I'm still sick. It's driving me crazy not being able to talk. We finally got snow today in NH, where do you live, Javi? I picture you living in the South(I'm from NC).

Lucky. :( I've been seeing too much of it this week.

Yes! Take it all! :D

I don't remember my first memory of it, but I always remember my dad taking my sister and I sledding and stuff in the snow. I was a summer baby, so the following winter would have been my first snows.

I haven't seen snow in about two months. And it's late December, the time of the year when it's supposed to snow and not be 50 degrees outside.

In case anyone doesn't remember, there was a big snowstorm around Halloween in the Northeast, which led to messy roads, power outages and school cancellations. (My school didn't get cancelled because of snow; instead it got cancelled because the power was out district-wide.)

I first saw snow in New York City when I went to vacation there a few years ago.

Also, random, but when I was 3, a house burned down about 4 houses down, and right now they just finished building it. xD

That's happened here. Last January, a house on my way to work burned down. It still isn't finished being re-built, though it's close.

And there was another house when I was in middle school, that burned. It's still how it was then. (They determined it was intentionally set by the owner's for insurance money. Since it was intentional, they didn't get the money, so it's just sat there, boarded up. They haven't torn it down, or rebuilt it. And that was like, 13-14 years ago.)

The fire was intentional? o_O They should still tear it down. Why leave a burnt house there when there can be more people there? :P

I had to wait until 9AM or something to unwrap presents. I'm happy that I got a good sum of money this year, I'm willing to save it for some flea market visits.

Yep. They were hoping not to get caught. (They wanted to think someone else started the fire so they could collect the insurance money.) I don't know why it didn't get torn down. I know they couldn't rebuild because they didn't get the insurance money, but maybe that had something to do with tearing it down as well.

Merry Christmas TDN! :) I'm at work today, but since almost everyone else is off work, things will most likely be nice and quite today.

I got like five things. T_T My sister got like 1678365936483820203826273837589632485234 25 gifts. On top of that, I got five bucks. <_<

That's weird, Spritzie. Who would they think started the fire? Weirdos. :P

There's been plenty of buildings here set on fire, purposefully, just to ruin things. There's insurance money given, depending on the policy, depending on if it was intentional (I've known people who accidentally started fires with candles) or if it was, who set it. (The home-owner doesn't get the money, if they started it.)

Apparently, the house that burned down on my street started with a candle. It was a man who lived there accidentally brushed against one.

Yeah, candles can be dangerous if you aren't careful. A family I grew up with, the grandson (who was actually right between my age and my sister's age) started a fire in their house by having a candle too close to curtains.

I've never purposely or accidentally burned anything. :P

Off-topic: This was a request from my cousin, but I feel lie posting it here:

I've never purposely burned anything...but once when I was making some pasta, I accidentally burned part of an oven mitt.

I don't think I had it it very close to the flame, it was just touching the handle and one moment later it just... burst into flames. o_O

If I do have a candle in my room, I have it on a granite counter away from anything else. I haven't burned anything, but I burnt my finger once when I was 3. :P

I don't use candles because I gave the only scented candle I have to my friend, and I would probably end up burning down my whole room. (There's paper everywhere, and besides, I don't consider my room to be clean enough to have a candle)

My mom always loved candles and always stocked up on them. I think for the last week, We've had a berry scented candle burning in the kitchen all day, except when we've been sleeping.

I like candles. Now, during christmas I have apple&cinnamon candle from Ikea. It smells wonderfull. I also have one that smells like vanilla and one that smells like berries. Wonderful :)

I have an addiction to candles.

I usually tend to like the berry ones: Mulberry, Raspberry Sorbet, Blackberry Crisp....

My mom likes more of the spice/pumpkin spice types.

lol @ how everyone ignored Khaos' picture.I thought it was funny...

^That. :P

I have one scented candle in my house, in my kitchen. I'm not a big fan of candles.
