing in your first battle but win 2 prizes in the next one. So don't give up until you've won all 15 of your prizes for the day! nicolelouise and Aquamentis12
teeniem55
yeah, I just play until I reach 15 prizes for the day. Like the one other poster said, I clear my inventory do a couple of battles and have an extra tab open that I just pop over to and refresh to see what's in my inventory. No big deal. rowtiderow and Aquamentis12

Ahhhhh! haaaahaaaahaaaa! Yes, two whole nps. Now that is funny. I didn't even get an item with it. lol.

Pretty sure that simply means you were 2NP from hitting the 1.5k pure cap on the battledome, as most opponents seem to have pretty "set" neopoints awards in all other cases. Yes, I know that you get a certain amount of NPs for battling each day. So why not add that 2 nps into the round prior? I just got a kick out of it is all. I thought it was funny. And since I hadn't reached my item limit yet, I thought I could have at least have gotten an item too, just so it didn't look so, well, um, pathetic. lol. I got a laugh out of it and thought others might too. Thanks for your response though.
