Eating contest ended, is there no prize for people cheering the winner?

The annual eating contest has ended and the second from the right won it seems.

 

Is there no special prize or anything for people who cheered for her?

Nope- no one seems to have won anything at the conclusion of the eating contest, regardless of who they cheered for.

 

Considering that the entire event was giving out prize after prize, I can't say I'm too surprised. ;)

Good point, was thinking that my self, I just don't really see the point of making it into a competition and declaring a winner if you don't win anything at the end :P

It gets people to rally on teams, and gets a sense of camaraderie. :)

It's like in real life -- when your team wins the Super Bowl, all you win is the satisfaction of the reflected glory, and the right to boast and gloat at the water cooler. We're just used to being handed prize after prize by TNT. Since I didn't support Scarlett, I'm kind of glad, though I wouldn't have minded an avvie or something for those who managed to participate every day.

Well, I don't think an avatar would be good, unless for participating every day. Maybe a Trophy would have been nice, Gold, Silver, Bronze and a medal. An avatar for the winners (even though I did pick Scarlet) wouldn't be fair for the ones that did participate every day till the max popped up but just picked the "wrong" opponent. I kinda like this, but I do believe there will be less competition if they repeat it next year.

It was a little surprising that there was no final prize of some sort for picking the winner. I did make a few NP on some interesting items. That I got while cheering, but even if no prizes were given for cheering the winner, a congratulations image for that would've been a bit more interesting than nothing at all. Seems a bit anti-climactic to me. ;)

This is how I feel. I guess we might still see an announcement tomorrow. I would have expected there to not be much of a delay, because I think it was pretty easy to predict who was going to win.

The whole thing feels a little fishy, like maybe this was an unauthorized contest. And the "event" itself was so small, more like a lead-in activity for something bigger, that I wouldn't be surprised if we get something cooler with the news post. I'll be a little disappointed if we don't.

We don't have Super Bowl where I come from, so I wouldn't know ;)
