Got a Gold Trimmed Robe the second time. I wonder if there is a maximum times per day a petpet can go down, or if there is only a limitation based on the hours of waiting. There are other things that only allow every 8 hours, so it would make sense for this (got a 6.5 hour wait the first time and a 7.5 hour wait, now a 8.5 hour wait) to only be limited by the waiting.

Dailies are meant to be done from your main account, and main account only. If you are afraid of something happening to your loved petpet, then equip a cheap petpet to another pet and use that one.

Well, now that TNT stated in today's Editoral that nothings happens to your petpet, I sent my Zombie Slorg because I think he matches the situation nicely :P I equipped him with that lantern dealie. Let's see what tomorrow brings to us!
